We celebrated my husband's birthday by having dinner here. We were greeted by a jovial young man at the door. We were immediately seated in the lounge. The lounge had a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Our server, a young lady, was quite friendly and didn't hesitate to come over to ask what we were going to drink. Dinner and drinks were amazing, the service was excellent. Yum!! This was my first time eating at Mtuccis and I was sad I hadn't eaten here before now! The staff were the friendliest I think I've encountered and we didn't feel rushed even though it was a busy friday night. The menu had some great options I hadn't seen at other Italian resteaunts and was more high end food than I was expecting! I took my friend with me to celebrate her birthday and they let her pick a desert option from the menu instead of a traditional free dessert! We started our meal with the house baked bread with basil olive oil and it was exceptionally good. I ordered truffle fried and the smoked prosciutto and apple pizza (treat yo self) and my friend ordered tomato soup and the spaghetti and meatballs. We ate until we were beyond full and so so happy. Excellent Mother's Day meal by M'Tuccis. We ordered online and it went smoothly, despite the fact that it seemed many families had the same wonderful dinner idea for Mom's Day. Not exactly what some consider traditional Italian, but a wonderful choice nonetheless. The food is always super fresh, excellent flavors, and prepared with quality ingredients. I am a frequent fan of the Chicken Milanese with an extra side of marinara, and Beet and Fennel Salad are fresh and delicious. My family frequently orders the Chipotle Chicken Pasta and The Harris Ranch Hanger Steak, both good. Thanks to COVID I found we can now order "prep menu kits" that serve 4. Exciting! We have bought the cookie dough to bake while we were working. They were gone within an hour of baking, I personally have no regrets about it. For Cocktails, the seasonal shrubs are a regular go-to for me. As a matter of fact, I am going to order the "Shrub Bar Tender Kit" tonight. $19 for the kit. Can't wait to try them at home. Life hands you lemons, make Shrubs! We really miss the whole atmosphere as I am sure most do now. We can't wait to see you Joe and Matt (our friendliest Bartenders)! We picked up 3 picnic packs to go last Sunday for Mother's Day, after some raving reviews by a family friend (and I've been wanting to try it for awhile). We ordered with a friendly voice on the phone and said it would be ready in about 20 minutes. There weren't many people in the parking lot at the time. We double checked our order and noticed we were missing some silverware, which after flagging them down was brought out to us quickly. My mom and I both got the green chile cheeseburgers, pasta salad, and chocolate chip cookies. My dad got the spicy Italian, pasta salad, and oatmeal raisin cookie. The burgers were well done (with the exception of a little pink), the green chile not too hot but flavorful, and the fresh mozzarella a nice added touch. The pasta salad creamy, fresh, and full of little niblets of feta and vegetables. The cookie was small, but soft and the chocolate chips still melty. A perfect day for a picnic at the park. This is a bold statement - but I dare say this is my favorite restaurant in all of Albuquerque! I love the environment. Even though Italian restaurants tend to be more fancy, date night establishments, M'tuccis caters to everyone. On any given night you'll see couples dressed up for date night, families out for a meal, friends catching up, and everything in between. I always feel welcome here whether I'm in a dress or my ripped jeans and a band shirt. Now to the main event- the food! Ah, the food. I have never had a bad meal here. Typically I get this heavenly honey truffle chicken, but it was missing from the menu tonight. I vouched to try something new and ordered the seared duck breast with risotto. OH MY! The duck was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I'm kicking myself for not trying something new every time now! Cocktails are well done but you can also vouch for wine. Fun tip- if you get a bottle of wine they offer you a chance to throw the cork in a bucket at the back of the bar. If you make it they give you a gift card matching the cost of the bottle (even if it's a half bottle). Staff is amazing. Service is quick. M'tucci's is known for their fabulous food and I can't say I disagree. I ordered two different food items, and I liked one very much, and didn't really care for the other. but that happens sometimes when you try a new place. No sweat! I also ordered two different cocktails and I loved them both! So their mixologist is top notch. I guess the negative for me, and why I only gave them three stars overall, was because I wanted to sit on the patio. In these days when some people think the pandemic is over, a lot of restaurants have given up or neglected their patios.... apparently M'tucci's is on that list. It was dark, and dirty, and hard to get service. That was particularly disappointing. Some restaurants embraced & expanded their patios we're in the pandemic. (Still Spirits downtown actually was allowed to take over much of the sidewalk -Hopefully the city doesn't come back and take that away from them.) Anyway these restaurants have made their patios a beautiful places to be. With some even having plexiglass windows, plants, and accessories. But the ones that just threw a bunch of last year's tables out and then closed it off with...whatever they had lying about... well they've given them up just as quickly. and I don't think it serves them well. Patios in New Mexico aren't always habitable (climate wise) but with misters in the summer and heaters in the winter, and some attention to detail, they can definitely expand capacity for seating, continue to allow people to sit farther apart from each other, and serve a niche clientele that really enjoys the outdoors. so this is what brought my this brought my review from Potential of five stars down to three. What a disappointment. Mtucci's 25 was recommended by a friend, so we met them there. The entrance door is so black with human oils that one doesn't want to touch it. The bathroom door looks like it has been through a battle. And these are surfaces that the public can see, what do you suppose those surfaces we can't see look like? We had the Milanese with pasta. The pasta may as well have been a hocky puck - all stuck together in one glob, with maybe a tablespoon of marinara (red sauce) to go with it. And the texture was surely overdone as it was like biting into mush. The Milanese was o.k., a bit dry and tuff but good flavor. Service was very good. We started with bread and basil oil/garlic butter & a prosciutto board. Phenomenal. The flavor profiles for every component on the board left us wanting more - 1-2 more slices of bread and it would have been very close to perfect. (humble opinion) Entrees - pizzas for the gents, pastas for the ladies. Decent fare, but the app knocked it so far outta the park it ruined me for dinner! Shrub cocktails were on special and delicious. No room for dessert unfortunately. AND the service was exceptional. For a $29.00 lobster and shrimp ravioli I was expecting it to be stuffed and it was barely filled with cheese. The sauce had the shrimp and lobster in it with some chili which was flavorful, but so disappointing. My husband had the applewood smoked beef ravioli and it was the same barely stuffed with any cheese and stuffing was just in the sauce. We ordered a side of bread to eat with the main dishes because they were not filling. We ordered the buje brownie which was disappointing too. I thought it was a hot brownie with gelato and marshmallow sauce as described on the menu, which it was not. I love M'Tuccis in all of its forms. Moderno, Deli, original. I've experienced and loved them all! Imagine my excitement when my husband was doing work at the soon to open M'Tucci's 25! We took his Granny out for lunch on Saturday and were seated right away. We sat in the back room and walked past the beautful wine display with river wood countertop. Gorgeous. Our server was attentive and polite. I ordered the Chicken Limone. The sauce was much darker than I was expecting and wasn't as lemony as I thought it'd be. But it was still flavorful and tasty. Granny got the Chicken Parmesan sandwich from their lunch special menu and she raved about it. Husband had the Meatball Panini and also loved it. The drink menu offered some interesting combos. I ordered the What's Up Doc. It's anejo, carrot juice and ginger beer. Yep, you read that right. It actually was quite tasty and made me trick myself into thinking I was imbibing in a healthy way. We went to M'Tuccis today for friend/ family bday celebration as we have done many times. Our server in the bar area started by telling us( not asking) to stay in the same seat if we wanted separate checks. We started with cocktails and ordered a table charcuterie. When she checked on us it was to ask if we would be ordering meals and if we would have more people joining us. She must have asked at 3-4 times and never cleared dirty dishes or glasses. She was obviously not happy to be there and was put off when we asked for bread, drinks. She was condescending when we asked for Champagne vs Prosecco. Salads were doused in dressing. Portion of steak was minuscule. Sorry to say, this experience left a bad taste in my pocketbook as well as my mouth. Too bad I will not return. read more

Nothing was piping hot and cold risotto, sauces & entrees can ruin the experience. 2- It's called bone marrow TOAST, not bone marrow soggy. This is a dish that I love, that I've had around the world. Do not serve me unevenly cut, thick slabs of dry & dense bread, and tell me that you only lightly warm the bread. That's not toast. The bread should be thinly cut, crispy on the bottom and delightfully seasoned. This was NOT. 3- Risotto- cold, clumpy, over creamed, under stirred. It is one thing to say that you make scratch level pasta, and another thing to make it properly. For the prices here, and based on my Foodie sons love of this place, I expected a lot more. My sister and brother in law took me to M'tucci's while I was visiting Albuquerque, and I am so happy they did. Our waiter Diego made our experience absolutely wonderful, highly recommend getting him to serve you! The pasta here is made fresh and produce is sourced by local businesses. All dishes were decently portioned and reasonably priced, definitely not your Olive Garden cheap with huge portions type deal. I had the blackberry goat cheese salad, which was AMAZING, especially for a salad. We had their new lemon dessert (can't remember the name) which was recommended by our waiter, and it was divine. Alright, I'm 7months since My last review of this spot and nothing has changed. I showed up here my first night in ABQ like a tumbleweed in the wind needing a meal. 7 months later and I still come here multiple times a week. It's my home away from home. This is just barely a 3 star review. I had a craving for calamari. It was listed with the appetizers. I asked our waitress if it was really good. She said she liked it and had some recently. (I'd have been surprised if she said it wasn't). So our party of four placed our orders (nothing written down by our server). I added a side of polenta. The couple we were with got their order wrong...a ten minute delay for them. My calamari was luke warm and oily/soggy. Oh, I almost forgot. Our waitress asked if we wanted some bread and dipping oil to start, and we did. I wondered if it was complimentary...it wasn't. Oil was in a small bowl along with the bread. Four plates stacked in the middle of the table, we each poured oil into our dishes (no self-serving spoon). I thought to myself "Where's the herbs?". I took the last bit of oil... everything settled to the bottom. I got oil with herbs the others got oil sans herb seasoning. Not a huge deal but attention to detail was lacking here and not by us.
