We have a cabin in Ocean Park and go down at least 4 times a year and for some reason we waited this long to try Mycovios and we are kicking ourselves that we didn't try it sooner! What a gem in Ocean Park! What?! Finally we don't have to drive all the way into Long Beach for dinner! We will definitely go here every visit now. The restaurant is very small with an open kitchen which is really cool! Super friendly servers. Fresh delicious ingredients - we had the wedge salad (seriously SO good), tomato bruschetta, lasagna and thin spaghetti. All delicious!! My husband and I were looking for a new dinner place to try while vacationing in Long Beach, and we're so glad we found this place. The server was very friendly and passionate about the food. He recommended my husband had to try the pork and it was so tender. I went with the fettuccini with mushrooms and I could not get enough. Ocean Park, Washington has a diamond in the rough. This little restaurant has an amazing chef with the keen eye for presentation and especially for fine cuisine. We had a busy day and decided to order for take out. Brandy answered our call and was lovely to speak with , she told us the specials in detail . My husband whose the Pig & Plum special and I went with the traditional lasagna . We started with the appetizer special , an heirloom tomato caprese salad . The caprese was spot on , the heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and homemade pesto was a home run. The pig & plum was hearty and delicious, it was obvious that the meat , plums and vegetables had been slowly simmered to combine into a mouthwatering meal. My husband and I came here on our honeymoon and happened to stumble upon Mycovios. It was hands down the best meal we've ever had. The bruschetta with sliced beef was the perfect starter. We had bolognese and risotto. They were so flavorful without feeling heavy in any way. The panna cotta and blueberry vodka gelato was incredibly refreshing. The whole staff was inviting and kind. The old Sweet Williams gift shop has been transformed into an intimate Italian eatery. We had the BEST dinner at Mycovios. I ordered the special of the day which was a penne pasta with slow cooked pork, tomatoes and Walla Walla sweet onions and My husband ordered the New York Steak medium rare with mashed potatoes. The entrees were delicious and did not disappoint. We finished the meal off with a panna cotta topped with a cinnamon pumpkin caramel sauce which was AMAZING. We were told this place was delicious but the recommendations did not do it justice-- the food as well as the service is exceptional. We have been coming here for few months now. Each time we come to town we make a point of stopping by to eat here. Such a little gem of a place. Not something I would have expected in such a sleepy little coastal town. The food is really, really good and the service is just as good and personable. We have tried pretty much every item on the menu and they are all really good. Love coming here and will look forward to many more future visits.
