This used to be our favorite place- however recently new staff has shown to be a disappointment. Currently waiting (going on 30 min now) to get our food in what I would consider a short line. The six staff members are taking turns on breaks and can't seem to handle the few orders coming through. Thought this would be faster than a sit down restaurant and it's not. Mucho gusto is easily the best burrito in town! It isn't even close. They have the freshest ingredients and the most courteous service I've ever had. I love this place! I stood in line to order my burrito and had to tell the person behind the counter I wanted chicken three times. If you're not going to listen to the customer, why ask them what they want? The customer behind me laughed because it was so ridiculous I had to repeat my order so many times. For those who know the food here, it's usually pretty wet. Burritos drip like crazy and are messy. They give you one napkin on the tray, which isn't enough. They hide the napkins behind the register because for some reason, they feel customers can't be trusted to grab their own. So I ask for more napkins from a worker and she said, "time for a new year's resolution for you - learn how to use fewer napkins." Pretty rude to hand out wet burritos and then chastise customers for needing another napkin. In addition, it's hypocritical to be "eco-conscious" with napkins all while handing out disposable plastic cups for all drinks and water. I'll be going to Chipotle more often. Their burritos aren't dripping wet and they make napkins freely available without the eco-lecture. It's a shame because this place is locally owned and the food is good, but the service should be far better and it shouldn't take an act of congress to get more napkins. read more

Happened upon Mucho Gusto while passing through Eugene on our way camping. So nice we're from LA, we need our Mexican food "fix" fairly often, and Oregon isn't known for it's Mexican cuisine. That said, Mucho Gusto is actually really good. It's like a good Chipotle!! We were really pleased with our food. Everything was fresh and tasty. I had a burrito bowl and it was great! My wife liked (whatever the heck she got) as well. It's in a shopping center, and you pick your ingredients, so it really does "feel" like Chipotle, but since Chipotle is bad, and Mucho Gusto is good, that's where the similarities stop. I've been coming here for years and always get the sane thine. Cod Burrito. The ingredients are still fresh and tastes fine. But something is different and I can't quite put my finger on it. And of course they've jacked up the price. Not as good as it use to be but still better then most of the others. However I did get a long hair in my food. Yuck. So delicious - hands down some of the best Mexican food in Eugene. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. You can order a variety of meats to put on your creation, including fish, which is absolutely ah-mazing. I haven't had any issues with the employees, but they can be kind of snippy with the customers. The lines are usually long, so I generally attribute this to that factor. This place is NOT Mexican. At best, it's some sort of honkified Tex-Mex - better than Taco Bell, Taco Time, and Baja Fresh (all of which are gross), but inferior to literally every other Mexican or so-called Mexican place in town. If you want a quick, predictable bite to eat and you wouldn't know a decent chile verde if it bit you in your lily white ass, maybe Mucho Gusto will be your kind of place. If you have any taste at all, though, you won't like MG; it serves the sort of "Mexican" food I would expect to find at Denny's, if I ever ate at Denny's. A well-meaning friend got a free gift-certificate from Mucho Gusto and took a couple of us to lunch there. It was agreeable in the sense that I enjoyed the company of two wonderful people and nobody got sick and died or anything. Still, I could make a better burrito by opening cans of stuff I bought at Safeway - it was that bland and uninteresting. Don't go here. Go eat at a real Mexican place instead. They are all better than Mucho Gusto, which really ought to be renamed Poquito Gusto. read more

The times I've ate here it hasn't been bad. Yet, when you go out and want a big ol' burrito, I wouldn't exactly head here first. Anyone else ever notice how they ask what type of "protein" you want? WTF? Almost like they launched business during some major diet movement or sumpin. This food is very americanized. I love the tofu protein option. The employees are super friendly. There always seems to be a line no matter what time I come in, but the line does move fast. I like how simple the menu is. The grande salad with tofu and extra veggies, mango salsa is my favorite. $8.99 for a huge bowl of deliciousness. It's a great take-out option. read more

This is by far the best build-it-burrito style place I have ever been to. Very fresh ingredients and by far the best salsa for a build-it-burrito place as well (try the green and the hot!) They have whole wheat options for both burritos and taco salad bowls (which taste fantastic too, I might add) and AMAZING tofu that you can get for your protein (enough about the silly sofritas people, this is way better!) The atmosphere really sets it a part as well. The people making your burrito and the kind of folks you would want to hang out with, very friendly and fun. More than once one of them has given me a hard time about something and made me laugh. When you leave a tip, they ring a bell and everyone on the food line yells "Gracias!" Try the Mucho Dippo (enough for two people and endless chips) This is a very easy suggestions for me to give when people are in town and asking where to go. After hours of studying at the library, my roommate and I decided to try this place out for the first time. Unfortunately, my roommate had cilantro in her dish and had to pick it all out. Need a burrito... Need it fast... Well after waiting in a long line as usual. Then Mucho Gusto is great. The only thing I don't like about mucho gusto is the parking in front of the restaurant, because it can get a bit tight to get in and out. So I suggest you park a bit away in the complex else where. But not to the restaurant... If I am in the mood for burritos and I am out and about near here it is my place to go for a refuel for my sustenance pouch. There is always a bit of a line that stretches from the counter to the door, but once you reach the food line you are greeted and there the quick barrage of choices you have to make begin. This is the part that sometimes isn't the best experience because it feels extremely rushed and sometimes in that rush they aren't neat and sometimes things aren't drained properly and at the end you are left with a runny and soggy burrito. But after all said and done it is a nice place to go and I love the warm chips they give you when paying. read more

Yum, yum, yum! I've only visited this place once as I was just passing through Eugene on a road trip, but it was really great! It can be hard to find something healthy and still filling, especially when roadtripping! Mucho Gusto totally met my needs. I got a good meal, didn't feel nasty and overly full (much like fast food joints can do...), and the price was right. Even though the only item I have had off the menu is the tostada, I definitely recommend it. It's a perfect size, and you can top it with numerous fresh ingredients! I did see someone ordering a burrito, and it was massive! I guess Mucho Gusto can satisfy all appetites! The people working there were very friendly and efficient. We got our food quickly, and there was just a positive spirit about the place. I totally recommend it. Although I wouldn't necessarily consider Mucho Gusto authentic Mexican food - for what it is, it's pretty delicious. It took me a few tries going there to find what I really liked and once I found it, I learned to appreciate Mucho Gusto. Typically I order some sort of burrito, but I had never gotten it with Carnitas before. Their Carnitas is delicious. That and black beans were a staple in my burritos - I would switch it up with my other options, but those two remained consistent. The set-up is similar to a Chiptole and the food is probably healthy - maybe not the portion. The burrito that they make are about the size of your head...they're pretty big. I think Mucho Gusto beats out Burritos Amigos and Burrito Boy, but I think all three lack authentic Mexican food... read more

One of my favorite places in Eugene! This place has fresh ingredients, a wonderful staff (so friendly!), and cold beer! I love everything on the menu, and the cost is CHEAP! Talk about affordable! Mucho Gusto puts Baja Fresh to shame! Mucho Gusto has a great patio for the nice weather. There is nothing better than digging into your food on a warm day outside! Just tried Mucho Gusto last night and I just loved it! I'd say it's about 10 times better than Chipotle. They have normal Tex Mex rice and the ingredients are as fresh as can be. The tomatillo-chili salsa is fantastic. I had a beef tostada that was heaping and made to order of course. My husband has two soft tacos with carnitas (pork). The tacos are extra juicy so they give you extra corn tortillas. He was very pleased that the tortillas were corn instead of the normal flour ones you get everywhere. We will definitely be eating at Mucho Gusto again. Also the price was quite affordable. read more

However, I do not dig my food artist assuming that because I am fat I am ordering a salad, and if I am ordering a salad, I do not dig my food artist assuming that because I am fat I do not want a deep fried taco shell.
