I was really looking forward to getting my nails done, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. I walked in, said hello, and waited about 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging me or even letting me know there would be a wait. During that time, there were two nail techs working on one customer and another tech doing a pedicure. A regular customer walked in and was immediately greeted and told to hold on. Then another customer came in with what looked like a chipped nail. An employee came out from the back, greeted that customer, discussed what she needed, and took her straight back to fix her nail--all while I was still sitting there without a single acknowledgment. I understand appointments, regular clients, and quick fixes may take priority at times, but it takes only a few seconds to acknowledge someone waiting and let them know what's going on. Feeling completely ignored is what made me decide to leave. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

Spa pedicure... My sad feet has been through so much and since it's been awhile since my last pedi I thought that it was time to give them a bit of TLC. Nadine had found this spot located in Liliha Square right beside Top Tea and with lots of free parking the shopping center provides making this impromptu visit that much easier. Ahhh the massage chair as the simplest pressure had lull me in a trance that has me at ease while the technician worked her magic and noted how my nails were is great as they need it badly. For my toes I do like glitter and as Nadine chose one that's a possibility "Strawberry Daiquiri" I'd say cheers to that color choice! Pedicure range from $30 and up and though I choose the regular color versus gel I do upgrade my services and get that extra massage and love that I've been neglecting making that me time that much better. The staff here is nice and does great services which I do appreciate and don't forget their stamp card where for each visit you receive a stamp and filled card will get you $10 off your next service. Three of us had AN APPOINTMENT at 4:30pm and was NOT SEEN ON TIME. One of us are now WAITING FOR OVER AN HOUR. Two of us had to say something to be seen close to our appointment time (20 minutes after the appointment) The shop is old. Needs to be updated as the massage chairs and water bubbles do not work. At least one of the holders for the plastic that goes in each bin are broken on each chair. Two of us opted for the Deluxe Spa Pedicure (52.00). And the other was to have a Hot Stone Pedicure (55.00). I needed to ask the person massaging if she could put more pressure. I initially thought she was rubbing the lotion in until I asked if it were the massage. Then I had to mention to her that using her nails to massage is "not a massage". It's 5:55pm - an hour and 25 minutes past the appt time! At this point what do we do?? Well they finally started to help each other to to their services. I can't get over this. We made an appointment this morning for 2 pedicures for 1:00 p.m. today. Got there early, picked out our polish, as usual. We've been coming here for years. While we're waiting, 2 other customers walk in and get seated before us. The worker comes to tell me sorry, but the other customer asked for her specifically, so we gotta wait. Hell no, that defeats the whole purpose of making an appointment and showing up on time. That was just rude and poor customer service. I will never go back to this place. read more

I was satisfied with the results of my manicure and truly appreciated the time and care the nail stylist took with my nails. It is unfortunate I will not return because of the unclean heating nail equipment that was dirty inside and out of the equipment. I mentioned my concern, and the lady dismissed it. She simply replied with: "Don't worry about it." Also, no towel was laid on the table to rest my hands on. Any debris left by shaved off nail polish from my nails laid on the table as my hand sat on it. Not sure if they sanitized the table after I left. In addition, I had my pedicure done, and again, good job done on my toe nails. BUT, noted shaved off old skin fell on the floor, and the towel was not reversed to a clean area after my toes were cleaned. The ladies are nice! read more

The service here is great! They take you in as soon as possible and seat you right away. The workers are really nice, they give you exactly what you want! I got my nails done here a few times, and I can guarantee that I will be coming back over and over because of the good job they've been doing. Came here an hour before closing to get a Gel Manicure ($30). I usually go to another salon but on a whim decided to give this salon a try since my mother in law comes here regularly. Not too big of a salon, maybe about 3-4 manicure stations and 5-6 pedicure chairs. Christy was my nail tech and was gentle and thorough. I was very indecisive as to what I should get done and Christy helped me narrow down my choice. I don't have much to complain about. She did an awesome job on my pedicure, unfortunately I didn't get her name. She massaged my legs and my feet with enough pressure and it felt so amazing! My feet were so pretty and she did so good with taking off my dead skin! Haha embarrassing but she didn't make me feel embarrassed at all. So it's been over two years since I've been a regular patron of Nail and Beauty and I wish I could give them 5 and a half or 6 stars. I've kept coming back because of the quality and professionalism of their work. I appreciate everything they've done for me and what I think I love the most about Nail and Beauty is that they spend quality time with their customers. Over the past two years, they've picked up a lot of business and their clientele has grown a lot. Needless to say, they're pretty much always busy. Although they're busy, they never rush to finish with the customer they're servicing at the moment, they still spend a good amount of time with each customer to make sure it's done right. So it's definitely a must to make an appointment just in case they can't accommodate you. I like that they prefer quality over quantity-they've had to turn away a few customers but only because they dint want to have them waiting around too long. All of the ladies there are great and I honestly don't have a preference of who does my manicures, pedicures and waxes because they are all equally very good at what they do. They also have many nail design samples on both the walls and in magazines but you can also show them a picture if the design you want and they will duplicate it or make it better. This will always be my "go-to" places for when I need me time and if for some odd reason I end up at another nail salon, they will probably have a tough time measuring up to Nail and Beauty. read more

This place is such a gem! Went here for the first time this past weekend, and if only knew how good they are, I would have came here in the beginning! For an affordable price, you get great nail quality. They're patient and pretty quiet, so your spa time is more relaxing than annoying! They have a reward stamp card, and after you accumulate 10 stamps (1 stamp per visit), you get $10 off your next visit! I got a gel mani and a basic pedi, all for $57 + $10 tip. The quality of the gel nail is great n they have more gel nail colors than most places I know on island. They're pretty quick too. Here's my experience: I don't think the lady who did my nails understood english... I went in to get my nails painted. Only painted. Instead, she gave me a full manicure. Anyways....I did enjoy the manicure, but she did spill some of the solution on me. However, she did my nails nicely. The way I wanted it. I was super excited to have such nice nails for my senior prom. The lady at the front desk (who I think owns the place) even took pictures of my nails. HOWEVER. Before my nails could become fully dry, they sent me out of the salon. As soon as I got into the car, it had already been messed up. I was NOT happy. I wasn't sure if they would have fixed it if I went back. So I just went home and fixed it myself. I like the place,it's clean, close to my house, has parking. Looking to try a new salon for a variety of reasons and chose this place. Here's what I found: Helen is the stylist and she's great! Polite and quiet, she simply did her job and a good one at that. (One of the reasons I looked for another place is my regular salon while I still enjoy them had a change in staffing so unless I get the owner, it's hit and miss) Priced right at $35 for a mani/pedi and callouse removal. (I thought that was extremely reasonable compared to other salons) Environment and condition of the salon could use some work. It's older and some of the salon chairs (if not all of the salon chairs) can use some upgrade and repair. But that became inconsequential measured to the quality of their service. The flip side to this is they do keep the place clean! Parking???? Yikes! They are located at Liliha Square and if you know that place; you'll have to agree that parking can be an issue. But this too became inconsequential measured to the quality of their service and the overall friendliness of the staff at large The bonus? I can stop for dim sum breakfast or lunch and then go for a mani/pedi making it a double value for the hassle of the parking.... A keeper and a winner in my book! read more

I found this place on Yelp, called them to ask if they accept walk-ins, then asked if they were busy b/c I needed to come in ASAP! They replied, yea, no problem! When I got there, the parking was a little crampy, & you must be patient cuz everyone there is either going to shop @ Times or eat dim sum @ the Chinese restaurant, so it's a lot of waiting for a small amount of parking stalls. I am a regular here and always got the best service from them. Unfortunately today today cuts it! The employes here are rude especially the new young one. I decided to get the spa pedicure. Before starting my service I brought over the two nail polishes that I wanted. No one told me that it would be extra. She did not apply the glitter after my first coat was dried and no one was available to help me because they were helping other clients so I did it myself after waiting 48minutes. Then they charged me $2 extra for services I did not receive since I had to do it myself. Just awesome talking in their language again and watching me as I do the finishing touch. 1. The water was way too hot which they didn't ask if temperature was okay. 2. Scrubbing was really rough I told them that it's to rough then they continued to scrub it rough again. 3. I did not enjoy the foot/leg massage 4. They talk about you and make jokes in their language instead of asking me if I wanted a towel on my lap. 5. I had to finish painting my own nails because my nail tech decided to help another customer. 6. Place is unsanitary and they share the same tools after one is completed. Your walking back and forth" I grab the nail filer and started doing my own nails, I was not tryna stay there til 9! Then their running around tryna figure out who does what. Ugh That's not even the worst part. As I was sitting doing my nails a Small Roach was crawling on my arm!!!! Wtf?? Then I flick it off and they didn't even apologize. I turn to grab my bag on the floor and I saw about two roaches crawling on the wall!!! Never again!!!! This place is not even sanitary. I LOVE this nail salon. I am VERY picky. I have learned that I cannot hold nail salons to my standards because I will always be let down. However this place is great! Each time I have visited here I get a different technician and I am never let down. Let me make this as quick and to the point as possible. They are amazing and do amazing work. I had a YELP review in the past and didn't care for the place but may be they have different owners now. I have not yet tried their nail art so I cannot review that; however, I am pretty sure that all the technicians who work on clients actually know how to do nails, unlike many other nail salons. They are thorough and shape nails so that they all look alike, since claws are SO not the in look. They are careful and fix anything that doesn't look right to them. LOVE IT!!! read more

Located in the Liliha Shopping Center, but the nail salon is facing Liliha Street, and not the same side as the Chinese Restaurant and I think Times. Parking is currently limited as they're re-paving the parking lot. When I got there I was greeted and asked what service I wanted. I said a pedicure and possibly a manicure. They did have 3 ladies getting their pedi's done, but I was seated right away. (There were 4 nail techs) I was worked on right away and had the spa pedi ($35) with French tips. The girls here are Chinese, not the typical Vietnamese, yes it's the truth, it's mostly Vietnamese people that do nails. They still talk shit, but who cares, they all do, no matter if Chinese or Vietnamese (besides these 2 Asian races are the most similar), I'm getting my nails done & I don't care lol, as log my nails are pretty, I'm ok. I've recently become addicted to getting manicures and have been going to various nail salons to find which one I like the best. I have to say, this one was pretty high in my list. I suggest you to make an appointment or at least call in first since it can get pretty busy at times, especially on weekends. I had come the day before and it was to busy so I just grabbed a brochure with the prices, left, and made an appointment for the next day at 4. The prices are pretty good, $12 for a manicure, $22 for a pedicure, and $32 for a mani pedi combo. Not much cheaper than your average nail salon, but the service is totally worth it. At almost exactly 4, a lady took me and let me sit down and choose a color and design. I liked how she was very patient with me since I've been to nail salons where they try to hurry me in choosing my design so they can get to they next customer. She suggested a few to me, and Ill admit that they have some pretty cool designs. However, I have naturally small nails so I can't get very big or complicated designs. I also play instruments that require me to have shorter nails so I can't grow them very long or get acrylic nails either. however, the lady suggested a very pretty rose design and accommodated it according to my nails so that it didn't look messy on my small nails. She took a little less than an hour for my manicure, including a massage with lotion on my hands and arms, some hot towel treatment, and a very thorough filing and buffing of my nails. While painting my nails, she was very careful in making sure no polish got on my skin and took her time painting on the roses onto my nails, which turned out very nice. I really enjoy it when my manis take a long time since I enjoy it when they pamper my hands. Also, they have a big flat screen tv on the wall in the back so I was able to watch some lifetime movies while getting my nails done. Unlike most people, I actually enjoy the silence when people do my nails since I like the calm and quiet. It was interesting to listen to they speak Cantonese (I think) to each other. Guess what? My nails cost only $23 including tax and tip! Pretty good for a manicure with 3 designs on each finger. Even though the place is a bit small and not that flashy, I still like it because of the homey feel it gives off as well as their excellent service. Will definitely be coming again! read more
