The interior is pretty nice too, decent sized bar. What was really great were the prices. Other fancy burger places here charge upward of 12-13 a burger and they don't even serve fries! Wth?! Soooo delicious! Today I had scampi pasta with grilled chicken. The sauce is a sour cream sauce with sauteed tomato. Unbelievably yummy! I look forward to having it again. My daughter had the same pasta with salmon. She said it was scrumptious. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of mine when it was served. Looked so good I just dove right in. Will take a pic next time! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The place is dark and gloomy like depression. We can hardly see the menu, that we had to light up our iPhone light to see the menu. I ordered a medium well burger but gave me a dry burger with no taste to it. My wife Philly cheesesteak doesn't have flavor and it was bland. We ordered an appetizer of onion rings. It looks like our onion rings were drown in heavy grease that it doesn't taste right. I am wondering if they changed the vegetable oil? It was sloppy and it wasn't well prepared. We had takeout here and it was delicious even after the short distance home. Easy to order and pay. Only took about 15-20 mins for food to be ready on a Monday evening. We've only been here for breakfast. They cook hash browns the way they were meant to be cooked. Not too thick and nice and crispy.

The food is always super yummy!! Whether it's a burger, salad or pasta, you can't go wrong. My husband says it's the best chicken sandwich he's ever had. And he's quite the fried chicken expert! Watching and experiencing the service at Mr Zeke's reminded us of what good service is all about! We arrived around 5:30 to quite a few diners already seated inside and out. A friendly and busy greeter seated us promptly. There were 6 or 7 servers, all bustling and working their tables. Our server, Johanna, was so attentive and efficient! She was as busy as the other servers yet made her way to our table at least 4 times to check on us. My husband and I both ordered the ribeye dinner, with fresh veggies (perfectly cooked) and a tossed salad. The salad dressing was house made Rosemary/Basil and was very tasty. This is one of the best restaurants in Pinetop! We were here twice while staying in Show Low for the month. They have the most delicious Salmon and the Salads are amazing. I promise you I am an expert in both these foods, I eat salad daily and Salmon at least 5 times a week. There is ample parking but I would recommend getting there before 5 because this place fills up fast. The service is also excellent. This review is a result of trying this restaurant multiple times over a period of a year. First, the quality of the food is just ok. We have tried at least 10 items on the menu. A common theme is SMALL portions compared to a restaurant like Darbies. Next server errors are common, even when not busy. Order drinks and you may have to ask multiple times to actually receive them. After our last visit we discovered that we were charged for two glasses of wine when only one was delivered to the table. Meal one: build your own burger medium rare (was too rare for my taste), cheddar cheese on a brioche bun. Yum!! Popped into the microwave for a few seconds and was perfect. Accompanied by the tempura battered onion rings...additional yum! Meal 2: 1/2 rack ribs (dry rub) with regular fries. Just ok and a little on the dry side even for dry rub ribs. Had asked for fries to be crispy but were quite soggy. Meal 1 was a winner! There is outdoor seating and indoor as well. Patrons were seated with distance. I chose Mr Zeke's since the yelp reviews were better than other nearby restaurants and looked like they had menu items my kids would want to eat. The first time we ate here we were seated upon arrival but it took longer than I would've preferred with kids for our server to show up. He brought my kids apple juices in adult sized cups with no straws or lids which I knew was a recipe for disaster with my toddler who I ended up struggling with. Not long after a spill, a meltdown that could've been avoided and a new to go cup our food arrived which was very satisfying. The fried chicken California sandwich was one of the better fried chicken burgers I've ever had and the Parmesan garlic fries were tasty although they could've been hotter. Came back the next morning for breakfast to go and very disappointing that they couldn't replace the chorizo with avocado in the Mexican breakfast I ordered. They were out of avocado. I was still specific on no meat, the waitress who took my order even repeated it back to me at the end but I still ended up with a breakfast full of meat that I couldn't eat. Do yourself a favor and go to Mr Zeke's. We recently moved to the Mountain and have been trying local restaurants. We were out with friends who moved up here six months before us and we decided to stop in on a Saturday for Lunch. I had a Prime Rib Philly and it was absolutely delicious. The sandwich comes with the meat and cheese. Any extras like peppers, etc are a nominal charge which is fine by me because I don't want the peppers. Instead I opted for Green Chile's. I also had the Parmesan Garlic fries. The fries could have been cooked a little longer, but in fairness, I did not ask for them to be cooked well done. They were quite good. My wife had a build your own burger. Our friends had a taco burger and a caprese sandwich thing. Everyone loved their food and we vowed to return again. So whether you are residents like us, or just visitors, stop into Mr Zeke's Restaurant. Great place, cool atmosphere and it is in the most beautiful area of Arizona, so there's that. read more

Met some friends at Mr. Zeke's for a weekend dinner and had an enjoyable experience. The place was busy but staff made sure to accommodate our group as soon as possible. The restaurant has a wide variety of meal options and specials at prices that are hard to beat. After looking over themenu, I went with their meatloaf dinner special that included two sides for just a little over $10. The wait for the meal did take a bit of time but with good company it was no big deal and to be expected on a busy weekend night. Once the food arrived, everyone seemed happy with what they ordered. My meatloaf was good and even though I typically like a sweet glaze, the brown gravy tasted real flavorful. The vegetables and fries sides were also tasty. Overall, I wasn't blown away but had a nice meal amongst friends. I will certainly be back and would recommend Mr. Zeke's to my Yelp friends. read more
