Every time I go to the Murphy's Deli downstairs, the portions are smaller and the food less appetizing. They literally pre-weigh every scrap of lunch meat. The burgers are cooked in the microwave. They have a tiny little scooper for the guacamole, which maybe equals a tablespoon. If you get the turkey avocado wrap, you get one scoop spread on your tortilla. Since half of it ends up back in the container with the spatula, you almost can't tell there's avocado on the wrap at all. The bacon in the morning is paper thin, and the tomato slices they were putting on a lady's sandwich today were so thin, you could see through them. My baked potato today was smaller than it has ever been, and my cup of soup was only 2/3 full. Plus, all the dumplings in the chicken and dumplings soup had already disintegrated, and this was at 11:30am. So small potato + 1/3 empty soup = almost $9. No thanks. I'll bring my lunch from now on. I will avoid this place like the plague. I'd much rather starve. Honestly the food is just bad. This is a to-go Subway type deli. The bread never tastes fresh. The meat is just bland and they microwave the meat before serving it on your salad to unfreeze it. Big no no. If you're in a "Day After Tomorrow" situation, the only thing that will not make you want to call it quits is the chicken salad. The snacks are also overpriced and really limited in selection. Just. Fast, friendly service in a convenient location. The food is okay. I ordered a spinach chicken quesadilla: nothing out of the ordinary. They gave me plenty of spinach which made the quesadilla seem healthier despite the cheese. The guacamole seemed fresh but could've used more seasoning/lime juice. read more

Murphy's is always my plan B for lunch if I don't bring anything from home or can't decide on something else. All of the fare here is pretty standard; sandwiches, wraps, salads. You're pretty much safe regardless what you choose. The cobb salad is probably one of the better items I've tried during lunch. I would recommend going across the street to Burrito Jimmy's for breakfast tacos/burritos in the mornings. They also have bagels and English muffins at Murphy's, but they're nothing special. The eggs are rather dull and the spicy salsa leaves me wanting more. The coffee section on the right is decent. They're pretty quick in completing their orders and they have all the standard coffee drinks and pastries you'd expect. read more

For the most part the food is great and the prices are affordable... my only complaint is that one time I got a long hair in my Panini that I didnt stuble into until I was half way thru the first half... good thing I didnt eat it but it grossed me out and havent been back since. I might give them another chance one of these days but its going to take a bit to get that image out of my head. read more

I've tried the Deli twice and the Café twice (the Deli and the Café are both in the same part of the building, just different counters.) I was super unhappy all four times. The food is tasteless and my $5 drink--a soy chai, which isn't exactly rocket science--tasted like hot water both times. The convenience isn't worth it. read more

Murphy's is located in the building where I work and I am happy to have such a nice deli with an extensive menu to choose from. I come down to Murphy's about once a month and it never disappoints...either a gyro or the hummus and pita for my lunch. Friendly staff, quick service and reasonable prices! read more

The Murphy's deli downtown Dallas is rude, disrespectful, and devious. Even the security from the building implied I came in with others, when I came in by myself. As if a bunch of people were in there that shouldn't be, including me. I even got asked if I worked in the building. After going to the bus stop, someone cleaning a table told someone else to tell me I couldn't smoke there, when I do every morning I am there with no problem. Maybe if someone see's this, the right someone, they'll know I'm not just complaining, but was having bad, hateful customer service, and will do something about it. The food is great once they actually get your order correct. I go to Murphy's often for breakfast and there has not been a single time where they have gotten my order correct the first time. I really like their food, but I hate having to go back to get my order correct. I feel like they should pay a bit more attention to the order process. I work in a building near to this location. We've (me and my co-workers) been looking for a new place to go for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised when we found this place today. They have a big selection of salads, wraps, sandwiches, panini's, etc and the prices were decent. I look forward to going back! read more

One of the best deli's I have ever been to! Amazing customer service and great tasting food! They have a really cool digital menu system as well which gives you a great idea of what you are about to order with lots of pictures! When you go there ask for Sam, he is really nice and gave us amazing service while we were there! I will be definitely coming back to try more items off their menu since they have everything; salads, wraps, burritos, panini's, and a host of deli sandwiches with a great breakfast menu. They also have a coffee corner where they serve Seattle's Best Coffee, and free wi-fi so I am also able to work there early in the morning before having to go to the office. read more

Love this place! It's a quick walk from my work, and has so many options to choose from. However, I rarely stray from the beef taco salad because it's so good! (Trick is to add jalapenos and ask for extra salsa!) I've had the Gordo Burrito as well, and it's really tasty as well. Shredded beef is amazing. It's hard to give a chain restaurant more than 3 star. Their sandwiches are okay. The breakfast burritos and their salsa are actually not bad. The line could be long during lunch but moved quick. Employees are nice and efficient. But it is a welcome addition to the literally 4 restaurants in Victory Park. It's an affordable alternative to all the sit down pricey eateries around this area. They also sell sweet and salty snacks here (like gummy bears, sunflower seeds, etc.) Restaurant is on the lobby level of the building. Note that it closes at 3 pm everyday. So no dinner service. Overall not a bad choice for breakfast or lunch. read more

First of all, they do NOT use real eggs. This morning I ordered a simple breakfast taco with only egg and sausage. After the woman decided to add potato to my taco, I told her that I did not want any potato on it. She then promptly walked back over to the container holding the potatoes and just picked it off of my taco and put it back in with all of the other potato. This is a definite health code violation, and who knows what else they do. Murphy's Deli is overwhelmingly...fine. It's hidden away inside a corporate office building and does a healthy lunch business that I suspect is based on convenience alone. Not getting a lunch hour, I was excited to find a place in this part of Uptown that I could walk to and not have to brave the craziness that is McKinney Ave. at lunch. However, now that Klyde Warren Park and its food trucks are open, my co-workers and I have been frequenting Murphy's much less. The paninis, especially the chicken pesto, are pretty tasty. Their salads are usually a safe bet and they have daily blackboard specials. I'm also a little ashamed to admit I'm a fan of their chicken salad even though it looks like it is purchased in giant tubs. Now, for the negatives. Stay away from their sub bread - I've never tasted it that it wasn't stale. Their club sandwiches are usually dripping in mayo - beware! If you're in rush and in the area, it's a fairly solid choice - if not, there's much better out there. read more

Average quality food. My co-workers and I all got some type of panini and thought it was pretty bland. Not terrible but I would rather invest my $7 for a better sandwich at Quiznos across the street. read more

I went with a group and 3 out of the 4 in our group ordered the spicy turkey panini. Needless to say we all really enjoyed the sandwich.
