    Chips and Salsa

We went to Muchacho for the first time in June 2026, having been told about this place a while back. Sleeping on that suggestion made us feel like morons after coming here. Dakota took great care of us the minute we were seated. His attention, professionalism, and friendliness makes him stand out in the service industry. He told us before we even ordered that we would be back and that we could ask for him in the future. He was right. We will be back and we will ask for him. The food was incredible. Chips with two delicious salsas came out first. The green tomatillo salsa was our fave, but the red also delivered. We split an order of delicious empanadas for a starter. The hearty empanada shell contained a surprisingly tender picadillo enhanced by avocado and some crema. Hands down delicious. For our main, we spilt the octopus fajitas. These were extraordinary. The meat was tender and perfectly marinated, not chewy or rubbery at all. The tortillas were made in house and also not too thick or heavy. I recommend having the octopus as close to Spanish style as you can with just the grilled onions and peppers in the taco you make. No cheddar cheese or sour cream, please. The menu read like a treasure chest of Mexican food and we will be back, providing Dakota is working and able to have us over for dinner. Thank you, Muchacho for an excellent first experience.

Great service! Love the inside...tons of different seating. We sat on the covered porch that was enclosed, not too hot and did get some a/c. It was nice as it wasn't freezing like most places in TX when it's hot, which is most of the time. Large selection of drinks! Get the empanadas! They are very flaky and tasty. I had the redfish tacos with slaw on it. There are 3 good sized tacos with the slaw on top. It's light slaw so it's not overpowering. Would come back again!!

Great spot for great food and beverages. Service was awesome even though it was quite busy. Western ambience. Tomatillo salsa and chips very addictive. Suadero Tacos were delicious with smoky flavors. Margaritas also tasty.

Came here on a rainy Saturday evening and was able to find parking close by. We put our names down at 7:08 and were told a 45-minute wait, but we almost left and ended up staying, our table was ready in 8 minutes. That's a pretty big difference, and I feel like giving such a wide estimate can lose them customers. We were seated in their outdoor covered area and Dakota was our server. He was great and really made the dining experience better. He gave solid recommendations on food and timing for ordering. We started with chips and two types of salsa , classic tomato and a verde. Both were flavorful. The chips tasted fresh with big pieces, though some were saltier than others. For food, we got the classic queso to start, then cheese enchiladas with mole sauce (no onions) and chile con carne enchiladas. The mole was really flavorful, refried beans were good, and the rice was fluffy. I didn't have a drink, but the house margarita on the rocks and grapefruit margarita were both enjoyed, I tried a sip of each and they were strong. Overall, I'm glad to have found a solid Tex-Mex option in the area. Southlake Town Center is also nice to walk around before or after dinner.

We had a wonderful time at Muchacho Southlake, a cozy spot inside the Town Square area. Highly suggest getting reservations; they have a limit of 6 but will make exceptions, as they did for us. A lively crowd--this wasn't a quiet spot, more a night-on-the-town vibe, plenty of folks having a good meal and time. The food was fabulous, and everyone enjoyed their meal. The service by Ryan was attentive & surprisingly quick. I had the Cornmeal Redfish tacos with the pickled slaw on homemade tortillas, all very good. Others had pork shank, fajitas, chili relleno with rice and beans, and they all loved it. The standouts were the Mexican rice and Old Fashioned; both were as good as I've had anywhere. The rice, just like Abuela would serve you. After the meal, Paul the owner came and checked on us. Really nice touch to finish off the night. We passed on dessert, a group choice, certainly not mine.

Food is always good, I typically order fajitas or mole enchiladas. I also highly recommend their green pozole. Recently tried their shrimp tacos, and they were okay but I prefer their steak fajitas and tacos. I was also not a fan of their brisket sopes, a bit too much masa for my preference. My sister has a food allergy and every server we've had is always super accommodating and takes time to ask kitchen staff about any dish she's interested in having. The atmosphere is noisy, but in a nice way. Super chatty and good music. We come a few times a month and we're never disappointed!

    AHI TUNA TAQUITOS

We tried Muchacho's tonight and it was really good! The wait to get in was about 45 minutes, but it was definitely worth it. I had the Ahi Tuna Taquitos and these things were small but mighty! They were seriously the tiniest little tacos, but they delicious. I would absolutely order them again as my meal because they were that good. The sauce that came with them was amazing and really tied everything together. My husband ordered the Suadero tacos and they were delicious too. The flour tortillas were on point, the brisket was cooked perfectly, and everything inside worked really well together. The borracho beans on the side were also great. We lucked out with a beautiful Texas spring evening and got seats on the patio, which we really enjoyed. It's a cute patio with super comfortable chairs, and it's a great spot to watch the passerby's. Service started a little slow, but once we ordered the food came out quickly and everything tasted so delicious. Another Saturday night trying somewhere new and this is definitely one we'll go back to!

We really just came here for a margarita and some nachos. What a surprise to us when the nachos were only five chips. That was sad. Margarita was good. But I was very surprised by how much they had gone up in just the last couple of years.

Service attentive but not overbearing, atmosphere, location, and ambiance is totally Texan and modern at the same time. Restaurant is a corner piece in a trendy snd upscale shopping center in Southlake Texas. They have a lovely patio when the whether is nice enough to open it up too. Try a spicy margarita or a cold beer. If your a wine lover they dont leave you out either. I suggest the pork belly fajitas or the shrimp tacos, but any protein and meat from Muchachos is grilled well and flavorful while letting the meat taste shine through. Do NOT LEAVE without their famous Tres Leches cake. Trust me. You will NOT be sorry. With lots of options in Southlake, Muchachos is a staple and local favorite for intimate dinners or large parties.

Wife and myself came here on a Sunday to meet up with my son and his gf. Got the table no problem to try out their lunch. The 2 things I have to say is their location is perfect in the middle of southlake. But hard to find parking on street, but garage is only a block away. And their service by our waitress was one of the best in some time. As far as food goes, the prices is a tad higher than average Mexican restaurant we've had, so I automatically had a higher expectation. There's really nothing bad on any of the food, other than the portion and lack of anything distinctive to say I can't wait to come back again. We've all ordered something different, but I got the combination to try out different things. The beans weren't bad, but the rice was dried and bland. Other enchiladas and others were just ok. Again, the service by out waitress is very professional, and the manager also walked around to greet each table, which was a nice touch. But even with the great location (used to be snuffer) and service, 3 stars is about the max I can described this experience.

Muchacho is great simple and low budget lunch dinner option in Toyota Music Factory area. They have great patio and serve so amazing drinks. The place serves some amazing tacos like Al pastor ,Birria. The consome is amazing. You can order individual tacos or plates of 3-4 with side of rice and beans. They have shareable apps like chips and queso or nachos as well. The food comes fast and they offer different salsas. You have love spicy you have to try their hot salsas it will knock you out. The food is fresh and casual. The service is excellent The place is no frills and very fast food style

Muchacho is our favorite place. Best margs, food, service, and environment. We went on a Friday night to celebrate my birthday and it was packed! You definitely need a reservation for busy days/times and you'll have no problem. We ordered our drinks and I'm not kidding they were at our table 3 minutes later. Steak and shrimp fajitas are 10/10. Our server was great and attentive! To top it all off they gave me a signed birthday card from the staff and flan. I would always recommend Muchachos!!!

West Coaster Panini - (Smoked ham, smashed avocado, arugula, roasted garlic aioli, pickled red onion, Calabrian chili, feta cheese. For my side, I chose the tomato soup, my goodness, was it good. I must say, it is the best tomato soup, I've ever had. It was creamy, packed with flavor, and complimented my panini so well. Also, they add cheese tortellinis to the soup as well. So, good! This was very delicious, the ham stood out and wasn't muted. However, I think I will get another bread next time. I chose the focaccia, it was a bit too much bread for that particular sandwich. I will admit, it doesn't beat their prosciutto and brie panini; that sandwich is divine. Hot Donut Dots - (House made ricotta donut holes with salted butter chocolate, caramel and vanilla glaze dipping sauces.) These are superb and packs a lot in one bite. The cream in the middle is so smooth and full of flavor, but is very heavy. I'm not a cookies and milk person, but this dessert craves a tall glass of milk. They were hot, fresh, and I appreciate the fact that even when fried, they were not swimming in grease. The vanilla dipping sauce was my go-to, of the three sauces. They did well with this dessert, it hit all of the bases. Postino's is a great place to visit with friends, a date, or even as a solo-day/night out. They are one of my top 5 restaurants and I don't see that changing, ever!

We had a few questions about the menu, but her answers were vague, and she literally walked away while responding. If you hate your job that much, why are you even here? Food: 3/5 The salad was overly drenched in dressing. The pizza was mid at best. The heart shaped pizza definitely wasn't worth the extra cost...but hey, anything for a photo right? No real wow factor. The drinks, though, were solid...especially the espresso martini tower! Ambiance: 4/5 Very girly and cute...perfect for Valentine's vibes. Just wish there were more photo ops. Overall... mehhhh. I'd probably only come back for the drinks, and that's about it.

Moving to Texas a while back, a friend said "never underestimate a restaurant in a strip mall"…read more Craftway Kitchen in Southlake isn't exactly in a strip mall, but in the outlot of a few big box retailers. We've driven past Craftway Kitchen more than a few times, always intrigued with a 'we have to try that place sometime'. Saturday night was sometime. Taking our chances as a party of three walk in's, the restaurant was full inside, and there were a few tables open on the patio. I generally don't like to eat on patios, because flies show up, etc. Not at Craftway... not sure what they were doing, but there wasn't a fly or other flying bug around. The patio wasn't just clean, it was meticulous. Welcoming too - It felt very much like an extension of the restaurant. Alex, our waiter was quick to bring water and menus. Returning to take drink orders, a margarita was ordered as was a glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. Drinks were quickly served. Water was never allowed to become empty. Alex asked if we had ever been to Craftway, we informed him this was our first visit. His ask "any allergies?" to which we said no. He disappeared, returning with an appetizer sampling plate with three items - the Reuben egg rolls, crab stuffed mushrooms, and blue cheese chips. All were fantastic! Three entrees ordered, the Chicken & Fig sandwich, Chicken Milanese and the Cajun pasta with Chicken. Food arrived; each entree was fantastic. Cooked to perfection, flavors were amazing. Dessert, shared, was a bread pudding with ice cream, a perfect finish. Alex never let beverages become empty, delivered superb service. The Chef circulated the room checking on satisfaction and chatting with patrons. Giving Craftway Kitchen a very well deserved 5-star rating. The staff did everything right! Departing, we talked about what we will order next time. We will be back to Craftway Kitchen!

Most of the starers are mouthwatering, even the unexpected Ruben Eggrolls are a delight. Less daring items like the coconut shrimp are equally good. Without a doubt my go to entree is the Beef Wellington. I remember La Madeleine had an affordable one on their menu in the late nineties, this is reminiscent. I do usually swap out the mashed potatoes for the chopped wedge as side, just seems like the classical steakhouse side for the task. The only thing I would say that is lacking is the wine list, despite being very fairly priced. Their most bespoke bottle of red is the Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon (2021), which while amazing for the $99.99 they charged, it was fairly flat, lacking the traditional vanilla perfume you'd expect from a pricey California Cabernet Sauvignon. Also took a bottle of GH Mumm Grand Cordon, which also did not taste as anticipated. I think the most plausible explanation might be heat damage, as both wines are usually well regarded but came up short.

It definitely blows typical bar food out of the water; it's evident that the owners have restaurant and service industry experience because every little detail has been thought of. They even make their sauces in house!! The juicy thick hotdog - could not get enough. The parmesan French fries - devoured. The tasty, cheesy burger rivaled any other gourmet burger joint. The place is a great time for people of all ages. There's plenty of seating. The sports are playing, and they encourage people to socialize, chat, and play games. What's better than cold drinks, great food, and fun times with friends? My friends and I will definitely be back!

They do let you know that there is an automatic 20% tip added to your tab up front, which you can add too if checking out using the link they text you. The special thing is they have a wall where you pick your own beer, cider and wine(?) that you activate with your wristband and are charged per ounce. I love the drink concept because it allows for folks to try a little bit of various options ... which they do have a number of local options on their wall. This is what I would return for, and bring friends to tet before we end up at another activity. Food wise: got a smash burger which came with fries, which if I order it again I'd probably change cheeses and ask for some pepper to season the fries a bit more ... all personal preferences... but was ok for something to eat to off set the two drinks I had while there. I also got some tacos to go for my husband. Again personal preference, he would have liked more seasoning/spice on the actual meat of the taco vs being as reliant on the salsa. So, on our next visit we might just stick with shareables/apps with our drinks.
