Before I even came here, I was recommended by three people to try their fish taco. When I arrived there was some art wall, a salsa bar, and black and white photos. We were in town visiting family and needed a quick takeout order to take back to our rental. I had heard my sister mention this restaurant at times so thought we would try it. Ordering online for pick up was easy until it came time to enter the credit card. Their system wouldn't verify the card without an error message, but same card went through when we switched to PayPal. Order tracking was great and order was available for pick up prior to the estimated time. I ordered the Taco Salad with chicken and my husband ordered the Mucho(?) Burrito with chicken. Both portions were HUGE!!!! I forgot to take a pic of my husband's order but did capture my order. I love taco salads served in the crispy shell and this did not disappoint. It was perfectly fried and not greasy. Chicken chunks were seasoned well and grilled veggies were fresh. I did not care for the addition of zucchini and yellow squash so I picked those off. I probably would have eaten them if they had been sliced much thinner, but they were bigger chunks. The rice, guacamole, lettuce and sour cream were all fresh and tasted great. I could eat only about 1/3 of the salad -it was that BIG! My husband enjoyed his burrito and even though he's a big guy with a healthy appetite, he also could not eat his entire burrito- first time I've ever seen that in our 30+ years of marriage!;) we did order a side of the rice but neither of us tried it because we had so much food with our main dish. I'm deducting one star because although we did receive fresh chips with our order but no salsa, so those didn't get eaten and the use of zucchini and squash in a taco salad-never saw that before.:( we likely would order again, but will probably decide on a main dish to share and double check that we have salsa with the chips if we do takeout. read more

So beautiful on the plate that I almost didn't want to dig into it. Fresh, unique flavors and it was absolutely HUGE. Enough for two to share or two meals for one person, I took half home in a box for dinner. The chips are fresh, very light and crispy. Not greasy at all so I convinced myself that they are healthy and ate a bunch. Free parking right in front or next door or next door in the free public parking lot. My second visit (and third visit, and fourth visit- why lie?) I tried the Mucho Nachos with tofu. Amazing HUGE nacho platter with most excellent tofu all melted together. Wow. I was literally speechless when I saw this amazingly huge serving of nachos served in a pizza box. During a recent business trip, I stopped at Mucho Mas! for dinner. I was pleased with the homemade tortilla chips and three varieties of salsa available. My steak burrito was delicious, and I would definitely order it again. My one criticism of the place is its lack of ambiance. More or less, there are just tables and chairs. No art or color to speak of other than the few colors of chalk used to write the menu on the wall. A few decorations and perhaps a different choice of music (90s grunge and alternative rock during my visit) could take this restaurant to the next level. Here's the bottom line: My food was excellent, and the price was appropriate for a downtown location. I paid around $15 for a burrito, extra chips (because I didn't realize my meal came with them), and a drink. read more

The service was fast and efficient. The table, flatware, silverware...all clean. I had the eggs and chorizo which was so good. Sorry I spaced and totally forgot to take pics of the food. This is a place that I would totally expect to find back home in Chicagoland, so it was an extra special treat to find it in rural Indiana. Very cool place. Great atmosphere, service, and food. We were picking strawberries at Garwood Orchards, eating donuts and baking in the sun when simultaneously we decided-- WE NEED MEXICAN FOOD. I quickly Yelped "Mexican" thinking, no way is there gonna be good Mexican food out here. Surprisingly there was a highly rated place not too far away so we headed over. When we entered it was almost empty, and we really didn't know what to expect. The menu was pretty expensive though and prices were reasonable. I ordered a taco platter. There's a salsa bar that has different salsas, cilantro, onions, limes, pickled veggies... I was about to order a basket of chips when... BAM. Portions are HUGE. Nevermind chips, I don't even know if I can finish what I ordered. Food is GREAT. If this place existed in Chicago, I would go every other day. Tex Mex with great service. Highly recommend the Black Bean Soup. My faves are the nachos and the Stacked Enchilada. I always order vegetarian so I can only speak to that. Wow, I have to say, so far this is my favourite spots to eat in Laporte. I really love to see creative people bring their talents to how they prepare food. I love nothing more than traditional Mexican cuisine, however when you take something traditional and add an artistic flair to it, you get food like the food at Mucho Mas. The restaurant is a sit down down, but you order your food first. The nachos are very very good, and they have a station where you can get different sauces and salsa for your nachos. I tried the black bean soup, although thick and heavy for a summer dish it was very good, and filling. I ordered three different tacos as the funny girl behind the counter suggested. My three were pork, beef and chicken tacos in three different styles. All were exceptional, and my plate also came with beans and rice. You won't go hungry at Mucho Mas!! Let's just start with the dip shit that worked the counter. Don't know his name. But he was not friendly and had a horrible mustache. Bathrooms are a joke. They smell like the devil himself pinched off a fat loaf. The salsa/sauce station was a joke. Fruit flys everywhere. The fountain pop has that nasty gas station taste to it. Except the XXX vitamin water. That was great. There's your one star. The food doesn't live up to the hype. Better that Colima's. But doesn't compare to anything super authentic. Also. This place is good if you want to grab something quick and also if you would like to sit down and eat with the family. I love the barbecue chicken pizza , slap some jalapeños on it! Happened to be in the Laporte area and found this location on yelp. We read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Parking was available on the street with easy access to get inside. The menu was overwhelming and hard to read for first time customers, but customers in line were not shy about making recommendations to help us decide. Maybe they had printed menus but I did not see any to review while standing in line. 3 of us had lunch -one of us had the Shrimp burrito, chicken fajita plate and I had the chicken fajita bowl with a side of chips and guacamole. My bowl was full of a variety of grilled veggies including zucchini, sour cream, rice, black beans and guacamole. I even received 3 corn tortillas which were delicious. Temperature of food was good. I read on their sign their chips are endless which is a plus. We enjoyed 2 baskets of their homemade tortilla chips which were tasty not too salty and warm. They have a salsa bar with a variety of choices including limes. We all enjoyed our meals and the portion sizes were more than enough for the price. My girlfriend and I were in town and went by to get some dinner before going out to New Buffalo and decided to swing by here because of how good the reviews were. We were sadly disappointed by this place unfortunately. I'm not one to write reviews often but this was so poor that i felt it was warranted. We each got a 3 taco plate and they mixed up the ingredients we each wanted. Also put cheese on things when we both specifically requested no cheese. But we are used to that happening so we scraped through but unfortunately the chicken tacos were cold, and with very little taste. Steak tacos, which cost more were actually inedible. The steak was rubbery and hard in some spots. I really hate writing these types of reviews but when your order is not only messed up but inedible. I don't know about you but I really want to be able to eat the food I order. So disappointing. read more
