Came here on a Wednesday at a recommendation of a friend from Redlands. Service was average. Waited a while to put in a food order. After the food was dropped, no one came by to ask how things were or if we wanted more drinks. Got the Kapow Chicken, which was listed as the most spicy thing on the menu. It wasn't particularly spicy, nor did it have much for flavor. The plate was lots of chicken, and very few veggies or rice. Could have just been the day we came. I am gluten-free and vegetarian, along with other dietary needs, and I was so happy with the tofu pad thai. Often times, I get sick from pad thai due to unusual ingredients added, but I was perfectly fine after this meal and it was seriously so delicious! The service was great. The food here is delicious. I got the Pad Ki Mao and it was delicious. However, we came and made a reservation and they didn't take us until a half hour after our reservation. We asked the person who appeared to be the manager and they were quite dismissive of us. The wait would have been fine if not for this. Not only dis we wait for the table, but we also waited for our food about another 45 minutes. This was towards the end of the night and there were not many people there. This Thai restaurant have been downhill Since the last time I was here, the food was not good I order pad Thai to sweet and it came without peanuts The Chicken rice was very bland not flavor When I ask for the peanuts the owner told me that they don't put the peanuts on the plate anymore for the allergies I do understand it but waiter should ask me if I want the peanuts or not. I went to Mu today with my sister and BFF. It's the 1st place I've been since the COVID19 pandemic & they're letting people sit down inside and eat. Let me start off by saying I'm not a fan of Thai food really, but they wanted to go there so we went. My sister convinced me to get the yellow curry, said I'd like it, that I did not. But the pad Thai & the fried rice I did. I had orange chicken once here before for take out and that was okay. But don't get if you're used to the taste of "normal" Chinese version of orange chicken. I also got the chicken and rice soup before the meal that was really good. It's not the best thing to have on a 99 degree day but it came with it and I don't regret it still because that was really good. All around a good place. They are keeping people socially distant from each other & the waiter was really nice. Only thing I was really skeptical about is that no one including staff was wearing face mask & they are using cups without straws. Also, a couple was sitting at a table 6 feet behind us and when they left... they didn't wipe down the table before sitting the next guests there! That alone took off one star for me because that's a normal thing you're suppose to do before the pandemic and it should really be enforced now. Came to Mu on a Saturday night around 7:30pm, though that wasn't the initial plan. We drove around for about 10 mins trying to find parking so we could go into the Mexican restaurant next to the Krikorian theathers for a margarita. The Justin Bieber movie must have just come out because there was a line for the theater down the block and nowhere to park. Drove a couple blocks down from the movie theater and stumbled upon Mu. Headed into the bar and sat down, waited for the waiter to help us. We waited several long minutes before anyone said anything to us, and it's a small bar. No one came by to clean the napkins, straws and glasses left by the last patrons at our table for about 5 mins either. The bartender did come over finally and extremely tersely asked what we wanted. Zero people skills were shown to us. But, to counter that, the drinks were very good and strong. Seeing that Mu's restaurant had a good number of stars on Yelp, we opted then to go across their courtyard, into the restaurant and have dinner. Service was much better there. We started with the spicy tuna appetizer and it was amazing! Very artfully presented on a long, rectangular dish. The fish came in cubes, next to that was a generous portion of seaweed salad, and at the end, a small ramikin of soy sauce. Fish = extremely fresh. Seaweed salad = nice touch. My husband ordered the Ko See Mee with chicken for his entree, which he raved about. I ordered Thai vegetables (spicy) with tofu. This came out bland and not exciting at all. Thank goodness I held onto the container of soy sauce from the appetizer. So, Mu, I'll visit you again, especially for your cocktails, maybe for dinner and will surely order something completely different next time. read more

This place has got to be one of the best restaurants in Redlands (that I've tried). We often celebrate birthdays here when we pass through the "Orange Curtain" to visit family. Mu is great for carnivores and vegetarians alike. The service is top notch; the food is supremely tasty and fresh. Our favs include the Vegetarian Spring Rolls, Lettuce Cups, Crab Cakes, Seared Tuna Salad, Pad Tha and Chicken Fried Rice. The ambiance is really laid-back (refreshing!). We went here last night for a date night (after an extended quarantine). There were a few patrons, but it was quiet, and they have applied social distancing. I love that their menus are concise and straightforward. We ordered Pad won sen with alternative meat (they accommodate for Vegan and Vegetarian diets). We also got Salmon in garlic and basil sauce. We have Thai ice tea and some drinks. It was a simple meal but the way the chef cooked the salmon was excellent. It was buttery, and the fish smell of salmon was not evident. The noodle was savory and not overpowering. I love it! Something simple made elegantly and tasted homey. I will come back. Mu does have a nice modern ambiance touch to it. They do have a full bar and that is a plus in asian restaurants. Most of them have good food but does not serve drinks. I love their bar area. Best service I have ever had. We came in thinking we had an hour and a half left of their time, but accidentally only had one hour. Luckily their food came out quick, and even when the time was counting down, our server (which we believed to be the owner) was the sweetest/most helpful person I'd ever been served by. He kept giving us refills and asking if we needed anything. Absolutely no rush. Not to mention he was really funny. Great service! But the five stars is of course in part of the food. I'm a regular at Mu and love all their Thai food, especially their pad Thai noodles! All the food I've tried, which is almost the whole menu, is very flavorful and delicious! The only negative is when they are very busy, the servers take a little longer to take your order or serve you, however, my overall experience has been excellent! We decided to try this restaurant last minute on a Wednesday night for a birthday dinner . They were able to seat us right away. I had a Mai Tai which was very tasty and strong. Been here on and off for 10+ years. The food has been consistently good but the food is a bit overpriced compared to other Thai places in the area. Most recently went for my dad's birthday. I thought the Pad See Yu was too sweet for my taste but he Pad Kee Mow was really good. My new favorite there. The beef and chicken Krapow are also very good, but make sure you order Thai style. Otherwise not as good. The Pad Thai was decent. My wife really likes the Green Curry there, not for me though. A bit overpriced as mentioned before but it is in Redlands and the ambiance is nice. There is a private parking lot in the back, but I usually park on the street in the front as there is usually space there. Being Vegan and dairy free they were more than on top of their game to accommodate me. Alright folks, just moved to Radlands..ooops did I say RADlands? I meant Redlands. *subtle carcastic smirk* The first Thai restaurant I ate at is Mu. This ironically named restaurant (Mu means pig but is the sound that cows make - all my Thai brothers and sisters please chime in if I'm wrong) was the first of many in this area. A random haughty Friday night party goer directed me here because they are dog friendly. So I took my beloved Leonidas there for dinner. Seriously, they LOVE dogs. From what I heard the owner is a dog lover. They treated us well. As usual I had the papaya salad which was really good. Had really good flavor and the shrimp was nice. I believe three BIG shrimp grilled and layed over a bed of scrumptously delicious, crunchy, refreshing shreaded green papaya in perfectly long and slender juliennes. Spicy, citrusy, and acidic in nature, it starts your mouth watering and appetite running. Another great dish is Pad See Ew. It was not too oily as some are and had a nice sweetness to the noodles. This dish is one of my favorites. It comprises of flat rice noodles sauteed in a sweet and salty sauces usually accompanied with your choice of meat and broccoli. My only gripe is I prefer chinese broccoli (gai lan) as opposed to the regular kind we all know. The chinese broccoli brings a better texture as it's crunchy when not over cooked and it gives a slight earthy bitterness to it that is preferred by the adult palate. The tom yum goong soup tasted good again it would have been better if they used straw mushrooms. 3.5 stars for the food and 1 for the dog treatment. read more

Cute little Thai restaurant found in the middle of Downtown Redlands. PERFECT for a date! There were actually quite a few people dining there, but thankfully it wasn't too crowded that we had to wait. From the outside, the restaurant looks like a small house, but when you walk in the decor and ambiance is totally unexpected (in a good way)! Nicely decorated and has a very cozy, romantic feel for it which you usually don't find in your typical Thai food restaurant. Now onto the food. We ordered the pad thai and the spring rolls (appetizer). The pad thai was good, the noodles were chewy, meat was incredibly tender, and the sauce really gave it that authentic Thai food feel. The spring rolls were HUGE though. It came with a sweet & sour sauce and a peanut sauce. I really liked their peanut sauce and wanted to take some home with me... Overall, I think this place is great for a date night and/or to satisfy that Thai food craving. Will be back soon! read more

Food was good, service was very poor. My daughters waited over 40 minutes for their pre-dinner cocktail to arrive. When I asked the waiter his response was "do you still want the drinks." I guess I expected a different response, his attitude showed me he could careless. After another 5 minutes my son-in-law went up to the bar and got the drinks himself. My experience with Mu started very rocky--it took a very long time to get our drink orders, to get menus, to order appetizers, and to order food. I was frustrated that we chose this Thai restaurant and not the restaurant we usually go to because of the service, or lack of service. When we finally got our food, man were impressed. We ordered chicken satay and a a couple of orders of egg/spring rolls for appetizers and for our dinner, we had pad see ewe beef and chicken, chicken and shrimp fried rice, yum woon sen, halibut tacos, and tallow curry (we were a big hangry group). For dessert, we had the sticky rice with mango. everything was delicious. The lack of service was compensated by the food; so much so that I would rate Mu in my top two for best Thai restaurants!! I wish I could give this restaurant five stars and hope that management reads this and realizes that good, efficient service does matter.
