My daughter has been going to this MyGym location since she was 18 months and she's now almost 4. Prior to enrollment, she was very cautious with her gross motor skills and was quite shy. MyGym really played a role with her feeling more confident with her big movements and also with just being louder and playing more freely in big groups. My Gym feels like a little family to us with the staff and other parents we've met. My daughter looks forward to going every time, has made friends with a little group of kids that have progressed through several classes together, and has really blossomed. As a parent I've felt connected too. When I was pregnant I couldn't lift my daughter and was limited with my participation, but the the staff was helpful and attentive to make sure my little one was still having fun and doing the activities I couldn't do with her. Overall we've had a great experience. The monthly cost isn't cheap, but I will say that other activities like swimming cost about the same and are just once a week. At My Gym we can go several times a week. There's plenty of parking and it's a nut free facility. Also, the Halloween soooktacular event is awesome! read more

Our family loves My Gym! We tried out their two week discounted trial our littlest one when he was 10 months old and have been attending ever since. Now he's a toddler and is still excited every time we pull into their parking lot. The owner Coach Pam is super sweet and helpful, and her entire crew has been really pleasant to be around -- they bring a lot of joy and energy! As a first time parent I had no idea what to do with my little besides library story time but came across mygym, we started with the trial when my baby was only about 6-7months old (he is now 19mo) and we loved it. It's so easy to schedule your classes and love that the membership includes unlimited classes we can attend throughout the week. Every week is a different theme, practice skills, songs and puppet show. We have also enjoyed the parent night out that they offer once in awhile as we don't have anyone to watch our little it has been perfect. They check in with us throughout the evening, as anxious mama I truly appreciate this. My daughter began attending in April 2023 and our experience has been great. Her dad and I take turns taking her during the week. We are both pleased with the staff and how they keep toddlers engaged. The classes are structured and interactive with circle time (for introductions, warm ups and skill of the day,) free play, gym stations, songs, and puppet shows. Initially my daughter was shy, however in the case past two months her social skills have blossomed and she loves exploring the gym. I highly recommend My Gym. I've tried 3 other places and they just seemed to go through the motions and they all were doing the same things. My Gym has the most unique "adventures" they call them each time. They are so creative, I can tell they are passionate about their business. Another weekend, another birthday party down. This place, My Gym, is in an industrial complex was a little hard to find as the sign in the complex all looks the same with the small orange sign. It sits next to a Japanese hybrid car company. Once inside, to the right is the bathroom. (There's only one bathroom) You'll see cubbies that doubles as chairs for kids straight ahead of you. (Oddly enough, there's no room for their feet). There's some beach chairs here as well around the complex. I do have to say, there's really not enough seating for the parents here. There's one big room for the kids to play with. It has a ball pit, a mini rock wall above that, small slide, 3 trampolines, a lot of hook and play items like a rope or a tire swing the instructor can put on for you. There's really not much here if your kids are not between 3-5. However, that being said, the instructors here are great. They kept the kids amused throughout the time they were here. They will play games such as hide and seek , games like follow what i do, games like run around with another kid. There's 3 instructors here in all during the birthday party and they were always helping the kids. During the party, the kids would play first, then they would eat for a bit, then eat the cake, then do the zip line. It's a relatively short zip line, no more than 3 seconds but it was fun for the kids. One thing I have to say is that, if you try calling them here when they're not here, you won't get anyone on the line. I had lost something here and tried calling and no one picked up the phone. So the phone number is directly to the center when someone is working here. Overall, it was a nice place to have a party, just needed more seating for the adults and would love to see more items for the kids to play with. read more

We had our 4 year old's birthday here and the staff were no less than amazing. Their costumes, enthusiasm of the staff and their ability to engage with the kids was great. I'm writing this review mostly to give people a heads up about the cancellation process. In the contract it says that you need to bring a signed cancellation form in person, but I learned after the fact that all they require now is an email with the signed form attached. It would have been nice if Pam could have updated the contract so I didn't waste my time coming in person! Also, my 7-year-old daughter only attended the Ninja class a few times before she got very sick (I'm talking the worst cold virus she's had her whole life) and she decided that she didn't want to go back after that (who can blame her). After that experience, I highly doubt they keep their equipment clean. The class itself was enjoyable and challenging, though, so I gave a star for that. Lastly, when I cancelled it was the day after I got billed for that month, so they are charging me AGAIN at the end of the month. A good, decent business who cares about its customers/members would have waived the additional charge because it was so close to the cut off date and I obviously am not going to use it. However, due to it being technically their right to charge me again they decided to get as much money out of me as they can :-/ Very shady and greedy, to say the least. One more minor thing--some of the young people who work there need to work on their phone skills. Snarky attitudes are not professional. read more

They do a great job of making everyone in class feel included when doing an activity and making sure everyone has a turn. They keep the children engaged and interested during play and circle time. Their establishment is very clean. They vacuum and sanitize equipment before and after each class. Guests are required to wash their hands before and after class. Let me explain something PAM....everyone sees you yelling at your staff during class time. Everyone sees you and hears you complaining about parents. You're always obnoxiously complaining and carrying on...waving your arms like someone's trying to take your sandwich from you. Always sound like you're having a nervous breakdown. How are your employees so happy and productive under your stressful rule? I DONT KNOW BUT ALL US PARENTS THINK YOU SHOULD JUST STAY HOME AND KEEP THAT NEGATIVITY OUT OF YOUR CHILDREN'S GYM. We've been coming to My Gym since 2019. Both my daughters have gone to My Gym and have loved it! Ms. Pam and her team do a great job at engaging the children with different activities and skill stations. They are always changing it up which keeps it fun for the kids. Both my daughters always look forward to their class. Even throughout the pandemic they got creative and moved outdoors and now that classes are back inside they do a lot to ensure its clean, sanitized and safe. We also love the seasonal events that they do like halloween and christmas! They are easy to get into touch with via text which makes it convenient for busy parents. Our family loves this place. Kids can run around, have fun, and lose energy. They offer some "parents night out" and camp too. We love the puppet show at the end of each class. The gym is kept clean and it is play oriented. (They offer more gymnastics type classes after age 4.) It can be a little slow to communicate with them but that hasn't been too inconvenient. The day before our trip to Hawaii, my daughter and I attended the free class.. and the instructor was coughing and sneezing.. and touching my daughter.. We love it here! Staffs are great. We didn't know about this place. We walked in to get some information and Mr. Russel invited us to stay for free class (1st time). My kid enjoy it so much so we decided to sign up for it. I took my kid to a few gym class before this one including various activity in the area. Let me tell you those class from Grazzett magazine that shows all class in the area are not comparable to my gym. We always disappointed at how those class are so unorganized or unclean. My gym reached our (high) expectations. We love that the class is not too big which give my kid a chance to warm up with instructor. I have a shy kid lol. Affordable + plenty of parking. They change thing up every weeks so my kid not get bore. They have 2 for 1 promotion going on right now ( pay for 1 and get to take 2 classes). My kid gets to enjoy time more at the gym. The problem with this place is 100% the owner Pam. Because of the way she treats the employees and her overall interaction with her customers is the reason why I took my daughter out of my gym. We love this location! The owners and staff are so great with the kids! We like to do parents night out and we feel very comfortable leaving our son in their care. After a couple years of visits here and there we know that we can trust the people they hire and we know our son will always have the best time! We are so excited that this My Gym has joined our neighborhood. It use to be that we would have to trek much further to get to one, now it is so much more convenient. I have always found the price and yuppy babble of these types of places offensive. It's major competitor, whom will remain nameless, literally sings the same 5 songs, has the same 10 toys and offers less in 45 minutes than my own house does. And, they charge you $75 a month for the privilege to come once a week! My Gym is much more movement oriented with plenty of slides, ladders, ball pits, forts, bubbles and even a zip line! I can see how for crawling children it wouldn't offer much, but once that rug rat is vertical and mobile, this is the place. Granted, it is no deal either. But, if I am to choose between one of the two, My Gym wins hands down in every category. Plus, anything is tolerable with a venti coffee... read more

This last weekend, we had a party for my kids here. They let you bring in your own food which is huge. The party is flowing the whole time and they make a huge stink about the birthday boy (or girl). The kids loved it, and so did the parents. No clean up, no worries about bad weather and no lingering guest at the house. Expensive...at first it seems so, but we spent less than we have at our "house' parties. Moreover, the level of entertainment was so high I thought the value was worth it. WOW! My son ( almost three) loves coming to MyGym in Long Beach. He asks to go see "his teachers" every time we get in the car. The instructors are high energy, loving and exhibit levels of patience usually attributable to angels and Mother Teresa. The "teachers" conduct a one hour class that is capable of keeping 3-5 year olds engaged, following instructions, and waiting their turns. What? I didn't even know that was possible. I took video one night for proof. I sit on the sidelines in disbelief while chatting with other family members who are all very friendly. The format is brilliant compared to some other equivalent programs I have tried with no success. The program each week integrates clear learning objectives, bothy physical and social, into each class. My son's social skills are growing by leaps and bounds and I love watching him run into the gym yelling "my teachers" and getting hugs. He truly loves to come here and the staff never fail to make time for the demands of little toddlers.I have watched them stop doing paperwork to greet incoming children and to give my son a big hug and ask how he is doing. Right now, money is tight for our family so the activity money is scarce though I go without some extras to make sure my son can keep going here every week. We pay $80 a month for one lesson a week and then we try to make the open play one other time a week. My Gym also has all sorts of other fantastic programs such a "drop and shop" and parents night out. Sometimes, I take my son to parents night out just because he loves being there and they do such a good job of engaging the kids in activities. All programs are reasonable, Usually about $10 an hour. We also attended the Halloween party that was a little chaotic for me but my son loved it and it was much more productive than going trick or treat. MyGym is a franchise and this franchisee got it right! They have hired amazing staff who are both talented and passionate. The staff, without exception, come across as committed to the children they have in their care even when sometimes the children are pushing their luck with behavior challenges (my son). It is clear the lesson plans for each class are planned out - this group is not "winging it" and we have yet to have the same class twice. My only suggestion - more! I would find a way to pay for art classes, karate classes, etc though the class offerings in the evening are very limited. Darn my job. They have an unlimited class option for $130 and if they had more classes scheduled for this age group in the evening and weekend then I would bring my son here for everything. Up until recently I would have rated 4 stars because they are great.... but sometimes it can seem a bit expensive when you and your husband work and you can't take advantage of free plays and unlimited classes as much (as I used to when I was a SAHM). However, I recently enrolled my daughter in an art class and the instructors at that studio don't hold a candle to the teachers at this My Gym. My 2 year old daughter knows exactly where we are going as soon as we turn onto Industry. There are a handful of teachers whom she knows very well and vice versa. ALL of the teachers are beyond friendly and they all greet the children by name as soon as they arrive. We have been here since my daughter was only a few months old. We have both made friends (with the children and parents). They are highly organized (every week is a new set up, new activities, new songs, new puppet shows), high energy and incredibly hands on. I know that we will be here for years to come. We are already planning on having her 3rd (she turns 2 in a month) birthday party here! read more
