I was in downtown Mountain View at a new coffee shop/flower shop and decided why not get my nails touched up while I am out. I searched nail salons in the area and found Nail Bar which is located next to a World Market. There were a lot of aunties there busy helping other guests, but they were able to seat me rather quickly. The nail technician was really patient while she was cleaning off my old nails from Korea and we chatted and laughed when I paused in between my true crime podcasts on my headphones. (haha) She did a little sparkle nail set for me and it was sort of an elementary look, but she sure got the job done. Based on my personal experience and preference, I would not come here for the fancy Korean or Japanese style-like nails, but it is nice for a quick pop in. read more

But let's start with the place, the interior is suuppper cute like the bathroom is soo cute and where they wax is cute too, all of the employees are nice and they were quick when it came to snack services. Today was my second visit to this location of Nail Bar, and I specifically came back because of Donna. She gives the best pedicure with massage I've had for a while! My previous lady who I used for years had retired, so I have been on a quest to find someone just as amazing. I have tried a few local spots in the Mountain View area, but came back to Donna for the win! She is very personable, listens to your needs, and is very meticulous and gentle. Their online reservation system is seamless and makes it really easy. I highly recommend making a reservation especially if you're coming in on the weekends, as they were packed at opening at 9:00 a.m. on a Saturday. This is a very popular location and it's easy to understand why. All the staff is very kind. Offering a choice of water or tea is a nice touch. The chairs are very comfortable and the place looks clean and well maintained. Prices are typical for this area. I got the deluxe spa pedicure for $60. read more

My regular nail tech is out of the country for who knows how long, so instead of going to the same salon with a different nail tech, (which I tried already, but just wasn't satisfied with the work done, it lasted me less than 2 weeks before one nail chipped at the tip, and the growth of most had already starting catching my hair). Hence I decided to try out a new nail salon. This one caught my eye. The staff here were friendly, and offered me a variety of beverages before I settled down for the nail service. I'll have to say they may be pricier then my usual go to salon (for a new set with no designs). And although I plan on going back to my go to salon because of location and because of my nail tech, this salon would definitely be my back up. read more

Great!!! I have been going to this salon since I moved to the Mountain View neighborhood. Lien, the owner, always answers the phone and addresses me by my first name! I've never experienced that! Even when I haven't made it in in a couple of months. The artists here are so insanely nice it's crazy. Donna, Shawn, Hanna, Ngen, sophy, Nancy, lien, everyone!!!! All incredibly nice. Lien also never says no to me when I'm trying to squeeze in a late appointment..having 2 kids and only being able to get out sometimes.. this is huge! Each person is skilled so you don't have to worry about getting a "bad" mani or pedi, they're always great! And if you're not satisfied, they will do it again or fix it. The staff is like a family and treats you like a family member. Everyone is so nice, especially the owner Lien, she is always there and making sure everyone is happy. She even gave me cuticle oil the last time I was there to just take, so nice!!! I love Nail Bar I'd rather go without getting a mani/pedi and wait until I can go to Nail Bar vs. going somewhere else... Go here! read more

I love coming here and have been doing so consistently for about 8+ months now. They offer gel-X which is THE BEST. It looks and acts like acrylic without the hard, damaging plastic and glue. I've gotten my nails done by almost everyone here and some are more talented than others so if you want an intricate or special design just call ahead and they will accommodate you with the right nail tech. It seems they really value their customers bc they always call me by my name and even answer the phone saying "Hi Serena" which is so cute to me LOL. I don't normally write reviews. But today I had such a pleasant experience with Donna, that I wanted to acknowledge her. I have been here several times and have taken my daughter here to get her nails done when she has a special event. Today, I met with Donna. She was so kind and did my pedicure with care. She knew how to properly cut down my nails and made sure everything was even. On top of that, she gave me the most heavenly massage. It was firm and intentional how she did the massage. Because some just go through the motions and are really just rubbing lotion, but not Donna! She knows what to do. She heard I had a long work day and I think she wanted me to feel better. I recently moved to the area and was very skeptical about finding a nail salon. From the first time I walked in the door, I was greeted by friendly faces and short (almost nonexistent) wait times. Make sure you are 100% sure about what you want before coming here. I saw the wonderful designs on Yelp first and thought I could rely on the the staff to brainstorm some ideas with me. However, the staff asked me to pull out a picture of what I wanted exactly and did not have much constructive input. The staff started doing my nails and tried to do a symmetrical design for my hands, which was not exactly was shown in the photo. I asked to switch the colors for two fingers and her attitude changed immediately. She also frequently talked in a language I could not understand. I was not sure if she was taking to me or other coworkers. I asked her to clarify and she just mumbled. I couldn't tell if that was cursing or not. I understand that it was annoying to redo the colors. I felt bad too. But I would prefer more straightforward communication, which could have avoided the incidence at the beginning or made it less disturbing. Also, be prepared to spell out the tips when you make the payment. You will be asked. read more

I booked online a regular mani pedi. They took me right away at my time but only started on my pedi, I think they forgot about my manicure until like 15 minutes in. This is not a salon you come to talk with the staff they are very quiet and or my manicure girl was on the phone while doing my nails. Just not the customer service I was used to. It was not a very warm environment just a get in and get out place. Also if u get normal nail polish they don't dry your toes which was concerning as I was scared of smudging a pedicure I just spent all this money on. read more

This was my first time getting my nails done at a salon after doing nails from a friend for over a year and I had a pleasant experience. I had surgery on one of my fingers and was worried that my splint would be in the way but the nail tech Hannah said it would be fine. Hannah was so gentle and patient with all my questions. I have been coming here for about 2 years now. I always request Donna for my feet she is amazing and does a great job. For my hands I always would have Hannah do my nails, they never would break and last 3 week generally! I get both a mani and pedi on average every 3weeks with my mother. Unlike many nail salons where you are never sure who you will see, Nail Bar Mountain View is a wonderful location where you will always see Hanna.She is always my bestie. The location is always impeccably clean. Due to a variety of personal cleaning issues, I have grown to trust her to be that extra pair of eyes looking at my feet and hands. Her skills are spot on and I have never had to worry about an abrasion that could lead to infection. She is highly skilled, always professional, personable and delightful. A 5 star rating is just not enough. $160 + $10 tip = $170 total to do my nails & toes. If anybody was wondering what I got done, I got acrylics with designs by Hannah. She charged me $110 for the set. I'll add pictures for reference. Lien did my toes and she gave me a pedicure & French tip. Charged me $50. I tipped $10. Overall price I got charged for everything was $170. Lien and Hannah were extremely nice. They made small talk and are personable. They are very hardworking so the $$$ is worth giving to them. I got sat down and greeted almost immediately when I walked in and there was no wait at the time I arrived. They also offered watermelon slices and drinks to their customers which is a nice touch but I didn't want anything since I already ate and drank before coming in. I really like this place. The retention has also been amazing. My lashes stay fluffy and full longer, and I've noticed little to no stickiness/fumes during the appointment which makes the whole experience way more comfortable (my fav nap). If you have sensitive eyes or hate that burning/watery-eye feeling from traditional lash extensions, UV lashes are honestly a game changer. On top of that, everyone here is so sweet, professional, and detail-oriented. The space is clean, relaxing, and they always make sure the lashes fit the look I want. So get ready for your time there to be filled with information on their services and the consultation to make you feel like you're already buying something. It's a little pushy but their pricing seems reasonable so far and it also means they want to answer questions and help you make a decision that fits for you. The laser facial was helpful in keeping some of my acne from getting reinfected. I'm also hopeful going back will help reduce some of the scarring on my face as well. I did end up getting the middle range membership so we will see how it goes but so far I think it's a good option for people with a busy schedule who need a little extra help maintaining skin.

10/18/25 Review update…read more Business manager Ryan V. didn't contact me. It is to throw off people to think they really are following up when they don't have a care whatsoever. I contacted them twice. The second time, I asked directly for the location manager, Victoria because apparently another staff failed to relay my message. Another whatever attitude. As a customer, I didn't feel I got the whole treatment. We further talked about pulse count vs the duration of the treatment because I felt what was explained above. They were not able to release information the pulse count. They will not refund nor consider feedback regarding their unsatisfactory of treatment service. I think a lot of the time was wasted for my appointment when the main purpose customers go there is for proper treatment. Just beware, (whatever marked $) promo for their $275 signature isn't all that truthful. Definitely not world $275. Ask around other places and they will tell you it will be 15-60 minutes long treatment. Nothing shy of that.

During our consultation she was pretty much trying to "judge" whats wrong with my skin/face and wanted to upsell facials and other treatments. She was very pushy and I didnt feel comfortable continuing anymore since I felt like I wasnt being heard and she said "you cannot start the treatments without committing to facials" despite explaining that I have an actual derm I see regularly. The whole interaction just felt very uncomfortable knowing that this lady whos not a medical professional is giving medical advice?? I have gone to other medspas and I am a nurse myself so I see what she was doing. Super weird interaction, she seemed like a sales person just wanting to get commission badly..
