Service was attentive, but also not the friendliest. I got the steak hoagie which I enjoyed the texture, but too salty and I was not a fan of the hot slaw. The mozzarella sticks were also served with cocktail sauce which I found odd. It's an old timey place so if that's your vibe then try it.

Daily special: Ribeye with coleslaw and mashed potatoes
    Sharon K.

Super friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. My coworkers and I stopped for an early dinner. They had a daily special menu and most of us got the ribeye with 2 sides for $20. One coworker ordered the filet mignon. Our steaks were quick and the ribeye was pretty good, low on fat and juicy. It was well seasoned, the butter probably helped. I got coleslaw and mashed potatoes as sides, both were good. All of us who got the ribeye were happy. The filet mignon unfortunately was undercooked. She asked for it medium but it came out rare in the middle. She asked it cooked a little longer but it was medium rare at best, she just took it as is. Disappointed in the ability to properly cook a steak, especially one at regular price. But the rest of the food was good.

Decided to go to a neighborhood standby for dinner tonight We were not disappointed. Our waitstaff was right on it. Our orders for drinks were taken and he asked if we wanted to wait on ordering dinner We knew what we wanted so ordered right then. I had chopped steak with mushrooms snd onion and the hot house salad. My husband had the New York strip. Both were prepared perfectly In the background a couple provided 60's music and provided the perfect atmosphere Since we were here the last time they have remolded and have new dining furniture. Brick wall with fireplace behind the entertainment. Nice May not be Carmel but it is a comfortable, good food establishment. If you haven't eaten here give it a try Oh, I ordered a coke with dinner before we left he brought me a coke to go. Now that's waitstaff at its best

Stopped in with a friend because they insisted that I have to have their fried mushrooms! Must I say, they were THE BEST I've ever had!! They were very crunchy with a light batter/breading, yet succulent and juicy on the inside and full of flavor. The in-house made horseradish sauce was fresh and amazing. We requested added accompaniments that come with a loaded baked potato. The serving is good and plenty. The server was lively and very professional and personable too! The atmosphere is comfortable with plenty of tv's with closed captioning. Adequately dimly lit. A total chill vibe! I look forward to my next visit

We chose this restaurant while in town. The menu options looked tasty, and prices were reasonable. We came on a Saturday evening around 7pm and were seated immediately. Our food arrived quickly after ordering. Our server was attentive, and our orders were accurate. Two of us ordered steaks, and they were cooked perfect medium. The dessert menu looked great, but we were full. Would definitely recommend!

Th staff is great at friendliness and greeting you upon arrival. This was my second time and both have been large group events. The service is okay. The first time was better then this one. The food quality is okay for the price. Thursday nights that had live music, which was a plus and nice distraction from the long wait for drinks and food orders. I ordered the 8oz filet mignon $28 and it includes 2 sides. I ordered the broccoli and side salad. The filet did not have much flavor. I tried my friends ribeye and that tasted a little better. When you order cocktails, I.e. old fashion they over ice them and that waters them down. Try one big ice cube, please.

Great spot for some upscale food for a reasonable price. My husband and I stopped in as we had heard food was good here. I had the salad, salmon and French fries, all of which was amazing. The salad was ice cold and fresh and salmon was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. My husband loved his filet and it was cooked perfectly. We had a bottle of wine too, which on Wednesday was half off. All of this food for only $60 before tip. We were also able to enjoy the live music during our meal. Staff was fast and friendly and gave good recommendations on the menu. Depending on what you prefer for ambience, this may not be your cup of tea. But if you're looking for a great meal, laid back atmosphere and smaller prices than the usual Broad ripple restaurant, this is your place.

Cajun New York strip steak with tots and French onion soup

I was in the area for a Yelp event so I like to explore other places. I have this restaurant saved in Yelp. I would have never spotted it from the street. I have passed this shopping complex many times. There are three sections. TVs playing sports, etc. A fireplace. A bar. To order takeout, I had to go to the bar. An unmasked, extroverted woman gave me unsolicited review on the food; she could have kept her words to herself. I went in to order their daily lunch special of a $13 Cajun New York strip steak with two sides. I ordered tator tots and French onion soup. I pondered cutting my steak before leaving to make sure it was well done; however, I had other stops to make on my way home. I regret I did not check and had them cook to order. When I got home, I tried the toaster oven then had to get out my George Foreman grill. I read mixed reviews about this restaurant. For a steakhouse, it was nothing special but seems like a lot of elderly fans.

Wow what an awesome spot. Should of checked this place out sooner. The food is amazing and at such reasonable prices. I got the 8oz filet ($26 comes with 2 sides) cooked medium that I would put against other $50-$60 filets around Indy. It was cooked perfectly with a good crust. The mashed potatoes missed on flavor but I wasn't there for mashed potatoes. Definitely will be back. Service was great and wine bottles are half off on Wednesdays. Ambiance is nice and not that it was an issue for us (we are old souls) but it was an older crowd there.

The place is pretty with a nice bar area and the ambiance is nice with good lighting. We sat in one of the booths which was dirty but on the plus side love the privacy of them. To start the food took a long time to come which is always understandable and sometimes expected at fine dining, but was not worth the wait or price. First, the steak was said to be good, but the asparagus side was underwhelming with little to no seasoning/ butter. The lamb chops come with Alfredo pasta and was not seasoned and just not good. We had three orders of those so everybody can't be wrong. The shrimp and linguine pasta was dry with no sauce at all. On top of that the noodles were brittle and hard. I asked if we could have more sauce which helped a little bit. But i could not eat it because the noodles themselves were hard and dry and i did not want to send anything back because of the company i had. The presentation was pretty but the execution did not land. We also got espresso martinis and raspberry martinis and those were made well. For a place like this you just expect a little more pizazz and things to be on point! Especially at the price point they are at i expect everything to be tasty and saucy and flavorful and juicy. Can skip this one.

Listen... this wasn't just a dish, this was an EXPERIENCE. The grits were creamy, smooth, and perfectly rich, but that sauce layered on top?? Whew. Flavor on flavor on flavor. You've got that deep, savory, slightly smoky profile with juicy shrimp, sausage, and those pickled onions cutting through everything with the perfect tang. Every bite felt intentional. Like somebody knew what they were doing in that kitchen. And can we talk about how beautiful it was plated?? Because yes, I absolutely appreciated the aesthetics before I even picked up my fork.
