My-Kitchen feels like a hidden gem I just discovered. I was craving a breakfast burrito and stumbled upon this spot on Yelp, and I'm so glad I did. The place was packed for a Wednesday morning, which immediately felt like a good sign. It's a small diner with cozy booth seating and welcoming vibes. I ordered the sausage breakfast burrito and subbed the country potatoes for hash browns. They offer homemade salsa and sour cream on the side, both of which were delicious. The burrito tasted clean and fresh; soft, fluffy eggs, fresh avocado, and no greasyness like you find at other spots. I really enjoyed it. Hubs ordered the Early Bird special and enjoyed his meal as well... along with a few bites of mine. I highly recommend checking out this small business. Cheers!

I came here with my husband once and saw the breakfast enchiladas. Ended up changing my mind. Came back and MANNNNNN I was beyond impressed! If you don't like spicy AT ALL this isn't the dish for you.

Brunch at My Kitchen was a bit of a mixed bag, so I'd give it about 3.5 stars. The caramel milkshake was creamy, but no taste of caramel. The crab cake benedict had nice flavor with a smooth hollandaise, but a bit too heavy for me. The Denver omelet was hearty and satisfying. I actually liked the white gravy sauce on top, it gave it an extra richness that worked well. Overall, cozy spot with potential, just not quite a full 4-star experience for me.

One weekend, my partner and I were feeling too lazy to make breakfast, so we decided to eat out instead. We originally planned to go to a different restaurant, but they were closed for remodeling. In a bit of a rush, I checked Yelp and found this place with an overall rating of four stars, which made us eager to give it a try. The place was clean, and overall a nice place for a meal. We decided to share a Waffle Egg Benedict, and it was absolutely delicious! Instead of the typical English muffins, the dish used a waffle as the base. One half of the waffle had a perfectly poached egg on top, which was wonderfully runny. Rich, creamy hollandaise sauce was drizzled over the egg--so tasty! The other half of the waffle was placed alongside seasoned country potatoes, which were exceptionally well-seasoned and the best I've ever had. I believe this dish might have been a special, as I can no longer find it on the regular menu on their website.

First of all, the service was amazing. The waitress was so patient, kind, and understanding with us because we were on a bit of a time crunch. Secondly, the food was ready so fast that I was actually stunned. Not only that, the food was ready in a crazy short time but they did not sacrifice quality for the sake of time which I really appreciate. We ordered the pancakes combo with bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, and hash browns. And then we also got a plate of chicken and waffles. To start, the fried chicken was so crispy and crunchy on the exterior and the inside was so juicy and moist and full of flavor. Im not personally a big fan of chicken as a protein but this was amazing and definitely almost made me change my opinion on chicken as a whole. Secondly, the waffles were so crisp yet soft, it was such a perfect delicate balance of texture that I really enjoyed. I'm also not a big fan of sausage because processed meats like salami and hot dogs usually scare me. BUT, the sausage was honestly super good it did change my mind on sausage as a whole. The scrambled eggs were so soft and fluffy and the flavor on its own, it really spoke for itself. I felt like it was a good example of when chefs let the ingredients speak for themselves. Because I usually will add pepper and hot sauce to my hash browns and eggs but it really did not need it. Everything was already super flavorful and well seasoned. It was amazing, I actually have no negative comments for the food whatsoever. The ambiance itself was just a simple diner vibe where everybody is chatty within their own groups and it's very, I wanna say comfortable and welcoming kind of vibe where it feels like people are friendly and just happy to be there. I absolutely adore the aesthetics of all the decorations on the wall, this restaurant definitely had a theme in mind and executed it well. I'm not sure how to describe it fully but it was very cool and definitely sparks a lot of good talking points. Overall, this is my second time here and I am happy to say I will be coming back here as well. This might be my new favorite breakfast diner

My fiancé has been wanting to try this place forever but I've been hesitant because of the negative reviews. Anddd they were right. We came in at 10:30am and were seated pretty quickly but then there was a line right after we sat. After being seated no one came by to take our order. Servers would walk by and we'd try to flag them down and they'd walk right by us. After 20 minutes, we finally went to the front to ask to order. Someone else also had to go ask. Tables that came after us got their orders taken quickly though. I dont know why our two tables were completely ignored. When the food came out, it was piping hot but it was just okay. I got an eggs benedict that was supposed to come with fruits and they didn't give me fruits. The hollandaise sauce was super sour. The hashbrown was crunchy though. Prices are on par with Bill's cafe, which imo is expensive, considering the nonexistent service. After we were done eating, we tried to flag someone down to pay. Again, no one would stop. I guess they didn't wanna be paid. I had to go to the front again to ask to be paid. If you're like us and have been hesitant to try My kitchen, don't do it.

My Kitchen was pretty full when we arrived. It wasn't clear if it was seat yourself or wait to be seated so we stood awkwardly at the front for a bit. There were two tables available that needed to be cleared and cleaned first. The menu is full with lots of popular options. We went with chicken friend steak and eggs, waffle Benedict, and Irish benefit. Coffee refills came but were a tad slow. But they were pretty busy. The dining area is a circle with booths all around. The food was good! We'll probably be back.

Great food. Pancakes were light and fluffy. Not chewy or rubbery. My only complaint is that the bottle of ketchup was not very clean. I look at the other tables and they were the same. No one wipes them down after customers use them.

Cute little breakfast spot. I've been here before but it was first time with my toddler. She liked her food and I loved my skillet. I would definitely get that again. The only thing what was not my favorite is the bathroom. You have to go down a hallway close the the kitchen. Other than that service was good and decent prices.

Met up with a friend for brunch. Luckily she recommended this spot. I love supporting local restaurants. Upon entering we were greeted and shown to a table. They were busy, but lucky for us we got these before the huge morning rush arrived. We were seated at a booth and provided with drinks right away. They have an extensive menu and I love that you can change your toast for pancakes. I ordered the veggie omelet but asked if they could make it a scramble and they did. I paired it with their potatoes and chose pancake as the option. My friend ordered the pancake combo. We enjoyed our drinks, coffee and fresh OJ while we waited. The dining room is not huge but they had plenty of space for you to not feel like everyone was part of your conversation. Plus they had booths which I love! The food came out and it was perfectly cooked, as some places tend to overcook scrambles. The pancakes was probably the best part, perfectly cooked, and fluffy. If you're looking for a local brunch spot I highly recommend them. I will be back for sure and perhaps become a regular.

Solid 3 1/2 stars for my first visit to My-Kitchen. I have a friend who has eaten there multiple times, and I joined her recently to check it out. Apparently, My-Kitchen either has new ownership or management and underwent a facelift. It looks nice and clean with 14 booths. Think family-owned diner open for breakfast and lunch from 7:30 am-2:00 pm. I don't know if they were short-staffed, but they only had one server while we were there and everything took a while (we didn't get our drinks until shortly before our food came out). My friend tried the breakfast enchiladas (3 corn tortillas, egg, chorizo, ranchera sauce, Jack cheese, & avocado) with home fries. She liked it. I opted for the Joe's Special (ground beef, spinach, egg, green onion, & mushrooms) with hashbrowns and pancakes. This was the first time I'd had Joe's special w/green onions vs yellow. I kind of liked the difference. The pancakes were good, and I really liked the crispy hashbrowns. It was better than I anticipated from looking at the previous restaurant's photos. I feel good about going back. Next time I'll try their chicken and waffles.

Over the years this place has been various restaurants for breakfast and I never had a chance to stop on by. So since I was having work done on my car at Kim's Tire a few blocks away I thought I would give them a try with my son. A new owner took over 3 months ago and she, Anne, was very nice. Extremely customer service oriented and service was pretty fast. Food cane very quickly and was pretty good. Decor is like any diner you expect but she updated it with some big screen tvs. If your looking for a good place to have breakfast which homie this is a good place. read more

This business replaced "Sky Kitchen" in the same location. In fact, the menu still says "Sky Kitchen" so it's the same food and from what I can tell the same servers, but maybe the owners have changed? At any rate, this is a great little diner in South SJ that serves breakfast all day. It's fast, delicious and inexpensive. read more

I think this is under somewhat new ownership. They have great food to dine in or take out. The best part is talking to all the staff. Makes it really feel like a neighborhood diner even on your first visit. Portions on the food perfect and leave you feeling content with a great meal. I got the country fried steak which is my typical weekend indulgence. It was cooked to perfection and not tough like some places. Can't wait to have brunch here again. read more

We decided to take a chance and try this place for the first time because another place we stopped by was too crowded, and I'm glad we did! We got to My-Kitchen after what must have been their brunch rush, but the staff were super friendly, welcoming, and still had a pep in their step. The place is on the smaller side but with vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans so it felt open, spacious, and airy, not at all stuffy or cramped. The staff all wore masks properly which, in addition to the effective air circulation, made us feel comfortable and safe. The only thing I didn't like was there was only one restroom, albeit pretty clean, but I don't know that that can be helped in the current build. Now onto the yummy stuff! We were given ample time to peruse the menu which was full of all the classic breakfast and lunch options you'd want, but didn't feel overwhelming: pancakes, waffles, omelettes, scrambles, salads, steaks, burgers, etc. There was also a comprehensive list of things you can order on the side, in case you have trouble deciding between combos. The coffee was hot and strong (both reg and decaf) and free flowing. The food arrived faster than the time it took to decide on our orders, with no negative effect on the quality whatsoever. We got hash browns and country potatoes with our two pancake combos, and the portions are admittedly smaller than somewhere like Black Bear Diner, for example, which prides itself on giving you enough to take home. Nonetheless, we left with satisfied tummies and some of my pancakes in a to-go box at a reasonable price. Moreover, the bacon strips were impressive, the eggs (over-medium for us) were cooked to perfection, the mixed seasonal fruit was fresh, and the pancakes were fluffy and moist! I understand there is new ownership (who are very passionate and enthusiastic about providing an enjoyable dining experience), and the same great cooks and at least one seasoned waitress stayed on. Thanks to the whole staff we got a quick and delicious meal with delightful service. What more could one want? We look forward to becoming regulars at this local mom & pop breakfast spot, and will definitely try the mimosas next time! read more

We recently moved to the Blossom Hill and Snell area and found that My-Kitchen was a five minute walk from our house. We met the owner yesterday. What a really nice lady The found is fantastic. The biscuits and gravy are delicious. They've a senior menu which is nice The art work on the walls are for sale I highly HIGHLY recommend a stop. read more

Really enjoyed their omelette special and service was very good. The guy kept the coffee topped up and cleaned dishes from my table as soon as he noticed I was finished. Pros: quick, friendly service. Cons: room temperature gravy on the biscuits and gravy (this is a major food safety concern-- food kept in the "danger zone" temperature range). Fatty bacon. Eggs and hash browns were below average quality. I can't recommend this place. read more

A mom and pop place. The staff were friendly and very attentive to filling up your coffee cup. It is an regular breakfast stop, if you are craving your basic breakfast items and don't want to cook at home. The hash brown wasn't as crispy as I would have preferred and slightly cold in the inside. It was nice that I could get substitute fruits. read more

Terrible service from the hostess to the server. I had to ask for silverware 3 times. I asked for a cup of fruit and it was never brought to the table the girl ignored me. she never checked on how the food was. I had to ask for the check. they took forever to seat us and lied and said it would only be 15 minutes. our party was not even sat together they separated us. terrible terrible terrible. they had no organization at all. very chaotic environment. would not recommend and will not be returning. read more

My lox and bagel were ok, except bagel wasn't toasted. So 2 stars. My husband ordered a build your own scramble with just chorizo and eggs, but received a dried out omelette with some chorizo but the omelette was so overcooked it was barely edible. (I wouldn't have eaten it.). A scramble is NOT an omelette, this was definitely an omelette. I won't go back. read more

First time dining at My Kitchen. It's a hidden gem. Funny thing is, i'm always in this shopping center. I'm glad my 12 year old daughter suggested it. She came here a few weeks ago with my husband. First off, this is such a cute little place to go to for brunch. Second, the downside is it closes at 2 & I get outta school at 12:30 so I have to speed here. Anyways, I got the New York Steak w/ potatoes, over easy eggs and french toast w/ strawberries. The steak was juicy & tender. The potatos were crispy & delicious w/ a little salt and pepper. The eggs were average but there's three! I personally didn't like the french toast and wished it was more fluffy but overall, the experience was nice. This place is the best--Scramblez level food but with way more options and they don't skimp on the avocado. Waitress is very nice and talkative. It's also a smaller place and costs a little less than Scramblez so it's usually less loud--but beware of coming on a busy day like Saturday with no reservation. All tables are booths or bar seats and accommodate 4 or 5 people, but they will sit you at two booths next to each other and remove the divider if you have 8ish people. Food is delicious and they will substitute lots of stuff which is great for vegetarians (Dennys won't even give you a fruit cup instead of bacon). I also think this diner has soymilk. I've eaten pastrami burger before, but not corned beef burger. Also I love corned beef. I came back last Saturday for the corned beef burger. For $3 more instead of fries I requested onion rights. There is an abundance of milkshakes at City Diner. I asked my server and he recommended the "Groom", which is a mocha malt as it is his favorite. The "Groom" wasn't too sweet so I was able to finish it. The corned beef burger included slices of bacon. I was worried that the bacon would mask the taste of the corned beef as both bacon and corned beef are cured. I was correct as I couldn't taste the corned beef due to the bacon. Overall I'm glad I came here to eat for lunch however I do not see myself coming to City Diner anytime soon.

My favorite bite of the entire meal was actually the Biscuits & Gravy, they were absolutely delicious. The portions here are no joke. Neither of us came close to finishing our meals, so we're looking forward to some great leftovers. While most entrées are around $20, it's easy to justify the price when you're basically getting two meals out of one. We both ordered coffee, and just like many other reviewers have mentioned, the refills kept coming. We each had four refills. Our waitress, Breanna, was friendly, attentive, and top-notch. If you're looking for a local spot that serves excellent comfort food with generous portions and outstanding service, Garcia's Country Kitchen is definitely worth checking out. We came for breakfast, but after this experience, we'll definitely be back to try the lunch menu.

I don't usually write long reviews, but Café San José deserves recognition. This is one of those places where you can immediately tell that the people behind the business genuinely care about what they do. The food is excellent -- fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. You can taste the difference when a restaurant uses fresh products and good-quality oil instead of trying to cover everything with excessive seasoning or sauces. Everything tasted clean, balanced, and properly prepared. I also really appreciated the cleanliness, especially the bathroom. It was spotless and well maintained. I always pay attention to that because I believe a clean bathroom says a lot about the standards and attention to detail throughout the entire establishment. But what really brings everything together is the people. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and genuine. There is a human touch here that you don't always find anymore. Good food is easy to find. Good people are easy to appreciate. But finding great food, fresh ingredients, quality oil, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality all in one place is something worth recognizing. Café San José feels like a true neighborhood café that takes pride in what it serves and how it treats its customers.
