    Malawach Flakey Bread
    Elise B.

It wasn't too busy inside when we arrived. The Phyllo pies came with two and are crispy on the outside with lemony chicken & pine nuts inside. The Shrimp + shishitos are delicious soaked in the sage and dried rose butter. The Autonomy farms flatiron steak was juicy & tender and the salsa verde was a great combo. The Malawach flakey bread I could eat multiple plates of. I loved the Tahdig with its crispy, crunchy texture on the outside and soft inside. We ordered the Pistachio Pear Tart for dessert - it was sweet but not an overly sweet finish. Parking- street parking

Steak 8oz, braised chicken leg and shrimp scampi

Came here for their seasonal steak menu which is very different since they are better known for vegetarian food (but never tried before) Obviously got the 8oz steak, the color looked brilliant and flavor is spot on. BUUUUT, this is one strong workout for my jaws and tongues. I usually go for medium or medium rare, but this steak is just not tender enough without like 38 bites? Shrimp scampi pretty sure I can make this at home with ease. Chicken leg is my favorite. The sauce is rich and flavorful best if you order some of their dinner roll and dip it in. However, again, it's a big chunk of meat so the interior is not seasoned well, and I start to get that uncomfortable taste from it towards the end. So the service is pretty slow, but they turned out to be really nice people. We were gifted many of their cute post cards before we left.. I probably won't drive 40 min for their steak menu. The $90 per person price tag doesn't help. Maybe I'll try their regular menu later, who knows.

Too long on the to do list, we finally could not resist to go there, and there was no reason to regret. Sitting on one of the outside tables despite still rather chilly temperatures, the heaters made it very pleasant and the noise level was substantially better than on the inside. The server was very knowledgeable and humorous. Most importantly, the food was outstanding, from fried cauliflower, phyllo pies, sweet potato, panroasted rock fish (rather than vermillion), malawach flaky bread, and for dessert a cardamom semifreddo. What was MIA: no espresso, which is really a deadly sin for a mediterranean restaurant ...

Peppered honeynut squash and house salad

We sat outside on the patio area, which is the only option when you're reserving online through Resy. The inside is very modern and cozy. The seats outside were not comfortable, especially since we were there for an hour. We got the bread with butter and sea salt which paired well with the soup of the day which was a tomato bisque. The house salad was unique given the cashew Russian dressing. For entrees we had steak frites and peppered honeynut squash, both which were mediocre. The rose water lemonade was quite unbalanced and tart but our server was attentive and great! I might come back to try different menu items but initially not the best impression.

Wonderful dinner service last night at Kismet. Staff was so kind to ensure no cross contamination for my friend with Celiac, many gluten free things to choose from! My favorite was the cucumber salad and coffee cardamom semifreddo dessert. But everything was season, well prepared, and delicious!

Went during the steakhouse takeover so didn't get to try the main menu but it was fantastic. Unexpectedly unique tasting burger was the highlight.

Great location & service. Top notch food, very hard to get Persian food right and these guys have done fantastic. Try the crispy rice, chicken, lebneh and cucumber salad. Cant wait to be back

Love their food but ordered online and received two pieces of flaky bread for over $15 and a small scoop of the marinated feta for over $18.

Waiting for their good menu instead of this one. Not a fan of a steakhouse when it is advertised as Veggie forward.

Turmeric Braised Chicken - The dish was a bit on the basic end, not a lot of seasoning but you could taste the tumeric. Chicken was tender but slightly on the drier side which was a bit surprising considering it was dark meat (6.5/10) Kofteh Tabrizi - The tomato taste was prominent in the broth but the meatball itself was overly salty. The flavor was one note, I can't see myself ordering this again as I've heard this dish should have more complex flavors so I was disappointed (5.5/10) Kotlet Plate - As you can see from my picture, the kotlet was burnt beyond repair and I could taste the bitterness from the overused oil they used to fry it. I did like the yogurt spread and the pickles that came with it but I did not like the kotlet at all. We didn't bother asking them to replace it (4/10) Mirza Ghasemi w/ Barbari bread - The star of this whole experience was the Mirza Ghasemi, the roasted eggplant and tomato spread came cold and it was the most delicious thing we had. One of my friends vacuumed it right up before the rest of us could have seconds. Bread was a bit dry but it was a great vehicle for the Mirza (8.5/10) Lamb Gheimeh - Lamb was tender and it had some nice spices infused in there but it didn't wow me in any way (7/10) Sholezard - Our waitress brought over some complimentary Ceylon tea with the Sholezard which was kind. This rice dessert was not too sweet. The warmth and saffron ended our meal in a comforting way. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't get it again (7/10) +1 star for the service

It was such an unforgettable and refreshing experience. Chef Anita has such a vision. Every detail was well thought of, from the outdoor patio dining surrounded by olive bushes to the indoor wooden and oak touches with Fairouz playing overhead. We arrived midday on a Sunday and we're promptly sat, having been given the option for patio or indoor. We chose the patio, and between the clematis, lantana, and olive trees it is a very lovely setting in which to enjoy a meal. We were promptly brought a bottle of cold water and glasses, and our beverage orders were taken. I had a honey lavender latte with oat milk, and my husband had Lebanese coffee (no milk no sugar.) my latte was fragrant, the perfect temperature, and just the right amount of sweet. The Lebanese coffee was smooth, floral without being perfume, and excellent. We started with the falafel and the batata harra. Both absolutely excellent. For our entrees we selected the shakshuka and the Lebanese egg pie. Both were also excellent. Everything was well cooked, well presented, flavorful without being overwhelmed by any component. We took home a baklava tart, because we simply did not have the ability to eat more at the table. It was tender, moist, not too sweet, the pistachio flavor coming through as nutty and grassy, seriously so good! And it's worth noting, this whole restaurant is gluten free. I would not have realised if I had not known ahead of time. The texture of the pita with the shakshuka was exactly what one would expect, as was the bread of the egg pie. The pastry of the tart was flakey and delicious. And having said all of that, the service is what puts it above and beyond. Everyone was warm and pleasant, and seemed to genuinely appreciate the compliments. Staff seemed like they liked their jobs, which for me is always a good sign.

Their arayes are a must -- it's basically like a lahmajun with two pieces pressed together, and it's insanely good. I usually go all in and order the tabbouleh, babaganoush, a pound of lula kebab, and shish kebab. Honestly, if you're with 2+ people (or even just really hungry), ordering by the pound with sides is way better value than getting individual plates. You get more variety and it just feels like the right way to eat here. Every now and then I'll switch it up and get the liver plate -- it comes with tons of greens and onions, and when you wrap everything in their fresh pita, it's incredible.
