All said and done, nothing to get excited about. We'll probably never be back. Overpriced, not great food. Save your money and go someplace else.

Price was also a bit high for what I actually received. Next time I am in the area, I probably would try Chocolate Factory for nostalgia's sake as I haven't had it since they left the Prospect Mall forever ago! You could certainly do worse than Creamy Pig, but I suspect you could also do better.

The Chai Latte was excellent, as was the Harvest Chai (an ice cream drink). The Chicken Salad Croissant was also very good -- fresh, with a good amount of chicken and not too much mayonnaise. The new interior is more modern with more of a cabin feel, which is quite a bit different, if you look around you can still see some of the artistic elements from before like the steel people around ice cream cones. The food itself was as I remembered it - no notable change there (not that it needed any changes, haha). Outside, the drive through has 2 lanes that merge into one. Parking is pretty similar, nothing I noticed to stand out as different. The seating area does feel updated, I can't recall there being much seating outside before (or it didn't imprint to my memory), so what's there now definitely stood out in a good way. This is the third time that we've got burgers at Hefner's. A single cheese with everything. A very good burger with very good toppings. The bun is away fresh, but, with a single burger, it's a little too much bun from my perspective. (3 1/2 stars). Next time I'll try one of Hefner's specialty burgers. I especially like Hefner's custard and shakes. (4 1/2 stars) For me, it's always the flavor of the day or vanilla. I love the vibe of this place, and while there, it's fun to drop some quarters in the pinball machines and play a few games. Takes me back to a simpler time, before video games. I also love that Hefner's employs mostly teenagers. It seems like a great place to work and develop teenage friendships. Probably the first job for many of these kids. Hefner's recently installed a Toast Point of Sale system. The teenagers will love this new POS as it will help generate more tips. Hefner's is a great local place to hang out; get some pretty good food that is reasonably priced. It's fun. Let's continue to give them our support as a local landmark.
