I have lived down the street for so many years and kept meaning to try this place but just finally tried it. We really liked it! It's smaller on the inside than I expected, maybe 25 tables and a bar, but it was still comfortable. It was fairly busy on a Saturday around 1pm. My mom ordered the classic cheeseburger and liked it but loved the battered fries. My brother ordered the ham and cheese panini and while it looked small it was packed full of ham. I had the chopped steak and onion rings and really liked it. The chopped steak had a nice cheese crust. The onion rings were really good. Our server was quick and checked on us often. We'll definitely be back!

We were greeted and sat right away. The waitress was attentive. The soup was really thick and very dark/flavorful. It wasn't served in a typical crock. The chef salad seemed a little small. The Rueben was average. The wedge was good but I am glad I got the hot bacon dressing on the side. When I looked at it and tasted it, it was just like bacon grease, not a dressing and definitely no bacon in it.

We stopped on a Sunday, around 11:30. The lunch crowd was trickling in and we were seated quickly. Our waiter was attentive and had our drinks served up and appetizer order in within a short time. We wanted to try several things, so we opted for both the breaded mushrooms and onion rings tower. Both were fantastic! Onion rings were the beer battered kind (not panko kind) and mushrooms were huge! Both made in house. For entrees, we went with the Reuben and chopped steak. Hubby really enjoyed his chopped steak. I stole a few sweet potato fries and they were really good. The corned beef on the Reuben was very flavorful. We had ordered carryout for St Patty's day and tried the corned beef. So glad they have it on the regular menu also! We will definitely be back!

    Ribeye streak.... So they say.

First let me say my server was awesome, prompt and friendly. The food.... To my taste at least awful. Even the salad had no tasted... how is that possible? The ribeye... didn't taste like beef, it sort of had a weird plastic taste. I've had a decent meal here before so not sure what is up....I will say, the fries were hot and very tasty.

Murphy's Pubhouse is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat at the bar or sit in the small dining room. They do have a small stage for live music. They have daily specials that aren't on the menu so check with your server or the blackboard behind the bar. We usually sit at the bar because the service is usually great. I would recommend starting with the pubhouse pretzels. The cheese sauce is where this appetizer really shines. My husband usually gets the wings and says they are good. I can also say the burgers, patty melt, and thin crust pizzas are also delicious. 4/5 stars because it is typical bar food. But they do have great service and good food. I will definitely be back.

Murphy's has a couple spots around town, but we went to the one on the south side. Music selection was perfect and there was nice low lighting; felt very relaxing. Our waiter was super sweet and attentive the entire time. Chicken Tenders were juicy and the breading was really crispy. I am a person who enjoys crispy, so I dug them. Others at the table disagreed; depends on your preference. Regardless, nice seasoning. Steak Tip Salad was quite bland. All components were fresh; spinach, beef, tomato etc., but it didn't pack a punch. What really didn't work was the dressing. It wasn't well described and my partner thought it tasted like vinaigrette mixed with bacon grease. I told him he should have went for the Club. Would I choose to go again? Most likely no If my friend invited me? For sure

Murphy might have ancestors from Ireland, but he's 100% 'Murrica born and bred, and this strip mall corner restaurant reflects that. Literally, a giant red white and blue Eagle painted on the front window. Of the strip mall. There's some cheap Irish decor around the bar, I think purchased from the Dollar General at the other end of the parking lot. So atmosphere is weak, but recall this is a strip mall in suburban Indianapolis. Let's temper our expectations. Decor and ambiance is three stars, but my review is four stars for friendly greeter, friendly wait staff, menu variety, and decent food. I met a friend here, first time we've ever been here, and the staff treated us like regulars. There is a variety of seating options, some crowded and some well spaced. Staff knowledge of craft beer was limited but they knew enough to recommend Daredevil Brewing (Speedway, Indiana) and Three Floyds (Munster, Indiana).

This is my first time here, even though it's been here for a long time, and I don't live far away. We were greeted at the door by a very friendly young man who also was our server. He was very nice, and since there were very few people in the restaurant, he seemed to handle all the jobs pretty well. I would think if it got really busy, he and it looks like one other server might struggle with taking care of everyone. But for us, it was fine. the interior of the restaurant and bar is fine. Sports/football memorabilia on the walls, though mostly it seemed to be a big bar with maybe 10 or 12 booths spread out in the open space. A bunch of TVs with sporting events on, but it seemed like the bar was the main focus. as for the food, I ordered bleu burger which came with french fries. It had all the toppings on it lettuce pickles mayonnaise and tomatoes. The burger was cooked well, hot and fresh, but the bun on 1/2 was very hard (too hard to bite through.). So I had to eat about half of the burger without any bun, but it was still very good. The fries were good hot fresh crispy on the outside soft on the inside. My wife got fish and chips and she said it was very good. Plenty fish strips and lots of fries. All in all it was a good experience and we would probably go back. But nothing spectacular.

Great food, highly recommend country fried chicken, homemade soups. Beef vegtable is my favorite. Service is on points as well.

Service and food can be hit or miss. Tenderloin is decent, I've had great meals and some that were not. Not much else to say.

They had the door open, which was letting in the fresh almost-spring air.) Drinks are pretty much all they have at Snug, to be honest. Don't visit thinking you're going to find a meal, because they don't have a lot of food beyond locally made hand pies and empanadas, a grazing board, and something called Snug Nuts. (Which brings to mind certain ... images.) I didn't get any food, just a Road & Coke, which is a whiskey with a Coke and lime, similar to a Cuba libre, although a Cuba uses rum. It was delicious, but a little light on the booze. It was only $5 and change, though, so it's kind of like what do you expect, really. It was a nice drink to sip slowly while I sat in the small, cozy bar. Speaking of bar aesthetics: Snug lives up to its name. It's tiny and dark but inviting. It feels like stepping into a hug. A hug that can also provide you with copious amounts of Irish whiskey, which sounds like the best kind of hug, to me.
