A local sent us towards this place, the next day we thanked him. The first thing that caught my attention was the smoky smell coming from the smoker out back. I thought, this is my kinda place. By now, I have been to Nadine's about a dozen times. I have tried the Brisket Burrito, the Pork Belly tacos, the Yukatan Chicken tacos, the Stacked Chicken enchiladas, the Brisket Chimichanga and the Chicken Tortilla soup. Most of these I have had more than once. Especially the Tortilla soup, It is by far my favorite thing to order. Absolutely,Nothing to complain about at Nadine's all the food that I had was worth 5 stars. The service is second to none. They always have ice cold local beers on tap. They also have a pretty decent wine selection the best I can tell. Nadine's isn't a huge loud place, it is warm, small and quiet. When I get back to Northern Idaho Nadine's will be the first place that I go. Don't be afraid to try Habanero salsa, it isn't that hot and tastes soooo good. read more

I think we have eaten here at least 15 times! I have never had an even mediocre meal. There is always so much flavor in every dish. We have tried everything on the menu - the fish tacos are a favorite! The bill doesn't break the bank and the staff is excellent and patient with children. Now that they have their liquor license there is even more to rave about. The fresh squeezed lime juice in the margaritas is such an excellent plus. The only negative (and it's really not) is that we almost always have to hit them early - like before 5 pm - to get seated for a larger party. Awful! We waited for 90 minutes for this place. Went thru Yelp wait list.... It's now 8pm and we had to leave because we were HUNGRY! They kept telling us that our table was "right there" and pointed to the table with 3 people just chatting away. Bill was paid, drinking water. They sat there at the table for 45 minutes. Their policy is to allow camping. There are maybe 10 tables in the place. Just infuriating. We were referred to this place and the reviews are great. First time to Rathdrum. Food is good and fresh but the space is small and crowded and stuffy. Tried to call in my order and got busy message, keep trying. So I did for 15 straight minutes call, hang up, call like trying to win concert tickets from the radio DJ. Finally drove here and though they were busy, it was obvious nobody was answering any phones so they clearly just took it off the hook. Not very professional and now I have to wait outside in thecar because it's RAINING instead of calling it in and picking up when the food is ready. I came here with my family in a bigger party of 6. They don't take reservations, so we had to wait just over an hour. The food was great and the service once we got in was good, too. The reason for 4/5 stars is that they text to ask for either indoor or outdoor but don't give a "first available" option. So, my family picked indoor. And before we could walk in to clarify we wanted first available (it's quite hard to get someone's attention when they're busy), they had reserved the table for someone else. So, we watched that empty table wait for its party of 6 until the next table became available for us. I was in the area a few times and saw this little gem on the main street. I finally had a chance to stop in for some lunch around 11:15am. The place was very inviting and I took a seat up at the bar. I was quickly greeted, given a glass of water on this hot day and a bowl of chips and salsa. The salsa was quite tasty, just the right amount of heat for those that do not have a huge tolerance. It looks like they do not have a liquor license, but they serve beer, wine, ciders, and a surprisingly good margarita in a can. It was poured over ice, with a salt rim and lime to match. I don't believe you can really tell the difference! Great options on the menu. Appetizers, small plates, a few things you can get a la carte if your not savagely hungry. I did the fish tacos which came on a flour tortilla with a very nice mango salsa mix and chipotle cream sauce. I ate both of the generous sized tacos, which is rare for me! It was that good! The fish tasted great, lightly breaded, unlike many places that has a very heavy breading and gets greasy. I was full, but didn't feel stuffed or heavy afterwards. They have a pleasantly shaded outdoor area I would recommend enjoying a cooler day dining outside. I will be back ASAP! Keep up the awesome job! read more

Holy Cow! I went here for the first time and had to go back 2 days later because of how good this food was! The first day I got the chicken enchiladas with green sauce, and the portion was big enough to share with my mom and still have leftovers. When I went back, I got the smoked brisket chimichanga. It changed my life. Once again portion was very large, and my sister and I split it. I also recommend the guacamole. Food is fast, and I'll be back as soon as I can. read more

The food hits all of the marks, a barrage of interesting flavors and textures that's very filling. Ordered the fish tacos and asked if they had something with a little extra kick. They brought me a smoked mango habanero salsa that was tangy, Smokey, savory, and, of course, a little spicy. The fish has a light and perfectly crispy breading. The meat is flaky and buttery. Topped with a pico de gallo and what I believe was cabbage. Oh my, they have my number. Great selection of domestic and local beers, and a good selection of ciders, if that's your thing. I hate to say anything negative after they did so much right, but I gotta be honest.
