I recently visited My Eye Doctor in Oakleaf for the first time. I want to begin by saying that the optometrist was excellent. She was thorough, professional, and provided a very comprehensive eye exam. Unfortunately, that was the best part of my experience. When it came time to order my progressive lenses, the staff member fitting my glasses had me lean forward in a chair and marked the lenses with a marker. No measurements were taken, and the fit of the frames was not evaluated or adjusted. About two and a half weeks later, I returned to pick up my glasses. I immediately noticed that I could not see properly through the progressive lenses unless I lifted the glasses approximately half an inch up my face. Although the staff initially seemed skeptical, they eventually agreed that the lenses needed to be remade. After another couple of weeks, the replacement glasses arrived. Before leaving, I asked if I could test them by reading something. With apparent frustration, I was handed a piece of paper. The glasses had the exact same problem as the first pair. After reviewing the order, the staff discovered that the lenses had been reordered using the same measurements as before. The glasses were reordered again. Once again, the same employee marked the lenses with a marker without taking any actual measurements. After another wait, the new lenses were still incorrect. This time, I had to lift the glasses about a quarter of an inch to see properly. Finally, during a subsequent visit, a different optician took proper measurements using both manual markings and a camera-based measuring system, adjusted the frames, and confirmed that the previous measurements were inaccurate. After yet another reorder, and nearly two months after my original order date, I finally received a pair of glasses that worked acceptably. While I ultimately received usable glasses, the process involved nearly two months of delays, multiple appointments, and several lens remakes. The doctor who performed my eye exam was outstanding, but the optical fitting and ordering process was frustrating, time-consuming, and should have been handled much more professionally from the start. read more

They pulled my insurance and they said I was cover they rush the exam and then they said I need stronger glasses since I had coverage i said ok picked out a set of glasses then told me they to charge me for the glasses I told them my insurance would pay for the bill they then said I could the amount they were asking. So they said said they could use the frames i had and would be cover. I said ok they she said it would be 44.00 dollars +10.00 dollars which she couldn't tell me what 10.00 dollars was for so I payed the bill and waited over 2 weeks call and asked 3 times for my glasses they were rude especially a large woman. They are ripping off people in this store stay away. read more

I only went to this location because my actual eye dr was booked. Harry Weinstein was rude, inconsiderate and rough when dealing with my eyes to dilate them. My appt was scheduled for 8:50 today(6/10/25), I didn't get called to the back until 9:15. After taking the necessary test before seeing Henry, the young lady dilated my eyes minutes before Henry said my eyes were taking too long to dilate. I'm not a doctor but I'm sure it takes longer than 2-5m for eyes to dilate. Harry tried to dilate my eyes 3x but after the second attempt I said I was uncomfortable with getting them done for a 3rd time and he's not giving it time to work. We proceeded with his portion of my exam and he used his nails to open my eyes(not the tip of his thumb but the tip of his nails, near my EYES)!!! I moved his hand out of my face, told him that he's digging his nails into my skin and said I'll open my own eyes if he have to use his nails and he didn't correct me or apologize, he let me open my own eyes. He then says that I have glaucoma( which I've been told but I had my eyes checked with a specialist and they said while the pressure in my eyes are larger than the average person, I don't have glaucoma) and I told him that I don't and that a specialist said I have "abnormal" pressure in both eyes but glaucoma isn't part of the reason why. Harry tried to belittle me by saying that just because I didn't start treatment for the glaucoma in my eyes, doesn't mean that I don't have it. I told him the specialist told me that I didn't have it and he still requested my medical records which I don't care about since I know what they told me. I have never experienced anything like this at any of my prior eye appts. I've dealt with all types of drs of different backgrounds but Harry is a different breed! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It took over 2 hours for a simple exam which usually takes me maybe up to an hr to complete. I don't want to throw around the word racist as people claim it's overused but I don't know what else to describe my encounter with Harry as. He didn't acknowledge himself before doing my exam, he just started the exam. He spoke to me as if I didn't comprehend what the specialist for me possibly having glaucoma told me and he was just overall short tempered, rude and condescending - It's almost as if he didn't want to do the exam but still wanted the money. Do better HARRY WEINSTEIN!!!! read more

Outstanding Customer Service! The rubber part at each end of my eyeglasses came off. Just one did so I brought it in. Serena, greeted me and after I showed her how the plastic end would easily come off, she went to another room and fixed it. In addition, she cleaned the eyeglasses and replaced the two middle plastic pieces that go to the bridge of my nose with new ones that are clear and not green. I had an appointment, and confirmed it... but when I walked in they said it was canceled. I only came here because the location I originally go to was booked. The customer service here is terrible, the lady at the desk was being rude/ inconsiderate. We had the right to feel annoyed, and we didn't say anything rude to the lady at the desk... I don't know who they were laughing at but this place sucks and I'm glad I'll never have to come back. read more

My wife had made an appointment at 5:15 it's 6:45 now and they have locked the doors. I was sitting in my vehicle and waiting. I walked to the door and saw them look at me I waved. They ignored me, then walked over to the light switch and turned it out, so I knocked on the door, and they proceeded to hide in the dark while looking at me at the door. They opened up after I yelled "Hey I'm a customer my wife is in there!" I asked why didn't you come over to the door? I scared them, she said. It's a well lit strip mall. We are never coming back. Went for first time, my husband ordered glasses and we purchased warranty package. Short story long he got his glasses in June we went on vacation he only had his glasses two weeks and we found a chip in the frame. We came back from vacation mid July. We took the glasses in because we had the warranty picked up the glasses two weeks later now in the same area and I'm now the other lands both have chips in them to return them to have these fixed to find out that the warranty is not any good for only use one time and now to fix the problem. We either wait for the lab to see if they'll pay anything which they said they would not or we would pay up to $600 for a new set of glasses very disappointed in misrepresentation of the warranty package and that my eye doctor does not stand by their product. There is no way in 90 days that my husband's glasses should've broken not once but twice and they don't stand behind the product and want us to pay out-of-pocket now for another pair of glasses even though he's only had these glasses for 90 days never had a problem before with glassware until this time with this product at this facility, they do not stand behind what they sell very highly disappointed will not be going back. read more

I took my prescription to the office on Atlantic Boulevard in Jacksonville Fl., I knew what my policy cover, the guy that fitted me had the nerve to tell me it only covered my exam and did not pay anything for my Frames. I knew for sure it paid $250 for frames, my frames cost $180, when I got home I noticed he charged me a $9.00 Copay for my frames? He also told me not to get the top of the line varilux lenses because there was not any difference between the one below the top of the line, how can that be true? Did he get more of a commission on the lenses below the top of the line. I just felt like he was not being truthful, I should have left when he did not know what my policy covered. I used them because I do not have many providers that participate with my plan. read more

Your Kingsland Georgia location are crooks. They did a test that wasn't covered by insurance without the patient's knowledge or consent. They also charged for a specialty contact lens fitting without doing anything but taking the patient's word about the current contacts and just updated the date on the previous years prescription. Charging $165 to write a prescription without checking how the lenses actually fit or if the prescription is correct is robbery and malpractice. My family will no longer use MyEyDr. read more

I strongly see why this places has a low rating. The doctor is amazing when you actually get to see him. Today i had an appointment at 240. You would think for a regular eye visit id be out with an hour. An hour and half rolled around and I literally was not seen still. I came to the front desk to ask when Id possibly been seen I had to pick up my daughter at 415. The office manager literally smirked at me and chuckled. I brushed it off at first then she stated the doctor would be right in hes done and ready for me. So i went back to the room just to hear the doctor still working on another patient. I get being behind but being upfront and letting your patients know they would be waiting an hour and half should be a priority. Its scary that the manager could be so rude and obnoxious when I was being cordial and just asking a question. Hopefully I can find out who to connect with on this issue. I had a similar issue as Michelle B. My prescription "A" was dated from 2020. The reason for my exam was to update my glass prescription because it was losing its effectiveness. The dr specifically stated I need an stronger updated prescription. I bought pair B & C. I called to check, but was sent a link to check my status that indicates one of my two pair (B) was ready. I was so excited! I get there, one of the staff members checked my order and handed me a bag and said "thank you and reach out if I need an adjustment". My intuition told me to try my glasses on before leaving. Good thing, because I couldn't see clear on anything thing from a distance. My prescription "A" had better clarity. The staff checked her system and stated the dr wrote the same prescription from 2020. I'm annoyed and they are passive about it. No apology, no expediting, just "we will see what the dr say, have a good day". At the is point, AI might show more compassion and consideration! After paying $798 on top of what my benefit pays, I plan to take my business elsewhere. RIDICULOUS!!! read more

After working behind a computer for three years, I went to this location for my first prescription glasses (this was two years ago). We'll call these "Pair A." I moved to another side of town last year, so I went to visit another MyEyeDr location for my yearly exam (I had also noticed my distance vision was regressing). I wasn't entirely satisfied with either visit or my prescription ("Pair B"), and I remembered how much more personable Dr. Hanaa was. I made another follow-up appointment at the Oakleaf MyEyeDr and went in for a second opinion. Dr Hanaa determined my previous exam wasn't entirely accurate and that my prescription needed to be changed. I had no problem waiting a bit longer for the correct glasses ("Pair C"). While at the office, I was given a trial pair of contact lenses to try. The office manager was the one who sat with me while I attempted to put them in*. She also initiated the process to get new lenses made for Pair C. The next week, I got notice my glasses were in. I was really excited! I left work for the 20 minute drive to the Oakleaf location. When I got there, however, the lenses that were made were not for Pair B/C frames, they were made to fit my old glasses, Pair A. Inconvenient, but I still had the frames at home, so I went to get them and then drove back across town again to MyEyeDr. The manager put the lenses in the frames for Pair A; however, the lenses made my vision distorted and blurry. I was upset, but I didn't make a big deal out of it. I simply asked if it were possible for her to put a "rush order" of some sort on the lenses - I really didn't think that was an unreasonable ask. The manager seemed disgruntled by my request, and said she could not. She told me that she was sorry for the mistake, but that they would get the right lenses ordered for me and it could be up to two weeks. I left the office. Not a massive ordeal, I figured, but I had been on the road for almost an hour and a half only to get back to work empty handed that day. Just over a week later, I got a notification that my lenses for Pair C were ready. Awesome! I left work and drove to Oakleaf. The receptionist was kind, asked what I needed that day, and went to get me squared away. Then out comes the office manager. She was short with me and just generally unfriendly. I put Pair C on after she popped in the lenses. I wasn't used to progressives, so it took me a few seconds to try them on and look around. I got no reassurances from her that they would take getting used to, just a blank stare and a vibe that made me uncomfortable. I grabbed my bag, said thanks, and left. About two weeks later, give or take, I got a notification that my order had come in. Again. I wasn't sure what else was on order for me, but the notification came through text and email. It looked valid. Maybe they were doing something in lieu of good customer service? I didn't know. In retrospect, I should've dug a little deeper before driving another 40 minutes to and from. Anyway, when I got there, the nice receptionist went to look for an order for me. She came back, looked on her computer, and explained that there had been a glitch of some sort in their system and that many people had received false notifications the week prior. She apologized, and it wasn't her fault so of course I couldn't be irritated at her. But I hadn't received an email saying that there was an error on MyEyeDr's behalf... A week later (this is now halfway into June), I received another notification that my order had come in, both via text and email. I ignored it. Again, no follow-up email from MyEyeDr saying this was an error. I really don't enjoy writing negative things, but after I received yet another text notification today that my order was ready, I figured I may as well let others know about my experience. I will not be returning to this office, nor any other MyEyeDr locations. Which is unfortunate, because Dr. Hanaa was great. Most of the staff was also great. My experience with this manager and her lack of customer service skills (maybe empathy, also) was incredibly disappointing. *I later noticed she had me put contacts for my right eye in both eyes. read more

I came here today super scared about having my eyes dilated. The employee who was with me offered me another way to have that completed without having to dilate my eyes. The Dr. way very friendly, full of knowledge, and answered all my questions. The employee helping me with the frames was very kind, and very helpful to my needs. Everyone was wonderful, from check in to check out. I have no complaints. I highly recommend them to everyone. read more

Honestly this was the most uncomfortable eye exam I've ever had to endure. I've been wearing glasses/contacts for 19 years and this is the first time I couldn't wait to get out of the eye doctor office. Sometimes people don't understand that they don't only need to have the knowledge; but the people skills to interact with patients and make them comfortable. Dr. Weinstein was an ok guy but the entire staff just seemed like they were going through the motions and I did not feel welcome at all. The only reason I went here was because everything was covered by my new insurance. I will not be returning. Don't take your regular eye doctor for granted!! When you find a good one stay with them. The optometrist and her assistants are very nice and informative. The staff behind the desk are a little cold but nothing to bother me too much. The issue I had was when waiting to receive my glasses. I understand that at times orders do not come when promised but communication is very important with the customers to inform them of what is going on. Dr Hanna is amazing. Paige is also wonderful. The rest of the practice shows a level of disregard for the customers that boggles the mind. They are rude and incompentent. I spent three hours trying to get them to send me a fax. I spoke to them at 5:00, right before they closed for the day, and they assured me it would be coming. At 5:20 I called back and was sent to a call center because they had closed for the day. The supervisor at the call center was able to contact the Orange Park office and have that office send me a copy of the fax that the Oakleaf office was incappable of sending. The Orange Park office sent me the fax in under three minutes. read more

This office is by far one of the most beautiful offices my family and I have been regardless of the medical specialty of the doctor! We were here for our daughter's eye exam. The staff is very friendly. Dr. Habashi according to my wife was very nice and knowledgeable. The staff said that our daughter would need new glasses which cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $220! Yikes! We'lol get her glasses at Costco. Overall, we were very pleased, but most importantly our daughter liked Dr. Habashi, which is very important for obvious reasons. So we'll be coming back for her next appointment. read more

The office staff at the Oakleaf location were very helpful in explaining my husband's prescription.

First of all, they take UnitedHealthcare community plan(Medicaid). Second they treat you well like family. This is my second year going to them and I will return again. Prices are somewhat high for out of pocket to add stuff for my glasses (scratch resistant $100) but well worth it since I have serval pair of glasses that I go through. read more

This place is terrible, they take forever to get your glasses, get the wrong prescriptions ordered, are over priced. Took 1 month to get Costa Sunglasses then the script was wrong. The doctor and staff is nice but since they sold out to a chain store.....I put them on a fancy K-Mart level now. read more

I don't normally write reviews and this is done under a generic name because I value my privacy...... So I went to the office several weeks ago because the glasses that I received were hazy and I couldn't see through them. The door was locked and despite people being inside they would not even unlock it. This was a pain seeing that I live over 30 miles from the location and had made a special trip. I paid a premium for these glasses and they had the "warranty" or whatever it is so. I later called the office and they did replace them by mailing a new set to my home address. At that time I was told to just bring the old set to the office nothing was mentioned about an appointment. I did just that today and was greeted by a sign and a locked door once again with two people in the office. The sign said that I needed to call the number, because apparently opening the door to someone with a pair of glasses in their hands and a mask could be detrimental. Not to mention I don't have a cell phone so it is incredibly hard to call without a phone. At that time a lady arrived for her appointment and called and still no attempt was made to move toward the door despite her calling. I guess it was because dirty disgusting me was still standing there with my mask on and glasses in my hand. By this time I admit I was getting irritated and tired of standing in the sun just to hand a pair of glasses to someone and not even enter the building. I dropped the glasses and walked to my car at that time they went and opened the door. The lady behind me picked them up and I left. I will not being doing business with anything or anyone associated with this branch nor the "myeyedr" chain as a whole. This is absolutely ridiculous and blatantly rude. read more

The absolute worst! My husband, son and I went to EOO based on the reviews. The doctor I can say is great but the service is extremely slow. It has taken almost a month to get my and my son's glasses. My husband contacts were sitting in a box unopened and they were telling me they were not in. They don't call to give any updates. I have to keep calling and being hard ass to get what I paid over 500. I finally got my son's glasses but still waiting on mine. Dr. Weinstein was very nice, thorough and professional. As with most doctor offices the people who physically help you are nice but the front desk and sales people ruin the entire experience. They charged me a copay and when I checked my benefits they were not supposed to charge me. I called and spoke to a lady named Andrea and she said it was because they used the wrong coverage plan for me. My insurance company contacted them (Andrea) and they said call them back in the afternoon and it will be taken care of. I did and received nothing but attitude from Andrea to include her hanging up after telling me they will send me a check for the copay. No goodbye or have a nice day, not even a go fly a kite, just click! The lady who tried to help me with frame selection was put off because I asked for my prescription to shop around because their frames are marked way too high. Dragon frames were $270 there and about $100 less at Target. I say get your exam done here then run somewhere else to get your actual product(s). read more

I scheduled a 3:40 appointment and informed them I'm a coach with practice at 5:30. The receptionist promised no longer than an hour with a cost of 199.00. At 3:30 I arrived letting them know again about my coaching obligation. At 5:20, I had to leave due to the endless waiting game from room to room. The receptionist later called being extremely rude stating I owe them 300 dollars. Therefore if you enjoy waiting for hours from room to room, dishonest estimates, along with poor customer service this is the place for you. read more
