My bf discovered this place recently and he really enjoyed it so I wanted to check it out for myself and it didn't disappoint. We were starving and started off with the chicken satay with peanut sauce. Chicken was moist and cooked perfectly, not rubbery or overly cooked. We got 2 orders of spring rolls with pork and shrimp since we love them so much. They serve their rolls with a house made sauce similar to sweet n sour lumpia sauce but even better. I personally like my spring rolls with peanut sauce and they obliged to my request. I always get pineapple fried rice and pad see ew if I see it on the menu. It was my bf first time having pad see ew and he's now a big fan. I have to admit it was a little mushy and saucy here but nonetheless the flavor was great. We also got a platter of the combo bbq which was also great but barely got attention from me because I was stuffed by then. Service was great and friendly. So so so good! I was craving Thai iced tea and then I remembered the spot that had THE BEST Thai iced tea ever! But I couldn't just come to My Thai without ordering any other delicious food from their amazing menu. I have come here for years and haven't been in a while and somehow their flavors are all what I've been craving all day. The service was so wonderful and everyone is so nice. We were consistently checked in when needed & our orders came in quick! The ambiance is very chill and quiet, perfect to enjoy the tasty food. I will always recommend this place. read more

The food at this establishment is delicious! My family and have loved everything we've ordered! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We have ordered mostly to go because the place is a bit small and gets full pretty easily.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also, it is a bit cluttered which if removed would give way for at least another table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I understand it is a small place but the clutter doesn't help. Ordered delivery of yellow curry and rice. Not the lunch special but a la carte, we like leftovers. Thai is always so good the next day. Slightly dissatisfied with both size and flavor. Rice is a typical white take out container, that size for the price ($3) is consistent across most curry type places. Yellow curry came in a pint container. For this price($12), most other places are a quart. Yellow curry while had plenty of chicken, potatoes, onions, and carrots was very lacking in flavor and absolutely no spice, nor was there an option to ask for levels of spice through doordash. I understand yellow curry is the milder curry of the 3 main types, but I don't care for all the ingredients in the green and red curries. May attempt to order from here again by looking at different ordering options to see if the yellow curry heat level can be adjusted. read more

This was by far the best red curry I have ever had. What made it even better was that I didn't have to do special request. Usually, I am asked spice level and if it comes with eggplant I ask to remove it. Yet here it was just perfect. Service was great. I placed my order on the app an hr prior to picking up but it was still not ready upon arrival. Yet the lady Manning the service desk was super friendly and professional and made sure to get it done as soon as possible. Over all it smelled delicious and it was good. read more

This is my first time ever leaving a review on a restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I felt really uncomfortable during my meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked the server about the fried rice and if they had a chicken fried rice. The server mentioned grilled chicken and I agreed thinking she meant grilled chicken fried rice..... instead of serving my family and I the chicken fried rice she served us grilled chicken. When bringing up that we were served the wrong plate the server began arguing that I ordered the grilled chicken plate. They offered to charge me for half of the price when they had served us the wrong plate. Then when I went back to the table the server was still saying that I was in the wrong while she was in the kitchen. The issue is not the mistake of the order because mistakes happen. The issue for my family and I was the reaction and the fact that there was no appropriate solution besides 50% off a plate. They continued to check in and attend us but there was no solution to THEIR mistake. I felt really uncomfortable. My family and I decided to keep the grilled chicken because we didn't want to cause issues. The service was not good and my family and I felt uncomfortable. The food was horrible.....5the green papaya salad was dry and not very flavorful, the fried calamari wasn't completely fried. It needed to go a couple more minutes the pad Thai was sticky, gooey and not very tasty. The beef salad was disgusting. read more

Service was great. Hubby's basil chicken was really good. My Penang Currey with chicken, which is my favorite Thai dish, was watery with little flavor. All the things in the curry were good, but I could not taste any Penang spice at all. Disappointed in our first visit. If you are looking for authentic, piping hot and freshly made thai food this is your spot! I order here on doordash most but have eaten there as well. My favorites are the lunch special yellow curry (medium spice) and the seafood clay pot. The seafood clay pot is worth the price. You get a ton of seafood, shrimp, mussels, clams, squid and scallops over rice with veggies. Just yum! The yellow curry is also spot on, the chicken is tender and potatoes also tender. Love it. They get the spice just right as well. The ambiance of this place is typical of a mom and pop thai place. The service is good for what I can remember and the staff are kind and make sure your water is full. Plenty of parking in a large parking lot as well. I don't have a bad thing to say about this place - its one of my faves and go to's for sure! read more

The service is not great. Asked for warm water and hot water with no ice while the table next to us was asked if they want hot water. In terms of quality of the food the duck was a bit undercooked. I usually don't go for soup as a main dish, but the cold/rainy weather tempted me, and I was pleasantly surprised with this Tom Yum soup! It was warm and comforting, but light on the stomach at the same time. Just what I needed! My new favorite Thai restaurant! I got pad see ew with tofu tonight, which was very flavorful. I could taste the black soy sauce. Last month, I ordered their yellow curry with tofu and a Thai iced tea. The yellow curry was a lunch special and came with rice, salad, and wonton chips. They didn't skimp on the tofu and veggies in the curry, which hasn't always been the case for me when I get curries. Both times I ordered from DoorDash so I can't yet comment on the service. Hopefully, the service is as wonderful as the food. If you like Thai food and are in/near Pleasant Hill, I highly recommend giving My Thai a try! read more

I met a friend for dinner. While waiting a while in my car, I could tell that this was a popular place. So many people were getting take-out! I finally went in to wait and it was very nice. The women working there were very welcoming. When my friend arrived, we shared the best Tom Ka soup I have ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced. We each had Pad Thai, and both were delicious. I will definitely be back to try more things - and for more soup! read more

The curry puff appetizer was really tasty served with a cucumber salad. The Roasted Duck Pineapple Curry stole the show! The duck was prepared to perfection. Highly highly recommend get the duck. Don't eat here unless you like HAIR in your food and bad customer service! I came here with my family and we ordered the paid Thai vegan and specified no egg due to an egg ALLERGY. When the order came there was egg in it. I told the waiter and they remade it. I didn't make that a big deal because I understand things happen. BUT, we ordered the mango sticky rice and halfway through eating it there was a big black straight HAIR in the middle cooked into the sticky rice When we told the waiter they quickly snatched it off our table and walked away. We didn't want it anymore because seeing HAIR in our food spoiled our appetite. They ended up remaking it but we told them we didn't want it but would take it no charge since it was already made. We felt like it's the least they could do since they already made a mistake with our order, and now there's hair in it. The waiter snatched the order back and talked to the manager to see if they could comp it but the manager said no, even after all the inconvenience. Honestly I never write bad reviews, but I'm seriously questioning the cleanliness of this restaurant. If you search the word "hair" in their reviews you'll see that this isn't the first time. I would think twice before eating here if I were you. read more

this place is my family's go to thai place. to be honest the food generally is prob like a 3.5 but the things we like (cashew nut tofu, pad thai) are 5/5. their appetizer sampler is great for groups. just got their panang curry for the first time and was underwhelmed. we usually get take out bc we don't love the inside... they have nice touches but usually it's pretty empty. we love the people who run this place and they know us and our so kind. but if it says anything, we moved about 20 mins from here and have 2-3 thai places within 5 mins of us but still order from here. read more

Beef Brisket Kare Kare: I honestly thought I didn't like kare kare until I tried their version. The peanut sauce was rich and savory without tasting like peanut butter in a jar like Skippy. What really took it to another level, though, was the bagoong sauce (on the side), which paired so well with this dish. This dish was absolutely yummy. I am writing to formally express my disappointment and frustration regarding a recent experience I had with your staff. I placed an online order on July 5th a and within one minute of submitting it, I called the restaurant to request a cancellation. To my shock, the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Not only did she refuse to cancel the order--despite how quickly I called--but she also proceeded to insult me by calling me "stupid" and laughing at me during the call. Her behavior was completely unacceptable and uncalled for. Additionally, despite my immediate request to cancel the order, my credit card was still charged. This feels not only unethical but also unauthorized, as I made every reasonable effort to cancel in a timely manner. read more

They used American broccoli and not the Chinese one. The fried tofu was also rather bland. Oh and I ordered Thai iced tea and it never came but they still charged me for it. So far I've only tried the vegetarian pad Thai and the fresh vegetarian rolls (that also come with shrimp option) but from that I've already fallen in love with the place.
