    Crispy knafeh
    Gil A.

I was having a knafe craving for 2 days. And I was about to go anywhere but if someone calls themselves Mrs knafe they must be a specialist. she was a specialist , not to sweet not oily (no seed oils / she uses ghee) FRESH . I was thinking if I went anywhere else they would just use a frozen one and heat it up. her knafe was amazing my opinion matters because I'm from Israel and I have tried the Palestinian knafeh from East Jerusalem . She is really passionate about her knafeh anyone can tell .

I work on Figueroa and Mrs. Knafeh popped up as a suggestion for me on Instagram so I had to come check it out. It's a cart on Figueroa so if you don't pay attention you could easily miss it. I got the original knafeh and 4 of the atayef. My favorite was the sweet cheese atayeh but my friends loved the walnut cinnamon as well. The knafeh is shareable (three of us shared one) just to give you an idea of the size. The taste and texture kind of reminded me of cornbread if it wear flatter. Everything was delicious. I couldn't recommend it more.

They are super responsive and patient on social media about hours and availability of items. I love their Dubai Chocolate, definitely would recommend to bring a cooler bag to keep it from melting. Love Mrs Knafeh and will definitely come back again.

    Crispy Knafa with Arabic Coffee

Mrs.Knafeh truly loves her craft and the love is shown in the food. The service is good and everything tastes perfect because it's made with care and time. I loved enjoying my street side knafeh here along with the Arabic coffee both of the items I got tastes how they should, yummy. Excited to try different items when I come back. There's plenty of parking and other halal food carts around this area as well.

Stopped here on way to Union Station as we were looking for the viral chocolate knafeh. Well we couldn't resist trying the OG Knafeh and man was it amazing. The cheese pull was insane and the sweetness with cheese was just right. If you want it a little less sweet just ask her not to put as Much syrup, but mine was perfect.

We came for some Turkish kebab and couldn't help but notice Mrs. Kunafa and her adorable little stand. We ordered the crispy kunafa with extra syrup -- it was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. Highly recommended! She's also incredibly sweet and welcoming.

Amazing service. Amazing desserts. So happy I found this food truck. Great prices and size of dessert.

Recently introduced to knafeh, a middle eastern dessert, at Jerusalem Roastery in Garden Grove. Found this food truck in dtla on a Friday night. (Sunset & Figueroa between connecting luxury apartment buildings) There were several food trucks parked on Fig, mostly middle eastern. Lady working the truck, Mrs. Knafeh?, was friendly but didn't share much history of this dessert besides that it originated from Palestine when I asked. $14 is a bit pricey but when your competition is in garden grove, you can name your own price. She used phyllo dough topping which wasn't bad but I prefer semolina. Cheese, honey and pistachio shavings were all good. Satisfied the craving for the night.

Service was a little slow, we had to remind them to get our drinks and desserts a few times. But overall we had a good experience, it's a great place to hang out and chill. The food was fantastic, we enjoyed everything we ordered. For appetizers we got the mezza sampler (Hummus, Baba Ghannoush, Falafel, Cheese Sambousek, Heirloom Tomatoes, Marinated Olives, pita). The pita bread was so good! We also really like the chicken sambousek, I wish they had beef too. The Fattoush salad was refreshing & super tasty, I really liked the pomegranate lemon dressing. For main entrees we enjoyed the Mediterranean Chicken Manoush (pizza). It was a good size, next time we will try the Merguez Sausage pizza. We also really like the Braised Short Ribs and the Mediterranean Halibut. Both dishes were tender & flavorful, just wish they were bigger. We really liked their fresh squeezed hibiscus lemonade and the fresh mint lemonade. Unfortunately the desserts were only ok, they were a little dry. We tried the bread pudding, pistachio rose cake, Nutella jam cookie and carrot cake. We will definitely return to try more items on the menu.

Both times the waitstaff were strangely rude, like remarkably unfriendly, and hard to get a hold of. The entrees we ordered were oddly small portions, like bizarro small. It was cold, with all the doors open, and the music was so loud we could barely hear each other. I really wanted to like it, how nice to have a Lebanese place close to my house, and returned thinking maybe it was a fluke the first time.

We let the waiter know it was our first time trying Lebanese food and he went through the whole menu with us, which was extremely helpful. I love rose flavored drinks and desserts, so I was excited to try the jallab recommended by the waiter; it's now probably in the top 5 drinks I've ever had. The grape leaves and babaganoush were a must for us, since we wanted to try dishes that were different from what we have tried before. The grape leaves were herby and hearty, and the babaganoush was flavorful without the tang of a hummus, which I enjoyed. The fried cauliflower was crispy and hot with a creamy sauce that paired well. We liked the tenderloin kabobs a bit more than the chicken since it was juicer and more flavored. The interior is bright and airy, complimenting the hot afternoon perfectly. There was unfortunately no dedicated parking lot but there is street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Overall an outstanding first experience with Lebanese food, can't wait to be back!

The Tumeric braised chicken is amaaazzzinggg the chicken is so juicy and falls off the bone. The rice has some sort of crunchiness to it that compliments the entire flavor profile of the dish. I love the way they serve: the food comes out when it's ready. It's so easy to pace ourselves and really enjoy the food, but also to get lost in conversation. I never felt rushed to move on, and I felt like we could have stayed there half the night. Brian checked in on us and was so friendly. We decided to share everything, and I'm so glad. Honestly I wish we could have tasted every single thing on the menu. The restaurant smelled so delicious. We started with the Roast Beets. The bed of whipped herbed ricotta the sweet creaminess of the dates, and the crunch of the pistachio was so dreamy, and the contrasting textures of beet chips and the beets made this appetizer beautiful and delicious. We ordered the pan-seared branzino which is served with puréed cauliflower beets (which tasted totally different to our appetizer), and wilted greens. The fish was exquisite, but I didn't eat as much as I wanted to because we also ordered meat and she's trying to not eat much meat, so I wanted her to have more fish. Next we shared the baby back ribs with were spiced with Turkish Coffee, grape molasses, and a perfectly balanced spice rub. There was perfect caramelization. The meat fell off the bones it was so tender. For dessert we had warm rice pudding which balanced out the meal perfectly. It was a wonderful meal in a beautiful space. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. It's lovely for a romantic meal, but, that said, it's not a very large menu - if you go with 4 or 5 friends you could order everything and share all of it! I hope I do that one day. Sorry I didn't take pictures. I was too busy looking at my girlfriend. The only negative thing I have to say is that there is no valet and parking was difficult - at least it was on Valentine's Day. I hate looking for parking, so I actually can turn this negative into a positive by saying that the food is good enough that I'm willing to drive in circles to go there.
