It was my first time eating there and now I cannot wait to go back. The prices are very reasonable and low in my opinion for the portion size that you get. The variety of food offered is unique. I could not decide on what to eat so we ordered multiple items. I do not have any complaints with the plates we ordered. If I had to choose a favorite plate, it would be the pesto chicken panini. The Mac and cheese balls were also a great snack. I'm ready to go back and try other items on the menu. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. The wall art gives the restaurant a cool vibe. One of the only places open, with a group of 20. I have to give them props for that. As for the ambiance/cleanliness/decor it was a clean and neat restaurant. Overall the food was poor. I would stick to the staples with burgers and tacos. The food seemed to be cooked to order but it seemed like most of the stuff was heated up in a microwave and either overly salted or under salted. From the noodle dishes, chili cheese fries, alfredo, burgers, bbq plates and or desserts, everything was just simply bleh. They do seem to have an extensive beer menu, which is always a plus but the overall appeal to eat there must be a great idea when you have the munchies and nothing else is open. If they would crisp up the fries and actually cook their food without a microwave it would be a little more successful. read more

Going to be very honest here. The macaroni and cheese is absolutely the cheapest, worst, mooshiest, flavorless, embarrassment to remotely call it Mac N Cheese. It was so disappointing! There was no cheese & no cheese flavor. I felt like Nacho Libre asking myself " There are no spices. There is no flavor. Where are the chips?!" But seriously, it wasn't giving anything but plain pasta water, no salt. Even the cheapest boxed mac n cheese would have been 100 times better. So with that, don't waste your money, don't order the mac n cheese. Trust me. I highly recommend that the owners remove it from the menu or seriously revamp that dish with honest customers to give feedback because they should be ashamed of themselves for serving that jailhouse junk. The fried rice and dragon noodles were both lacking flavor. Would not order again. Wontons were very cheaply made, hardly any filling. They needed 3-4 times more of the filling, again an embarrassment to serve and take customers' money. I know inflation is taking a toll on the economy but come on guys, don't be stingy with the cream cheese. The gyoza - they had a decent flavor and amount of filling but the dough was off-very thick, chewy, and flavorless. The jalapeño poppers were less than 99 Cent Store quality. Chicken Cesar salad was no bueno. The dressing was so watered down and again very very flavorless, you could hardly taste the dressing. In fact it didn't even taste like Cesar dressing. The chicken was very strange; flavorless and a weird texture. I had to spit it out. You're better off getting a Costco Chicken Cesar salad. The only thing that was actually very tasty and the best thing by far was the East Side Boogie Burger. It was delicious. I think they saved all their love and money to make this burger. With a double angus patty, cheddar cheese - thick cut bacon, grilled onions, garlic aioli, on a brioche bun, it was the clear winner here tonight. I would go back just for that burger. So this is what I honestly think- that the owners are trying to cut costs and spend the least amount of money on ingredients meanwhile charging customers full inflation price and then some. read more

Awesome eatery with pretty much something for everyone! Burgers, other sandwiches, wraps, salads, rice & noodle dishes, too much to list! Wife and I had lunch and ordered the Pismo pesto chicken panini and oak smoked tri-tip panini and shared half with each other. Both sandwiches were hearty and flavorful. We tried the fries and the onion rings, both great choices. Rings were perfectly battered and fried to get that "just right" crunch. Fries were seasoned and tasty. The atmosphere was chill and easy, they have a bar in one corner and plenty of TVs to catch a game. It's great having something like this up on the Mesa where there aren't a ton of options near by. I ordered a BLT from Munchiez 805 via Doordash. Nowhere on the menu did it mention mayonaise on the sandwich. I would not have ordered it, becuase I don't like mayo, and of course most BLTs come with mayo. However, most restaurants tell you there's mayo on it, or at least give you the option to order it without. No such luck either way, and this sandwich was layered with mayo. To make matters worse, the sourdough bread was drenched in GARLIC! On the menu, there's absolutely no mention of garlic on the BLT, either, and that's something quite rare for a BLT. In fact, I don't think I've ever been given a BLT drenched in garlic Again, for some weird reason, I lost my taste for garlic years ago, so I definitely wouldn't have ordered it had I known. I took one bite and, between the mayo and garlic, I almost threw up. Seriously. This is the second time I've ordered from them, and both times there has been something way off with their food, as if they are trying to do something different with fairly standard fare, but it seems their cooks don't really understand food flavors at all, like kindergartners trying to cook. Fail! This was the second time I've ordered from them, thinking maybe the first time was a one-off. Nope. It's definitely the last chance they'll get from me. First of all we waited almost an hour for our food, there were only 2 families ahead of us. Everything was over priced especially considering how bad the food was. I ordered the cowboy burger, they forgot my bacon so they brought it out separately it was thin, flimsy and slightly undercooked, my burger patty was burnt and bland until I got about 1/3 of the way into it then I got a mouthful of salt which I had to spit out and then I couldn't eat anymore, I chose onion rings for my side which were cold & laid out flat on the plate instead of being a good amount piled up. My bf ordered a chicken sandwich about half way thru he said it tasted odd and stopped eating it. My kids ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl and a BLT. The chicken bowl was ok except for chunks of hard rice the blt had some undercooked bacon as well. It's the only thing I've tried but this place has the absolute best BLT I've ever had! Just absolutely phenomenal. The bacon was crispy, the lettuce was thick (I like a lot of lettuce lol) and the bread was a buttery almost garlic bread like. It was just absolutely delicious. I've been here a couple of times and so far it hasn't disappointed. Burgers, dragon noodles, or the Mac n cheese bites. All have been good and I have no complaints. They even started serving beer with my favorite on tap (Mind Haze ). The food comes out in a timely manner and the owner comes and checks on you to make sure you're having a great experience. The windows were dirty, the floors were dirty, the bathroom was disgusting. I ordered wings. They came with blonde, limpy cold fries. Lucky for me when I complained they put them back into the fryer and they were now delicious and crispy. I did not get any wings, I got dried out drumsticks. All that for $17. The tables were all on one side of the place so even though they have the space we were all on top of each other. This chain belongs in a college town where bad, greasy food is great after happy hour. After all of that, it took 30 minutes for the meal. This is the third time I have walked out not finishing my meal for all the same reasons. Three strikes and you are out! Lisa who gave the tacos 5 stars...I can't eat 3 tacos. Okay. So our group of 4 families went to visit Pismo Beach/SLO area last weekend and a water contamination warning happened while we were there. Many restaurants were closed. Eventually, the water contamination warning was lifted and some restaurants opened up. Many were still closed and those that reopened couldn't accommodate our big group. I called Munchiez and spoke to Marcus. He said to come by whenever our group was ready for dinner and let him know when we are on the way. We did and he got the tables ready for us. We got there and order and he and Gillian took care of us. I spoke to the owner's dad, Carlos Sr. about his son's restaurant and the variety of different and good food. Carlos Sr. asked and checked with me if everything was all good. I let him know that it was. So I've visited Munchiez 805 on four occasions , the first experience was lacking in service mainly due to them being open for only a few weeks and how busy they where at the time. There is a wide selection to choose from, burgers, quesadillas, noodles, rice, wings but to name a few. A sports bar feel with multiple TV's playing, viewable from anywhere in the restaurant. I figured I'd not return for a month and let them find their feet before making my final verdict, this is a decision I would not regret. The quality of food has improved, and selection of local craft beer is more than satisfactory. In summary, great comfort food, large portions, good beer, quick service. Five stars. read more

First time at Munchiez 805 was an overall a good experience, I had the Mango Habanero tri-tip fries and they were good, but if your not ready for a really spicy meal than it not for you, I also had the fish tacos and to my surprise the fish was salmon which wasn't a good surprise, if you like salmon than you would enjoy the tacos, I'm not a fan. My wife had the tri-tip tacos and a bowl of their street corn, the only thing I could say is if you go to Munchiez definitely get the corn. Like I said an overall good experience. read more

Service was not available. I went in today and waited for a couple minutes, but no one came to the service counter so I could order. I also rang the little bell. But that's awkward as hell. I didn't want to ring it more than once and I could hear someone in the kitchen talking. They also have a camera facing the register area. The restaurant itself is clean and aesthetically pleasing. There was one table occupied with a small family. I ended up going to palo instead. I'll go back eventually.
