You must come here if looking for affordable black bean noodles yet authentic. The place is by the food court of A.R. Supermarket. We were wrong thinking portion is only good for 1 person, so we added extra noodle paying extra $3. And when the food comes, portion is actually for 5 people, LoL! There is also a combo Black Bean Noodles + Sweet & Sour Pork which I personally recommended to try. Moving forward, I know where to get delish Black Bean Noodles. read more

A new favorite for my jjajangmyeon fix- it's located inside the market with plenty of dining space and able to find some other treats too inside the flavorful food court. They're quick and everything we tried was delicious. Couldn't go wrong whichever of the rich black sauce and noodles or steamed rice options you go with. read more

Second time coming here! Brought here both times by a friend, haha. She really likes this little food court and this restaurant along with the chicken restaurant next door a lot. Got the black bean noodle dish with chopped veggies to share. The portion size is pretty freaking huge! Easily enough for two people, but we both got a little too full on chicken, and I brought back most of it to eat at home. Fairly priced and nice employees. Tables can get full during busy hours, so plan accordingly if you want to eat in! A fair amount of parking and some behind the market as well. read more

We heard the black bean noodles here were really good, so we had to check it out. This place is inside a supermarket, so make sure you don't think you're in the wrong area because the food is legit. There are plenty of seats, so it's great for a casual place to sit down and chill. The lady taking our order was super friendly, and the food came out pretty quick, maybe around 9 minutes. We ordered the black bean noodles+fried pork with sweet and sour sauce, and fried pork dumplings. The black bean noodles were delicious, just wish they were a little hotter when they came out. The fried pork was crispy, tender, and paired perfectly with the sweet and sour sauce. The dumplings were massive and tasty, with a nice crisp to the outside. A very good noodle shop!! I have been here multiple times and the food comes out hot every time. It is in a food court that's kept very clean as well as an adjoining grocery store. It is a fusion of Korean and Chinese food. They have everything from seafood noodle soups, sweet and sour pork, to fried dumplings (mandu). Give it a try and you won't be disappointed!! **** Beware **** I caught the lady red handed. After paying, something didn't seem right. So I calculated what I ordered myself and it was less than what I had paid. I asked the lady how much each item was and I showed my calculator and why my amount was different. She dug up my receipt and she said I tipped her 20% on the card machine nice try. I don't tip 20% for To Go. She claimed that I did it I was prompted on the machine and that she never touched it. BS, I called her bluff and I said I would buy something else to see if a tip option came up. But she instead quickly gave me my supposed tip back in cash. I told her that was stealing and she just shrugged. Thieves and scammers just make my blood boil. Especially when it's from your own people and when you least expect it. Very nice lady manning the shop front. I wanted to try the spicy jjajangmyeon, but I also wanted to tangsuyuk. They have a combo #5, but they couldn't make it spicy. She instead suggested I added my own chili pepper with the one they provide on the countertop. Ordered from Kyo-Dong through DoorDash and it was such a great experience, I had to leave a review. We got their black bean noodles and crispy sweet and sour pork combo and everything arrived beautifully packaged. I was honestly surprised that the pork was still crispy when it got to us, major points for that alone. The black bean noodles (jjajangmyeon) were really tasty. Since it was delivery, the noodles did clump a bit, but once I added the sauce and gave it a good mix with chopsticks, it came together perfectly. The flavor was rich and savory without being too salty, and the portion was very generous. The sweet and sour pork was a standout. The sauce was perfectly balanced--not too sweet, not too tangy and they included wood ear mushrooms and zucchini, which was unexpected but delicious. I really appreciated the extra texture and flavor it added to the dish. We ordered two combos for our family of three, and it was more than enough food. A hidden gem at a food court. A very good Chinese establishment with some Korean fusion. Their Jjajangmyeon and Japchae dishes are very good. But note that since they are noodle dishes, it needs to be eaten relatively quickly after it's made, or else the noodles will clump together. Their seafood stew dish is very good, and that dish can be taken home and eaten later since it does not quickly degrade. read more

Tried it for the first time. The jja jjang Hyun portion is big and can be shared amongst two people if you're not starving. The sauce is slightly on the sweet side but overall, it's good for a market food court. The kkang poong shrimp, however, I would not order. I took a bite of one shrimp and saw that it wasn't deveined. I tried another one and same thing. For $20, I think cleaning and prepping the shrimp before cooking it is a reasonable expectation. For this reason, I'd say any shrimp item here would be a no thank you in the future. read more

literal hidden gem. don't be fooled by the fact that this place is located inside the AR supermarket because they serve some of the most comforting and delicious meals. got the jjamppong + tangsuyuk combo and first impression, the portion size is HUGEE. can definitely be shared between two people, or by yourself if ur really hungry ;) the jjamppong had a decent mix of seafood, the noodles were nice and al dente, and it was the right amount of spice too. if u can't handle spice or just want a clean simple broth, they also offer a non spicy version/white seafood noodle soup which is still really good!! the tangsuyuk was crispy, sweet, tangy and asked for the sauce on the side which was the move bc it kept the fried pork nice and crunchy! read more

Black bean noodles have such a special place in my heart and this place absolutely slays every time. Amazing taste, great portions, and good price! Kyo-Dong is located in the food court of AR supermarket, whose plaza usually has plenty of parking. The food court has a good amount of tables for dine-in and they are all pretty clean. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. I've only gotten the food to-go, and I really like how they separate noodles from sauce when packing to prevent bloating. I really like the container itself too--super sturdy and microwavable. The spice of the spicy black bean noodles really builds up over time and can get pretty hot, but it's so delicious that I cannot stop eating. Chewy, well-cooked noodles, flavorful, thick sauce, and delicious meats, eggplants, and onions--all super well coated in the sauce--keep me going. For $12, the portion is amazing! I always have to share it or split it into two meals. Maybe one day I'll try the spicy seafood noodle soup and the fried pork with sweet and sour sauce. This is a counter style Korean restaurant located inside A.R. Supermarket. Plenty of noodles and soup options, they are mostly centered around Korean Chinese dishes, so I ordered the Jjamppong. The portion was enough for two people, and was very affordable. It came with pickled radish and they also have free water. The soup itself was flavorful and was piping hot, the seafood was fresh, and very tasty. The noodles were chewy well cooked and made for a hearty meal. There are plenty of 4 person tables and smaller tables, so you can eat before or after shopping at the supermarket. 11/30/2021 Ordered #4 - Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup (Jjampong Combo) and Fried Pork with Sweet & Sour Sauce (Tangsuyook). This hits the spot when you want Asian-style noodles and want something quick! Only a 10 minute wait for everything. I called ahead of time for pick-up, so no wait really. The number listed on this page does work! The noodles were tender and slightly chewy. Not overcooked! The noodles are pre-cooked and packaged separately, so it still tastes fresh when you add it to the spicy seafood soup. Lots of seafood including squid, mussels, and clam. Veggies including cabbage, carrots and onion. The soup is on the spicier side, but like Sriracha level spicy. Highly recommend! Btw, it's a lot for one person, so this can be shared with 2 other people! The Tangsuyook (fried pork with sweet & sour sauce) tasted decent. Unfortunately, it wasn't crispy. Great food and portion sizes are very generous! We almost always do takeouts or delivery for the convenience but sitting at the food court of Arirang market is not bad. It does get crowded during lunch and dinner hours tho so you don't guaranteed table. Make sure to specify if you want your foods spicy. Definitely would recommend this location compared to the Irvine one, great comfort food! read more

We have had Jjajamyang & crispy fried pork at Paik's noodle restaurant and was blown away by how flavorful their Jjamyang was, so last week we were craving some again and went to this food place in the AR Market. We were not impressed, the fried pork was good but their Jjamyang was so bland. Thank goodness my friend and I just shared one bowl. When I read the comments, they were up and down with the comments, some says good some says bad, so maybe depends on who's cooking?? read more

Pollock soup was hearty, clean tasting and exceeded the expectation. Dumpling soup was very rich and filled with lot of dumplings. Side dishes were delicious too. Their tofu soup is always so flavorful and high quality. Their kimchi is also some of the best that I've tried as banchan! The service is straightforward and quick.
