I'm glad they're out in Rathdrum or the line would be around the block! The staff is on point with everything, friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food hits all of the marks, a barrage of interesting flavors and textures that's very filling. Ordered the fish tacos and asked if they had something with a little extra kick. They brought me a smoked mango habanero salsa that was tangy, Smokey, savory, and, of course, a little spicy. The fish has a light and perfectly crispy breading. The meat is flaky and buttery. Topped with a pico de gallo and what I believe was cabbage. Oh my, they have my number. Great selection of domestic and local beers, and a good selection of ciders, if that's your thing. I hate to say anything negative after they did so much right, but I gotta be honest. Okay- no joke these taquitos are the best I've ever had. I've been to Cabo and even the authentic taquitos I had there don't compare to these. Try them! You'll be amazed. We stopped at Nadine's for early dinner about 5 weeks ago. We were seated and served an appetizer. We were told that there had been an electrical fire and they had no power. The waitress wrote our names down, telling us that we would each get a $10 credit when we returned. We finally were able to get back there yesterday and had a wonderful meal. Super cute place on Main Street area of Rathdrum. I called beforehand to ask questions on if they could accommodate allergies. Yes they could. It was late and we had been driving all day. The 3 of our 5 kids with us decided they'd stay home and mama & papa could have a date night ;). You have to make reservations as it's a small place. But cute bar and good ambiance. Now to the food. We both ordered the fish tacos. Mine on corn for gf and his on flour. Mine was also dairy free. Flavors were good. Wish there was more salt (or salt on the table) rice flour covered fish was dry & tortillas sadly fell apart. Thinking back I should've gone with a burrito bowl. Chips and salsa were good. I didn't get sick so I'm assuming they took good care to avoid cross contamination. I would like to go there when we're less tired to enjoy a good marg and give another item or 2 a go. Our waitress was nice and attentive even with a full house. I will day if you're from Colorado or anyplace that has great Mexican food this is more southwestern so heads up. read more

I came here with my family in a bigger party of 6. They don't take reservations, so we had to wait just over an hour. The food was great and the service once we got in was good, too. The reason for 4/5 stars is that they text to ask for either indoor or outdoor but don't give a "first available" option. So, my family picked indoor. And before we could walk in to clarify we wanted first available (it's quite hard to get someone's attention when they're busy), they had reserved the table for someone else. So, we watched that empty table wait for its party of 6 until the next table became available for us. My family and I have been visiting Nadine's semi-regularly ever since they opened in Rathdrum, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt, this is the BEST Mexican restaurant in the Coeur d'Alene area. Every time we go, the service is exceptional and the food is consistently delicious. It is a bit of a local gem, being tucked away on Main St. in Rathdrum, but I highly recommend Nadine's to anyone who has never been, whether they are from the area or not. They have a great team of staff that run the restaurant well with a balance of friendliness and professionalism. I've never had a bad experience - only fantastic ones! Holy Cow! I went here for the first time and had to go back 2 days later because of how good this food was! The first day I got the chicken enchiladas with green sauce, and the portion was big enough to share with my mom and still have leftovers. When I went back, I got the smoked brisket chimichanga. We also ordered a special that consisted of grilled peppers they were very good. I can't remember what they were called. I ordered the enchiladas with green sauce. The flavor was good but they were drowned in sauce, a little too much for my liking. I could have just skipped the sides of beans and rice. They were out of place compared to the other food. Beans seemed like they were out of a can and the rice really had no flavor. The others at my table enjoyed their food, but we agreed on the beans and rice. I can't say enough about this place. We started going there right around when they opened a few years back, maybe 2016? We live in the Sandpoint area and make excuses to go there. Going to the dump? Nadine's! Going to Cabela's? Nadine's! Coming home from the airport? Nadine's! The staff is always super warm,friendly and timely. It is a small space so be prepared to wait for a table on peak days/times. It's worth the wait. Take a drive on a rainy fall weekend day and have an adventure. We have tried most things in the menu.
