This is a wonderful all-vegan eatery that even meat eaters can enjoy. I have been here on several occasions now and it has been consistently good. The kids can get impossible burgers and fries, as well as some Thai and Chinese favorites. The orange "chicken" is indistinguishable from a version based on meat. In fact, all of the "chicken" dishes I have tried so far here are close to real chicken - which is good to know if your dining companions aren't vegan. I have tried, and recommend: orange chicken, the tom kah soup with tofu, the pineapple fried rice, the yellow curry, chow mein, and grilled chicken wrap. I would also recommend the Spicy Mint Salad, but ONLY if you like very spicy food - it was too hot for me, even though I usually enjoy spicy food. The place is clean but not too fancy. If every vegan place was like this I probably wouldn't miss meat that much. Well...maybe not, but this place comes so close to the real thing, I probably wouldn't have known it was vegan if it wasn't in the name of the restaurant. I can't stand vegan places that make fake meat but they all sort of look and taste the same whether it's suppose to be beef, chicken, or fish. This is definitely not one of them. This place really does a great job with fake chicken dishes. The chicken sate looks and feels just like the real thing. What I appreciate is their ability to make different texture for each type of chicken dish. The Buffalo Drumsticks actually had a crispy outer texture to mimic chicken skin and even stuck a wooden stick in the middle to make it look like a bone. For fake fish they use seaweed to mimic the skin and give it that slightly fishy smell. Pretty clever. This is mainly a vegan Thai restaurant but they also serve burgers, fries, wraps, pasta, pancakes, and other non Thai items. I stopped by twice this week with my wife and tried spring rolls, chicken sate, P.E.T. (pumpkin, eggplant, tofu), Thai salad, Fish A Le Creme, and Buffalo Drumsticks. All were pretty good but my favorites were P.E.T., chicken sate, and Buffalo Drumsticks. P.E.T. has a basil chili sauce that's found in many Thai dishes. The two drawbacks are most of the sauces tend to be on the sweet side and are not that spicy, even for the ones that are suppose to be spicy. Also the Thai iced tea isn't as strong as some of the other Thai places. But overall, it's a great place to get some vegan food that does't taste like a poor imitation of the real thing. There is parking available but is a very small parking lot that's shared with few other businesses. The noodles they use for the dish are the yellow noodles used in ramen. But if you do like curry, I suggest you give this a try! The beef in the soft Soy Beef Tacos tasted like real beef, and it was also great! It tasted as if I ordered it from a legit taco spot, but a lot less oily. Would order again if I wanted an appetizer. (She asked about 6 times within 1 minute time if we were ready to order.) We felt forced to order and we felt uncomfortable with one of the servers that kept looking at us eat. We paid cash and as we headed out the door we we're stopped half ways out the door and were humiliated in front of other customers into leaving a bigger tip for "service". If everything vegan tasted this delicious, I'd have no problem converting permanently. I was taken aback by how amazing this place was. It was unbelievable. It was a Saturday afternoon when we dropped in and this place was boomin'. The venue is small and the people were packing in one group after the other. I thought to myself "this place must be worth all 4.5 stars why all these people keep rollin up, I mean it can't be that good it is vegan!" Shhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttt! After one bite I was already sold. It was so hard to believe that none of this delicious food had absolutely 0 meat in it. Who needs meat these days when places like this exists? The service was a bit tricky at first but our waitress quickly recovered. Thank you. The menu is large with a ton of different things to choose from. They have an array of kombucha flavors and a pineapple lemonade that hits all your tastebuds at once. We decided that we make the drive all the way back to Pasadena for this place, it's definitely worth the traffic/time/gas. The only thing that I didn't like was that you have to walk through the kitchen to use the restroom. I'd rather them say there's no restroom as opposed to having every patron walk through what is an already bite-sized kitchen. There's not enough room for the workers back there and to add traffic of people walking back and forth really don't make any sense.
