Elvis on stage - press the button in the fence to hear him sing and swivel his hips
    Andrea H.

Normally I wouldn't recommend eating at the golf course restaurant, but there are some great advantages of coming here. First off, they accommodate large groups of people. We had 13 people in our party. We had made a reservation in advance. They had setup several long tables together in the enclosed patio area. The patio is enclosed with floor to ceiling glass wall panels that allow you to enjoy seeing the outdoors without experiencing it when it's hot and humid outside. The wall panels actually slide to open, so you can take advantage of nice weather during the two weeks of year when it actually occurs in Texas. Unfortunately for us, it was August and hot and one of the panels was off its track and couldn't be closed all of the way. We asked to be moved. Staff quickly found two large rectangular tables that were horizontal to each other. We weren't all able to sit together, but we were close enough and now inside instead of being exposed to the heat. The big draw to this place is on the outside patio. The community has built a model train track and a model of the City of Georgetown which it travels around. The train only runs on certain days and at certain times, but even when it isn't in operation, you can checkout this masterpiece. It has a fence around it to protect it from being touched, but you can still get close up to it to see the details and the action. There are several buttons placed at intervals on the fence that activate areas of the "town". One plays and Elvis song on the loudspeaker for all to hear while your attention is drawn to a tiny stage where a miniature Elvis belts out the tune and swivels his hips while a crowd in front of the stage goes wild. One of the buttons is actually the old-time speaker that you would place in your car at an actual drive-in movie theater. When you press this button, a screen in the town plays a movie. You can see cars lined up in a lot to view it. There is so much more to see and enjoy and the organizers are continually maintaining and adding to the town's features. The restaurant has a varied American menu to please a wide range of midwestern palettes. I went for the classic chicken fried steak, and got to choose two sides. The hit spiced apple slices were reminiscent of TV dinners of old, and the fried okra never disappoints. Everyone's food at table one came out at the same time, except for mine. I assumed that it didn't fit in the tray and would be out with table two. When it didn't materialize, I had to wait and watch as everyone else enjoyed their meals. It was an understandable mistake since there were two of us who ordered the chicken fried steak. Someone in the kitchen probably didn't see the "2x" on the order slip or thought if it had been written twice, it might have been a mistake. Anyway, I didn't have to wait long. The staff were quick to adjust and make things happen when slight inconveniences like this happened. There is a full bar with counter seats for patrons wanting to watch the game while enjoying a cold one. It's near the door and sheltered from the patio dining areas so that those areas can have a more elevated dining experience without having to fight for attention and yell over a TV. I would happily come back here again just to checkout the train and any improvements the group has made to the city artwork. I wouldn't hesitate to grab a bite to eat too.

I had the Turkey BLAT with mushroom soup. My dad had the salmon. His salmons was fabulous. My sandwich was good, but next time I would pass on the soup. Our server was Sierra. She was more attentive than our usual servers. She checked on us once refilling my water, and brought the check without us having to ask.

Sweet baby Jesus! Mulligan's breakfast menu is fantastic, generously portioned, and reasonably priced. Just like everything else here, their breakfast aims to please! My girlfriend ordered the migas plate and I ordered the full stack of buttermilk pancakes. That was more than enough food to serve as brunch for two shared family style. Everything was delicious beyond our wildest dreams. The pancakes were thick and fluffy, and the migas reminded me quite a bit of those at the late, great Trudy's. We were so stuffed, they had to roll us out of there. Just kidding. Well, maybe. Service was top-notch, as always. Ambiance was cozy in our booth, yet comfortable. Better get there early though. Mulligan's breakfast menu is only served until 11:30 a.m. 7 days a week. It's worth getting up early for, though, trust me.

I thought I'd give this restaurant one more try because it's on a golf course and I thought that maybe lunch on a golf course would be nice and I would have a different experience than last time. We walked into the restaurant today and there was not many people eating and it says wait to be seated. I stood at the podium for 10 minutes before I walked up to an employee and asked if there was somebody who could find me a seat the employee told me that "he" , I assume he meant the person that was going to find me the seat, was in the back of the restaurant probably cleaning off a table and would come up to find me a seat shortly. The person did not find the host or in anyway try to help us. I said OK thank you and stood at the podium for another five minutes before I left. The customer service service could not be worse than here. I will not be trying this place again.

This is my new go to spot! I walked in and was seated immediately. My server, Rebecca, took some time to see me but she was so sweet! She immediately took my order. The food came out in exactly 15 minutes. The chicken fried chicken was amazing! It is located in an elderly community, so I thought it was gonna be quiet but I was surprised to see that the vibe was boisterous and joyful. I really enjoyed looking at their train model out back.

Usually, I get the chicken and dumplings. I was celebrating getting a new job so, I got the ribeye. I ordered it medium rare. Unfortunately, the cut wasn't good. It was thin and had thick gristle, throughout. I assumed that I would need salt. I asked for flakey salt. The sweet waitress/bartender, brought me kosher salt in a nice container. The salt helped! However, the steak was too far gone to help. It was closer to medium and, again, the cut was bad. (Note: I didn't complain! I'm sure that if I would have, they would have done anything to correct it!) The positives? The green beans were AMAZING! Still a bit crispy and tasted great! The mashed potato's were good. I ordered an Old Fashioned. It was wonderful! The service couldn't have been better! I love the bar side of Wildfire! The seating can be private or meant for people watching. It's very comfortable! All in all, this is the place to go! The service is always amazing! I didn't enjoy the ribeye but, I'm a steak snob. Wildfire will always be my "go to" spot! Sit in the bar area and you will get the best service! Edit to say that the regular bartender is fantastic! He always has been!

Awful customer service. Especially when making reservations…read more I go here a lot, because I like dry aged steak, but I can't get over the customer service around reservations. As a combat vet, I feel uncomfortable AF eating in the middle of a tiny and cramped dining room. The dining room is so small and packed here that I'm surprised that the fire marshal even allows that many people to be sat in there. Still, when I ask for a booth and say that I don't want to eat in the middle of that tiny dining room when I make a reservation, I find it odd to be sat in the middle of the dining dining room only to see that there's multiple parties that were just sat in booths and haven't even gotten their drinks yet--like, they were just sat before us (and we were on time for our reservation). I think you could have a little more respect for your customers is all. For that reason alone, you're not worth the price of your half-baked pretense in my opinion. You get a one-star for that reason alone. On the quality front, the ribeyes I get are more and more consistently riddled with connective tissue and are hard to eat, with a lot of waste. Not exactly the quality of meat cut one expects for the price. Sometimes they nail it, but I'd say at least a third of the time my ribeyes are almost half scrap. The quality seems to be diminishing since I first started frequenting this place. So, perhaps your supplier sucks. Idk. Pick your meat better if you want to demand higher prices. I think I'll stop coming back at this point. 2020 Market has good steak, too. Only I haven't dealt with so much connective tissue in my steak there. And also, I haven't had issues with my reservations there. So you lose me to your competition after having gotten so much money out of me. Consistent quality and customer service could maintain such consistent regular customers in your sales. What a weird way to lose customers. Your whole business is customer service and cooking food well. Do better.

The brunch fruit bowl I received consisted of four thin slices of strawberry (not even one strawberry), two pineapple chunks and no more than 15 blueberries. The ham and eggs Benedict was borderline flavorless and the egg white was cold and runny. I love a good poached egg, but it was more liquid than poached. The tequila sunrise was musky and the flavor of the tequila overwhelmed the rest of the drink. I really wanted to like this place! However, I spent $35 on a pretty pitiful brunch meal. The restaurant seating area and decor were all nice. The bathroom had no music and is small and cramped (you can't get paper towels without either blocking the door or a stall).
