I took my car to Joe's for an AC issue. It took forever to get a reply back from the shop but when I did, friendly service, the woman was very pleasant. I trusted their diagnosis and let him work on the car. $1200 later I got a used AC condenser that never blew cold air. The shop told me I had a leaky hose that will need to be replaced. I came back later because of funding and the shop told me they'd call me back to set up an appointment. Two weeks later (now), I'm still waiting for a call back from this shop. Because I was tired of sweating like a pig in this Atlanta traffic, last week I took it to another shop who diagnosed a small leak coming from the "replaced" condenser to which they charged the system and the AC is still blowing cold after a week of driving. I know it won't last because of the leak but this tells me two things: Joe never charged my system and they sold me a crappy product....take it for what it's worth. read more

Once again John and the guys at My Mechanic Joe got my vehicle up and running. I was told I needed a rear main seal, which isn't cheap. Luckily it was just an oil pan and John saved me hundreds on my repair if not thousands! If you need your vehicle worked on for a VERY REASONABLE price, call them and set up an appointment. No up-selling here. Your car gets evaluated and you get what you need. Dealer wanted to do an expensive checkup and recommended I replace the cabin air filter for a whopping $125 and an alignment for another $100. I replaced the cabin air filter for $20, and my very basic test of letting go of the wheel and seeing if the car veered told me the alignment was probably not necessary. John had his mechanic drive the car and check tires - no alignment. Oil change and I was on my way. Never again going to a dealer. Thanks John - can't say enough good about this guy. read more

John, and his father before him, have an exceptional reputation and have done quality work at a fair price for many years.
