I'd definitely recommend the cabbage rolls as the sauce was savoury and hearty; honestly both dishes were very filling as is characteristic of Ukrainian food. The borscht was more tomatoey than I'm used to which I didn't like as much (I usually have a more beet based one) but their sour cream was fresh and amazing quality. Also comes with some raw garlic and rye bread. I was definitely curious about their pastries and drinks so might come back another time for that!

I know it's soaked in three milks, but it was so heavy... it's finished with whipped cream and fruit, and you can choose either coconut or chocolate for the outside. We chose coconut for a less sweet option -!: it was delicious, super moist and tasty. It's a very rich cake though with all the whipped cream, so you can't eat too large a slice. There were plenty of leftovers, so we pre sliced them and freezer them. They defrost in the fridge overnight and taste so good again the next day. Will definitely be back for the tres leche, and ordering more pastries!

In fact, I would say it was better than any cannoli I had tried elsewhere, including in Italy. Unfortunately, I have been very disappointed recently. A couple of months ago, I noticed that the filling did not taste as good as usual, but I assumed it might simply have been an off day. Today, I tried the Sicilian cannoli again, and it seems clear that the filling recipe has changed substantially. It used to have much more mascarpone (I think) and had a lighter, creamier texture. The current filling is noticeably thicker and, in my opinion, not nearly as good as the original. I hope the owner sees this and considers returning to the previous recipe. Cannoli King has built an excellent reputation over the years, and it would be a shame to lose what made its Sicilian cannoli so special.

After witnessing these unsanitary practices, I decided to say "non, merci." There are more than a dozen alternatives in the area for coffee and baked goods. I suggest choosing one where they don't touch your food.
