None of the customers were watching the game, yet the staff reacted to it as if they were at a sports bar. The constant yelling and loud outbursts became so distracting that they gave me a headache. I even put on my headphones to try to block out the noise, but then realized I shouldn't have to do that just to enjoy a manicure and pedicure. A salon should provide a calm, relaxing environment where customers can enjoy their services. These people were rude and disrespectful. This wasn't an isolated incident. On previous visits, I've also experienced staff members laughing and carrying on very loud conversations with one another during my appointments. While it's nice to see employees enjoying their work, the focus should remain on creating a pleasant, peaceful experience for customers. The one bright spot was the woman who performed my pedicure. She was kind, professional, and did an excellent job. I truly appreciated her service. I hope management will recognize that the customer experience should always come first.

I was there for a pedicure and Maya was my technician. She was very good and I was happy with the outcome. She was understanding of my request to not use pure acetone at all. I brought my own polish and polish remover. The basic pedicure was $30. Services have inflated quite a bit over the years but I think that they are in line with the current economy. I'm really disappointed with how a situation was handled by the manager, Lana. During my visit, a worker accidentally spilled nail polish on my $155 shoes (I was never upset with him since it was an accident). When I asked to discuss it, Lana took it upon herself to offer a replacement, which I appreciated at the time. She later told me to come pick up the new shoes and bring my old pair to exchange. However, when I arrived, the replacement shoes were a slightly different color than my existing one which was an issue because she insisted on giving me only one shoe because "only one was ruined." Shoes come as a pair... and I was never told I'd only receive a single, mismatched shoe. When I pointed that out, she repeated the same excuse and told me I should be grateful for the one shoe and "I made the employee buy me new shoes." She claimed I had "made" the employee pay for the replacement, which is untrue. She offered the replacement herself, and I never asked for it. Instead of taking responsibility as a business, she blamed her employee and then turned around and blamed me, going as far as calling me rude for making him buy them and bringing up his personal situation to guilt me. Overall, it was a frustrating experience. I can live without the shoes, but Lana handled this terribly. She and this nail salon are not employee or customer friendly and I absolutely will not be going back.

She did an awesome job on my hands but she did a super wonderful job on my feet. She took all my callus off perfectly. Some places are too rough and that can be a painful experience. I loved that she kept checking to see if she was doing enough. As for the place, it is super clean and relaxing. It was very well needed. Will be back when I have the chance.

My friend and I were immediately greeted and welcomed once we walked in. We wanted gel pedicures and got sat in the chairs very quickly. There was no wait! The nail techs, Bill and Cindy started working on our nails and were very nice and friendly. Bill did a wonderful job on my pedicure and made sure I had a great experience. Cindy did my friends nails and she was so kind. Inside the establishment is very clean and pretty. The massage chairs are so nice. I asked my mother-in-law if she knew a good spot for a mani/pedi I could get before the wedding. She said, "Oh I know JUST the place." Immediately when I walked in, I knew I was not in a "typical" nail salon. Main Street Nail Studio feels more like a relaxed wellness center with the vibes of a cozy café. It is spacious, warm, and comforting. Such a welcomed contrast from other salons where it can feel like a crowded factory line of sardine-packed rows of chairs. Here, I felt like I was resting in an easy chair in the corner of my own living room. Joslyn did both my pedicure and manicure. She is a pro. I asked for a light pink- but not too pink, and she pulled four different options to try. Throughout the pedicure, she told me exactly what was in each of the scrubs and explained why each treatment was being used. She spent extra time working around every corner of my toes and feet. My feet are so soft now- my toes feel like tiny pillows and my heels like they are covered in satin. The manicure was just as thorough- Joslyn worked with care on shaping my nails beautifully and painted three coats of polish with precision. I've never had a pedicure or manicure done with such attention to detail, and I've certainly never had one that looks this good a few days later. She is a true artist! Throughout the whole treatment, I enjoyed talked with Joslyn about her experiences as a woman, a mother, a teacher, a community builder, and a creative. I realize that "doing nails" is just one thing that she does- but seeing the way she does that, I know Joslyn would have glowing Yelp reviews for the rest of it, too. All in all, Marlene, Joslyn, and everyone else at Main Street Nail Studio have created a lovely, one of a kind salon environment. In a world of conveyer belt nail salons, this one is a shining gem.
