I've also invited my gal friends who love sushi when I can get a two seater. Hubby doesn't mind not having some just so my friends could experience chef Sean's sushi. Everyone we've invited to dine with us were so impressed, including a sushi chef from Palm Springs. Her father owned a popular place for our 50 years, but has since retired. She was very impressed by the quality, and craftsmanship, the love Chef Sean pours into his creations. All my friends know how difficult it is to get reservations, so they rely on me to make them. Chef Sean keeps his little place clean, with relaxing music playing at all times. Usually Japanese music. But last night he had jazz playing and we loved it. We've been visiting Sean, and my check ins say we've been here over 50 times wow!!! Not only does he create quality delicious sushi, sauces, and tea, but we got to know him so well, we call him friend. Even like family since we got to meet his little one also. When he had the time, Chef Sean and his little one had attend events that we put on. Thank you Chef Sean for giving us quality sushi in our little town of Kent. If you haven't been to sushi Kaunta, follow him on IG so you know when reservations are open, and you can enjoy even if you have to wait weeks to get in.

Our go to are the Seared Salmon along with the Unagi Bowl. The way the sear the fish and add just the right amount of sauce makes those our go to. I fully expected them to tell me they were closing early and were going to cancel my order. To my surprise, they actually were willing to make the order but just asked that I get there before 8:30 p.m. Easy, it was 8:13, and I lived 7 minutes away. Get there with plenty of time. When I arrive, I tip the staff and graciously thank them for taking my last-minute order. After waiting for a bit, Steve, the owner, tells me that they messed up on one of the items on my order and would need to remake it, but they would provide me with the mistake at no cost. Next, he let me know that he provided me with free wontons, just because. The food, as always, was amazing, even the "mistake" meal, which allowed me to explore the menu a bit more. I love that they have steamed veggies as I like to enjoy any remaining teriyaki sauce with them. The California rolls were decent, not the best but not the worst either. The teriyaki sauce is pretty good, it is a great mix of sweet and savory. They are also very generous with rice as there was a bed of under my teriyaki and two scoops. My boyfriend enjoyed the katsu and the sauce that came with it was very delicious!
