The service was great but the soup tasted a Little old. The Salad at hibachi restaurants are always watery but this one was by far the best I've had! The restaurant was very clean but the tables are oddly close to each other. The sushi was great and wasn't fishy smelling but the pieces are small but was perfect for an appetizer! 9/10 would recommend and will probably go back if back in town!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I ordered the shrimp tempura udon (noodles) and I can not begin to describe how tasteless this dish was. You would think that they would be experts in noodles and that this dish specifically would have more taste, but it did not. This tasted like water and the noodles were over cooked and soggy. I tried adding some salt and pepper to give it some taste and eventually gave up as seen in this photo. The vegetables themselves tasted old and very much freezer like. The service itself is horrible as well. Took more than 15 minutes to even get our drinks and order taken. Would not recommend this location.

It's a cute place and the staff were nice. The sushi wasn't spectacular (the main reason for 3 stars only) though I did like the vegetable tempura appetizer. I personally think I would've enjoyed it more if I had gotten hibachi instead because that seemed to be the main thing ordered here.

Love be love Musashi ! Great owners and staff . Service is always fast ! Great food . Highly recommend

Yakisoba. I've never seen white yakisoba

The staff is amazing. The food was terrible. My husband ordered yakisoba. The noodles were not stir fry noodles they were straight up spaghetti noodles. It has no seasoning whatsoever. I ordered chicken teriyaki which came with a salad broth and fried rice. The fried rice had no flavor it was literally just sprinkles with soy sauce and left to fend for itself. I have never been so disappointed in a hibachi place. I grew up in Japan and sometimes I can be critical on certain things but man! the fact that none of us Could finish our food and had to pour garlic sauce all over it just hoping that it would taste better is honestly sad. The food was very chewy and bland. The only good thing was the salad because it was drenched in ginger dressing. Maybe they were having a bad night I don't know but I will never go there again. I really hope the fix their menu and reteach the cooks on flavoring. If I could Give It no stars I would but the staff again were very sweet.

    Crab salad. Completely tasteless.

I had the Asian Crunch with grilled shrimp and my hubby had the house salad with grilled tuna! We both loved the choices and almost licked our plates clean. Step one should be the same for everyone. Get there when they open at 4:45 because damn does this place get busy quick even on weekdays. When I rolled into the parking lot at 4:40, I had probably 15-20 already at the door. Step two, if you get there at open, consider bar seating. Clam Chowder - Scalloped Scallops - Key Lime Pie I'll just keep it at this. Is anything I ordered going to reinvent the culinary wheel? No, and one could argue that the only negative here is that most everything is on the pricey side. But with that said, everything was extremely consistent, everything was brought out perfectly timed, my cup never runnethed (sure, it's a word) empty and the bar staff are all excellent conversationalists. Also one big upside, the ambiance. The bar area is kept dark as it should be in any bar type situation and the music selection was mostly a fantastic mix of classic R&B and Blues. Can't tell you the last time I enjoyed seafood while listening to John Lee Hooker (well, I can and it would be never which is why my mind was sort of blown). Groaney, groan, groan on some of the pricing but the overall situation here is worth the five stars. I get the hype and I get why it's always busy. Also, kudos to the owner who was up front and making sure to thank every single person that walked by/out the door. Very classy.

The bartender was busy working and singing in between taking orders as she prepared drinks for customers. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and offered the specials before we placed our order. We love to sample the menu when we travel and the vast menu of tapas gave us the perfect opportunity to try just about everything. They had a smaller wine selection, but there was something for just about everyone. Our waiter was very attentive and offered suggestions on what to try if we were torn between several menu options. The Spanish lamb meatballs, truffle honey pork belly and rosemary beef were the tapas that stood out as the most flavorful and making us each want just one more bite. The Spanish meatballs were glazed with sriracha which caused me to pause before ordering. However, I'm so happy that we gave them a try. They had a bold flavor, but the whipped feta and cilantro were enough to balance the heat. The truffle honey pork belly was sliced differently. We have only had this cut into cubes at other restaurants in the past. The way that they slice the pork belly is so much better. The pork belly was served with cheese grits. We don't even like cheese grits, but could not get enough of these smoked Gouda grits. The rosemary beef with asparagus and mashed potatoes was perfect. The beef was tender, the asparagus cooked to perfection and who doesn't love mashed potatoes. We visit the crystal coast about twice a year and always try a couple of new places. We look forward to coming back to Circa 81 each time that we visit!

We ordered the Half Chef's Tour, which is their charcuterie, and it was honestly one of my favorite parts of the night. Great variety, really well balanced, and perfect for sharing. It set the tone for the whole meal. The scallop nightly special was perfectly cooked with that golden sear and super tender inside. The rosemary steak had so much flavor and was cooked exactly right. The Brussels were crispy and savory, and even the potstickers were a standout. Nothing felt like an afterthought. Service was perfect for the tapas setting too. Not rushed, we didn't feel over bothered, but not neglected either. Overall, it felt elevated but still comfortable. A great experience without feeling over the top. We'll definitely be back.

It is simply authentic and charming in its lack of pretentiousness; it's not a tourist trap, but a dependable staple of American food. The food came really fast after ordering, everything was accurate as ordered, and the portions were all really generous, ESPECIALLY considering how reasonable are all of the prices! For my family of five, it came to about $45 including tip. You just cannot beat that! Standard diner fare, nothing fancy, but it was all done well. The pancakes were REALLY TASTY, and I'm a bit of a pancake snob. That leads to our one complaint: the only syrup they had was Log Cabin, and the quality of the pancakes deserves a real maple syrup. My wife is from New England and now travels with emergency real maple syrup in her purse.
