I felt so un welcomed here the lady who did my pedicure instantly got upset because I didn't want gel which I never do gel on my toe nails I let her know I'd do gel on my manicure I then explained to her I wanted a French tip with color and she said she couldn't do it because it's not gel I've done it many times at other salons with out a problem. So I told her it was fine to not do any color at all I didn't want to trouble her more than she already made me feel. Then the lady who did my manicure tried to translate to the pedicure lady what I wanted and she still said no then the manicure lady and pedicure lady started to talk in their language that I obviously don't understand and it seemed they were talking about me which made me feel more uncomfortable and more unwelcome my manicurist also seemed bothered and after already saying yes to my design not until much later she says to me "you know that cost extra right" in such a rude condescending tone obviously I know that, but wow what a rude way to provide information on my service and to mention that in the middle of my manicure was lack of professionalism. So I also let her know to not put a color because why do I want to spend more money at a place that makes me feel like they don't value my business. I had my daughter with me and a different lady did her pedicure she was warm sweet and caring I made sure to tip her very well because she deserved it. I will not be coming back here what a terrible experience for a first time. read more

I visited Nail Sketch at the end of last year and have experienced ongoing health issues with my nails ever since. During my visit, they insisted on a paraffin treatment, which was extremely hot--so much so that I was concerned. They assured me it was safe, but I later heard that the salon reuses their paraffin, which is deeply unsanitary. Shortly after, my cuticles became inflamed and my nails began to deteriorate. Eventually, several nails fell off entirely. To this day, I suffer from weakened nails, nail bed hemorrhaging, and persistent dryness. I've been under medical care and now rely on daily treatments and specialized products just to manage the damage. When I tried to express my concerns to the salon, they brushed it off and claimed it was an "old person reaction"--which is both inaccurate and offensive. I have since seen multiple doctors who confirmed this was not a natural reaction but likely the result of unsanitary or harmful salon practices. I have not stepped into another salon since, and I remain deeply skeptical of the misinformation some salons give to clients and their complete lack of accountability when harm is done. Consumers, please be vigilant. What seems like a relaxing beauty treatment can quickly turn into a painful and long-term medical issue. read more

This review is solely for my full set They look horrible. The first lady that was applying the acrylic didn't apply it close to my cuticle and left a good amount of space. It looked like I needed a fill. I told her I didn't like it and I wanted it to be closer to the cuticle and not look like I needed a fill. Next lady was the manager Layla i wanna say came over heard me out and said she'd fix it because she seen what I was talking about... when she took over her take over was equally as bad. I went through 2 nail techs before I just gave up. I let them paint and I left. I don't live in the area and I always come here for pedicures. So I figured why not give the full set a try but never again. Every time I've come they've been pretty dead and now I see why. Advanced education is needed and it shows. After an early morning walk at Mile Square Park with my girlfriends and had lunch at Brodard for some delicious spring rolls! My girlfriend and I decided to look up a nail salons close by to get our pedi care done and we came across this place in Fountain Valley where Sam's Club & Yogurt Land located at. Around the plaza, there are other stores as well. The parking spaces are big. Inside we were greeted by the store owner or the manager store Layla and she was very warm welcoming us. It felt cozy here and the place is under new management. Inside look clean. When you checked in to Yelp, you get 10% discount on the full service which is a plus! The person who did my Pedicure was Jenny and she quick but careful. I wanted something bright so I chose a hot pink #83 and I love my color. The service I chose was classic pedicure which all I just needed. My feet felt clean and fresh. The massage spa chair has a remote control where you can adjust to your like. All the equipments are brand new and the place has been remolded as well. The lady next to my girlfriend who did her pedicure, Tina was friendly and engaged all conversations with us throughout the service. It was nice to met a friendly people and positive environment. Their service are great and overall we loved our toe nails colors! We definitely recommend this place and will be back soon for other services they have for their customers. read more

I've been here because it's close to my house. For my manicure she asks me what shape I want and I said square. She said "your nails are round you can't do square." I asked her to try round-square. Whatever. they looked cute in the end. Separate visit Oct 2 2023. Different manicurist. For my manicure, per usual she asked me what shape I wanted and I said almond. She said "your nails are too wide for almond" I said "can you make it narrow. " and showed her with my other hand where to file the nail. Today I give a try to this nail salon for the first time and this is my last time as well. Lily and Nancy were doing my nails well and I have nothing to complain about them.but I had very bad experience there and not gonna come back ever. A nail lady name Layla was doing her customer nails and body shaming me. she said that I am fat . even her customer said that she is mean and after that another lady (customer) said she doesn't know what she said.and the other nail lady(idk what is her name is) explain to her customer using hands gestures indicating my cheeks were fat while staring at me . after that this lady it again a couple times. not along time after that someone said 'she is relaxing" and Layla said she is hungry that why she is watching the food video right now. and again the one lady that idk whats her name is stare at me again. It feels like I am going there and not paying the service when I paid full price and still give a tips for my nail lady because they don't do anything wrong to me. We barely know each other why would its matter to you I am fat or I am watching a food video. and also when I walked in its weird how its so empty too in there and now I got it why. I left for my SoCal/Vegas trip with no time to get my pedi in PDX, so that had to be rectified. Quick Yelp search led me to Nail Sketch. Not going to lie, I was drawn to them for the check in discount, but they were also the only place available immediately. Quick note: they no longer honor the check in discount and said Yelp won't remove it. Tina was my nail tech and she was great. Super friendly and was not pushy on upselling me on services. I got the $35 pedi which included callous removal and 7 minute massage. She was detailed and took her time. My foot hasn't felt this alive in a long time. It's so soft and smooth. She did a great job with excess skin removal and finished with a nice paint job. My mom who came just to accompany me saw how good of a job Tina did, she decided to get a pedi right after me. That says a lot because she had her toes done before we left for our trip! Everyone was friendly and no hater vibe in there.
