My wife called in a phone order and we were told 20-25 minutes. Went down there and the person that greeted me attempted to find the order in system and was unable to. She told me the to go waitress would be back in a few minutes. About 10 minutes later another waitress asked what name it was under. She couldn't find it at first and then finally found it and said they didn't put the order in do I want her to do it now? Not even a sorry, we screwed up or anything. I said no I'll go to Westwood. Nadine's is Rathdrums, not so well kept secret! We love all that they have to offer! Generous portions, good pricing, and great service! The restaurant has limited seating (outdoor seating available during the warmer months), so we often order take-out. Their smothered burritos are huge and often make for 2 meals for me! read more

We were really excited to go to Nadine's, but they have an interesting reservation/wait system. We had been waiting about 15 minutes when a man came inside and asked to make a reservation 45 minutes later. They took his reservation and he walked out and left. We were still waiting when he returned. He was seated before us and we were told "because he had a reservation". So keep in mind, if people make a reservation while you are waiting, and a lot of time goes by, they will take the person with the reservation before you, even if you've been waiting longer. It's the weirdest system we've ever seen. Also, there's open seating at the bar, but if you're waiting outside, and the barstools open up they won't tell you about it. They'll just keep you waiting outside. So while you are waiting outside, somebody could walk up, go inside and sit at the bar immediately (this happened to us). The only way we would recommend this place is during off hours when there's no wait. read more

A local sent us towards this place, the next day we thanked him. The first thing that caught my attention was the smoky smell coming from the smoker out back. I thought, this is my kinda place. By now, I have been to Nadine's about a dozen times. I have tried the Brisket Burrito, the Pork Belly tacos, the Yukatan Chicken tacos, the Stacked Chicken enchiladas, the Brisket Chimichanga and the Chicken Tortilla soup. Most of these I have had more than once. Especially the Tortilla soup, It is by far my favorite thing to order. Absolutely,Nothing to complain about at Nadine's all the food that I had was worth 5 stars. The service is second to none. They always have ice cold local beers on tap. They also have a pretty decent wine selection the best I can tell. Nadine's isn't a huge loud place, it is warm, small and quiet. When I get back to Northern Idaho Nadine's will be the first place that I go. Don't be afraid to try Habanero salsa, it isn't that hot and tastes soooo good. read more

I've been here before so I know the food is very good. My problem is with the waiting system. I went online and signed up at 4:45. The website said to be at the restaurant by 530. We were. We were then put into another queue and waited an additional 45 minutes to be seated. So what was the reason for the original signup? I'm afraid we will have to locate another Mexican restaurant with a better reservation system. read more

I think we have eaten here at least 15 times! I have never had an even mediocre meal. There is always so much flavor in every dish. We have tried everything on the menu - the fish tacos are a favorite! The bill doesn't break the bank and the staff is excellent and patient with children. Now that they have their liquor license there is even more to rave about. The fresh squeezed lime juice in the margaritas is such an excellent plus. The only negative (and it's really not) is that we almost always have to hit them early - like before 5 pm - to get seated for a larger party. Awful! We waited for 90 minutes for this place. Went thru Yelp wait list.... It's now 8pm and we had to leave because we were HUNGRY! They kept telling us that our table was "right there" and pointed to the table with 3 people just chatting away. Bill was paid, drinking water. They sat there at the table for 45 minutes. Their policy is to allow camping. There are maybe 10 tables in the place. Just infuriating. We were referred to this place and the reviews are great. First time to Rathdrum. Food is good and fresh but the space is small and crowded and stuffy. Tried to call in my order and got busy message, keep trying. So I did for 15 straight minutes call, hang up, call like trying to win concert tickets from the radio DJ. Finally drove here and though they were busy, it was obvious nobody was answering any phones so they clearly just took it off the hook. Not very professional and now I have to wait outside in thecar because it's RAINING instead of calling it in and picking up when the food is ready. The burrito with butternut squash was tasty and smothered in green and red sauce. If you are getting the burrito make sure it is smothered and just do with both the sauces. I was in the area a few times and saw this little gem on the main street. I finally had a chance to stop in for some lunch around 11:15am. The place was very inviting and I took a seat up at the bar. I was quickly greeted, given a glass of water on this hot day and a bowl of chips and salsa. The salsa was quite tasty, just the right amount of heat for those that do not have a huge tolerance. It looks like they do not have a liquor license, but they serve beer, wine, ciders, and a surprisingly good margarita in a can. It was poured over ice, with a salt rim and lime to match. I don't believe you can really tell the difference! Great options on the menu. Appetizers, small plates, a few things you can get a la carte if your not savagely hungry. I did the fish tacos which came on a flour tortilla with a very nice mango salsa mix and chipotle cream sauce. I ate both of the generous sized tacos, which is rare for me! It was that good! The fish tasted great, lightly breaded, unlike many places that has a very heavy breading and gets greasy. I was full, but didn't feel stuffed or heavy afterwards. They have a pleasantly shaded outdoor area I would recommend enjoying a cooler day dining outside. I will be back ASAP! Keep up the awesome job! read more
