This is a cute restaurant sitting on the golf course in sun city, which is a retirement community. People of all ages can visit the restaurant, yet most are from the surrounding community. Our waitress was incredibly sweet. We arrived at 7pm and were glad we ate quickly and finished by 8pm when they closed because the restaurant cleared out quickly. I ordered the mulligan burger, which came with avocados and a fried egg. Zero complaints from me. They also have a full bar with quite a few beers on tap. read more

Mulligan's Restaurant is fantastic and second-to-none for service, food, and ambiance. I enjoy eating there with the men's group from our church on Saturday, and my wife goes to breakfast with ladies in our neighborhood and she's there right now. Mulligan's offers a very good menu where you can surely find something that you will enjoy. The servers are are courteous and friendly! The prices are reasonable for all of the items on the menu. When ordering food at Mulligan's, it is an adventure because one never knows that will occur or be served. We order take out. We have learned over the years to check the containers prior to departing the restaurant to ensure order is correct. One time we found 2 servings of mashed potatoes instead of mashed potatoes and green beans. Another time we were handed another person's order instead of our's. Yesterday, we ordered grilled salmon and grilled trout with no seasoning. The trout was breaded. As another review stated: there is no supervision. The staff is very young, untrained, and most could care less how the customers are treated. Food quality is average, presentation is "pile it on a plate". Service is slow, good luck flagging someone down to beg for a refill of your beverage. Ambiance is "abandoned barn", extra high ceilings give an unpleasant "bottom of a barrel" quality to restaurant noise. Tedious view of golfers struggling on the course just outside the windows. Drove out to Del Webb's Sun City for brunch this morning. Mulligan's is located right on the golf course. Very good selections on the menu. Opens at 7:00, so you can get a good start on the day. Eggs Benedict were a 3.5 out of 5. Hash browns were a 5. Crispy just like I like them. My friend loved the biscuits and gravy. He gave them a 5. Mimosas were on par. I'll keep this place on our list. First off, this place is in a retirement/active living community. The place is always busy, as well as the other restaurant they own. (Not sure how or why the same people own, and looks like will always own the only restaurants in the community). The service is mediocre and the food is a subpar prep for nursing home food. Went there for breakfast. I will start with the good. The waitress that we had did a great job The food was not good at all. I ordered a Chorizo Omlette. There was very little chorizo or cheese on it and the red sauce that was spread over the top, had no flavor and it was cold. My wife's Migas were o.k. but compared to Dos Salsas' Migas, they were not as good. The potatoes that came on her plate were cold. First time I ordered chicken enchiladas the plate came out looking very plain. However, the enormous additional bowl of sour cream and guacamole and pico and chopped lettuce and tomatoes made it the perfect meal. Good food with a reasonable item menu of sandwiches, burgers and entree. Lots of breakfast choices. We have eaten there four times and have not been disappointed in the service or quality of our food. It is a welcome addition to our restaurant choices in Sun City, but I recommend it to our friends outside our community. Worst Fried Catfish I have ever had. Not sure it was even catfish. Breading was not crispy: chewy and a strange off-white color, instead of crispy and brown, like fried catfish and fried shrimp are supposed to be. They should be fined for selling fried catfish like that in Texas. It's an embarrassment. read more

Was a little disappointed to hear that they didn't serve breakfast all day, but it still turned out okay. My heart was set on getting a Chicken Fried Steak, but I settled for a Reuben instead, with onion rings. Pretty standard golf park restaurant faire. Nothing significantly memorable, but nothing bad, either. It's in an older community in Georgetown, Sun City. Caters to a lot of an older generation, so the food is much simpler. This food is not good. I don't know who the reviewers are stating otherwise...it's confusing. I've been here twice - always at lunchtime and have been bitterly disappointed both times. Fooled me twice but I won't be back. The first time I went, I made the mistake of getting a shrimp/oyster po-boy. Oysters were god-awful. Just grossly old. Shrimp was just okay. Fries were soggy. The queso /chips was the only thing I could eat. I thought I would give it another try today. NOPE! 4 of us had different things and we were all disappointed. I was embarrassed that I suggested the place. I tried the queso again telling them that it was the only okay thing I had so far - wrong! The chips tasted like they were fried in rancid oil. Horrendous. The catfish sandwich my friend had was undercooked. I had chicken fried chicken and the chicken was barely cooked. I was genuinely afraid of it but the service was so slow, I wasn't about to send it back. The salad was an iceberg lettuce nothing salad. Why can't you use a decent lettuce? Something that at least looks fresh. Again, the service was slow. No sweetener provided for the tea and no pepper provided on the table. We had to ask for both. I hope they get better but I suspect they will not since the people eating there don't seem to care - they're just happy to not cook themselves maybe... I'll go elsewhere. read more

Easy to go to because I'm in the neighborhood, but in last few times I've been there July and August, there is rarely a bartender standing behind the bar to serve. The bar surface was dirty yesterday and never cleaned off, crumbs and drinks. 2 patrons sat at the bar on either side of the dirty spot and it was never cleaned. Can't find the bartender to check out so waiting for Anyone to walk by to get any type of service. Bartenders vary, some not friendly at all, like you're disturbing them from something else. Poor, poor service. Gave it a try, but a number of visits July and August and absolutely no change. Not worth it at all. read more
