Everything we had was delicious! Split the appetizers sampler. It's supposed to have 5 of each but boy did it come with more than that. Slaw had a strong kick, mushrooms were very juicy, thick cut onions, and tasty zucchini. Very impressed. Parm garlic fries crispy and great, fire fries not so spicy but good flavor. Service was great, our waitress was nice and friendly. The vibes were chill for a busy Saturday. We received our food within a decent amount of time. I got a sourdough veggie sandwich, it was mid. My sourdough didn't taste fresh, it fell apart. It was supposed to have aioli but I barely tasted it. My sister had the alfredo pasta. It was over-salted and extremely garlicky. They're things that can be adjusted. I also feel the portions are small. As an American, I expect bigger. LOL. I'll return in another year or so. read more

I absolutely loved this restaurant on my first trip. It's worth the hype! You have top rate service, nice big wooden comfortable chairs unlike so many others, and you just wanna sit and stay a while. There's two TVs, a bar, inside seating, as well as patio seating. I had the California burger with fries, and a big beautiful glass of iced tea. Neither disappointed. That brioche bun was absolutely perfection, with a big beef patty it was lean, fresh vegetables, and I'm glad that I kept the jalapeño and the sauce on it, versus asking for them on the side. Food and service were immaculate!!!! We walked in and were immediately seated and greeted with big smiles. The servers were knowledgeable and also not too bad to look at food was served hot and fresh and was very tasty. I got the Mac n cheese burger and the Mac n cheese were hot and the beef in the burger was incredible! The garlic Parmesan fries were well seasoned and the ranch was good too. The servers brought a special birthday surprise dessert for me and sang which was really special and much appreciated. We will be back to Mr. Zeke's very soon!! read more

Outdoor dining was available but at the front of the building and subject to the road noise from hwy 260. Service was acceptable until a concern was voiced and then it went downhill. Food was average in both flavor and presentation. The highly disappointing part of our breakfast was the request for adding strawberries and bananas to the French Toast at $1.50 for each added fruit for a total of $3. The fruit portion was that of adding a garnish to the plate - literally a few thin slices of each. When brought to the attention of the server we were told "it's expensive eating out these days". We will never choose to dine there again and will freely share our experience with others. read more

Incredibly disappointing. The Patty Melt was by far the worst that I have ever had and the fries were limp. I only ate half of the patty melt as it was just a burger with grilled onions and unlike any Patty Melt that I have ever had. Mr. Zeke's has been my favorite restaurant in the White Mountains from the time I first tried it. I've always gotten friendly service, amazing food, and the atmosphere is great. I like the darker interior of places that remind one of a steakhouse, and you get that here. Over the years I've been greeted by so many friendly faces, and I've never had bad service. The girls, since I've only been served and helped by girls (What's up Roberto), are spectacular. When it comes to the food, the sautéed shrimp appetizer is to die for. Used to get calamari but I think supply chain issues has changed the one I'm used to. For the main course, I can't decide between the Hangover Burger or the Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich with crispy chicken. My gosh is the chicken sandwich delicious!!! I've had that sandwich at least 80% of the time I've gone. The burger is still good tho. Best option for burgers for me. I have yet to have dessert as I'm always so full after eating otherwise I could advise on that front. Also as a side note, their beer prices are pretty good too. They may be average but I believe they are cheaper than most other restaurants. Oh, and 2 for $8 mimosas ALL THE TIME cannot be beat. I'm in love with this restaurant and all the staff I've had the pleasure of meeting over the last 2 and a half years. You cannot go wrong with Mr. Zeke's anytime of the day. (I forgot to mention breakfast is always good. Overstuffed omelets, chicken fried steak (sub for crispy chicken. Amazing), and even have a steak for breakfast or brunch. The Village chicken sandwich with grilled chicken did not fall apart as I ate, despite being piled with toppings, and the chicken was perfect, not chewy and no weird texture. Alright, this place is a little small and loud but it was fun for the moment. Perfect place after hitting the slopes, mountain biking, or just feeling like some good grub! I got the Hangover Burger cooked medium and it was amazing! The downside was our waitress. Maybe just stressed and having a rough day or something. They were really busy (probably because other restaurants were closed). But it was the little things. Took a while to get her attention...after all, it was busy. But when we did and we asked for napkins and a refill on my root beer, she took my cup and when she returned she set the napkins and soda on the other side of the table, out of reach. Didn't crack a smile or a grin. I'm a very forgiving person because I've worked in environments like this, but I think she needed to take a 5 minute break after some help arrived so she could gain some composure. 5 for food and 3 for service. We love ZEKE'S! We have never had a bad item here, though many things are probably terrible for us, LOL. We always made a point to eat here when we got anywhere near Pinetop-Lakeside, but knew that it could be dangerous for us if we lived closer. That dream/fear came true when one opened in Gilbert, but apparently that one just closed last week, sooooo back to Pinetop it is! I want to start off by saying the food here was mediocre at best. I had the chicken fried steak, which came with broccoli that were freezing cold, one was still fully frozen. Mash potatoes and brown gravy that tasted like water and the chicken fried steak that was unseasoned. I didn't think it was possible to mess up 3 different portions on plate. I will say that my golden retriever loved it tho. The wings were okay a sauce was fantastic but the meat was rubbery. What an awesome find on Yelp! This place just opened a few months ago in Pinetop and I'm so glad my friend and I stopped here for dinner. Whoever Zeke is...he's a genius. The flavor combinations are out of this world. I had the 'Zeke Cut the Cheese' sandwich, minus the bacon & tomato, add avocado. The sandwich was served on a parmesan crusted bread and it was seriously the best grilled cheese I have ever had. I also got a side salad with the sandwich and chose the rosemary dressing, which was delicious. Next time I'm in Pinetop, I'll be sure to stop here! read more

We've been here several times. The service was actually very good. Have to consider yeah we're on the mountain. Food has always been comfort food! Everything made from scratch, I would advise to not get the side of vegetables as they are warmed up frozen but the side salad is super good. We were fortunate enough to get a seat on the front porch. We really enjoyed the food, the seating on the porch and the service!!! I initially gave four stars, but quickly changed it up to five stars. I initially chose four stars because I really NEED to have tomato soup with that tasty grilled cheese!! I envisioned dipping that grilled cheese in some tomato soup!!! I also prefer thicker cut, skin on fries. I will say the fries were hot and tasty. They are totally the bomb for the eats on the mountain! From their fish Friday's to the scrumptious humongous lasagna plate!! Today for the first time we tried their amazzzin chef salad and the burger with mushrooms spinach, and feta cheese. They were both the best! Salad was so large and overflowing with goodness that I couldn't even eat half of it! My hubby's burger was smothered in flavor bursting mushrooms with gently sautéed spinach.
