The customer service at this restaurant doesn't deserve any stars. We placed an order with the waitress. Somehow the group that came in after us got their food before and we were still waiting. We waited 40 minutes. When we checked the status on our order the waitress said that she didn't put in the order because she got confused and pointed to the group that came in after us. Visited Big Bear for the weekend and was looking for karaoke on a Saturday night. Tried calling before going but no one answered. This spot was recommended by a few other local bars so we went for it. Ended up being a great time! Drinks flowing at a great price, karaoke was a blast! Clean restrooms. Didn't try the food so can't comment on that. Locals were kind and made for a great time. The guy hosting karaoke was a great singer and kept it running smoothly. Stopped in for a cold beer and a snack, mid-afternoon, was not disappointed. Anytime I go to a small town bar at 1pm and it is packed, I know that I am in the right location! Busy/active bar. Kitchen is busy and even provides food to another local bar, since they are having trouble hiring people due to COVID. Drinks were great, and provided quickly. We started inside and then opted to sit outside on the patifo. Ample seating and shade coverage with umbrella and trees, a must for me! Really fun location and dog friendly as well, probably saw no less then 6 dogs roaming through the place, no problems. I'll be back here on another mountain trip. Stay thirsty friends! read more

First, I've been here multiple times and have always had great service and food. This time however the service was horrible. They never came to our table they only went to the table next to ours where I'm pretty sure they were serving friends. Went to the bar for our drinks first and then finally flagged a guy down for menus and water that never came. Had to go back to the bar again and ask for menus and water. Our food took at least 50 minutes. We ordered nachos, jalapeño poppers and chicken fingers. The poppers and fingers came out and as usual were good. Waited another 20 min for the nachos because they take "time" Really?? How much time can cheese, onions and tomatoes take?? Not good at all! The service was the worst ever! I even complained the guy said oh we are changing staff and this isn't fast food. Well duh, but for an hour?? Very disappointing. In response to the reply from the owner... I'm not sure who you are thinking of Mike, but I never asked to sit on the patio. I've been here multiple times and I would only ever sit inside to enjoy the Kareoke. If I could give this bar a 0 I would, I honestly had the worst service possible at this bar. I was in for my last night of vacation and no One even came to our table for 20 minutes , we then proceeded To go to the bar and order drinks. After that, we had to flag someone down to order food (nachos, jalapeño poppers & chicken strips) which took 40 minutes. If you come here, let me give you one piece of advice, DO NOT order the nachos, they are terrible and don't have beans on them - just cheese and a bunch of salsa and that took 40 minutes??? Pick another bar in my opinion, they only care about their regulars and people they know UPDATE: Owner responded and isn't even aware of who we are or who we spoke to because we didn't sit at the patio - I also am not sure who "she" is because the only people who came to our table were males. We travel with 4 small kids whenever we come up to Big Bear. We got scared off by all the bikers last year, but came in today and we're pleasantly surprised. Turned out to be very kid friendly. The service was great and staff was very friendly. People who complain about no servers must not realize it's self-service outside. The food was very good. So it really sucks that I'm writing a review like this. But here it goes. My husband and I planned to go to Come to Murray's Saloon because the reviews were pretty good. This was my first big bear trip but my husband has been here many times. Anyway we came in sat down and the bartender came over within a few minutes and gave us each a menu, we ordered and ate. The food was good and the bartender seemed nice no problems there. Now where the experience turns bad is when this girl with her group of friends decides it would be cool or funny or maybe she just thought she was a bad ass, I don't know but she and her friends obnoxiously start laughing it up because she thinks it's ok to shout "NIGGA NIGGA NIGGA NIGGA NIGGA" and then follow it with a "I don't care I'll say what I want, I'll show you how to be an asshole....I'm a real asshole." And then some other BS about being "IGNANT and her T (her team)" Now I could hear her friends question her about saying that because I was the obvious only black person in the whole establishment sitting maybe 3ft away from them (my husband happens to be white and Mexican but most people just see him as white). She responds again "NIGGA NIGGA NIGGA NIGGA" while laughing it up and they all join her in laughter. The Bartender seemed Buddy buddy with the group as well as the man working in the back that came to the bar and served food. Now whether they knew the group or not they could clearly hear this girl being a disgusting acting patron that other people could see and hear acting in such a disgraceful manor but unfortunately nothing was said and it continued while we finished our drinks and food. I've experienced rude nasty acting people before unfortunately, so I decided to confront the girl before leaving with my husband I tried to approached out of love and enlightenment or whatever you want to call it, I told her in her ear so as not to embarrass her in front of her friends "I don't know if you think you are being cute or funny or cool but to sit here and use that word and act the way you are "...she then interjected and said "oh no, I'm half black" Now I didn't even say what word I was taking about so right off the bat she knew she was wrong and that she was intentionally using it and being rude and loud because I a black person was sitting near by. "I then said ok that's fine, I'm full black and I don't even like to use that word" She interjected again and said "that's just the way I was raised" I stopped her and stared into her soul and said with as much force as whisper in someone's ear could allow "LISTEN!!!That doesn't matter and that's beside the point, it would be one thing if you were singing a song or it casually came out in conversation maybe the reaction would be different but to sit here and repeatedly chant nigga nigga nigga nigga nigga and then follow it with an I don't care I'll say what I want that's taunting obnoxious and unbecoming of a person. And if you are half black it should weigh on your heart and you should feel something especially with what's going on in this day and age, and with the shit I have gone through personally and other black people you should know as a black person you are more than that, we are more than that , and I'll say it again you are more than that" then I placed my hand softly on her heart and said it one more time and turned and walked out. I don't know if it didn't anything but hopefully it will. If it was a different person having to experience that the whole experience could have ended horribly and violently different but hopefully she understands how hurtful her actions were, and if she is half black or whatever hopefully she learned you don't need to act ignorant to prove who you are. This first experience was shitty despite the food being good. It just sucks to have all eyes on you for all the wrong reasons I left so embarrassed with a lump in my throat. read more
