In the past, I paid $50 for terrible service, but here they go BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL work and treat you like royalty. Let me break it down for you. First you are greeted by friendly staff who welcome you and DO NOT RUSH you to sit and place your order. Instead, Nail Studio cares about the service and overall ambiance. They want you to feel relaxed, comfortable, and happy with the overall result of your nails. This nail studio is CLEAN. They care about service and ensure a guaranteed satisfactory result or they will make every effort to please you. To top it off the price you are paying is very, very reasonable especially for the area. It's a place I can honestly say I look forward to going to whether it's to unwind or to simply update my nails. Best. Salon. Ever. Going to any other salon in the area would be a mistake for sure. The place and tools are clean, the customer service is unparalleled, and their work is fabulous. The last gel manicure I had there lasted a MONTH! not a single chip. She even had to soak my nails twice to get the gel off! They have great color selection, but I would suggest going with Essie or OPI gel polish...they are high quality and always last longer for me. However, because they're so good, Nail Studio is usually pretty busy. It is definitely a good idea to make an appointment first, or at least call to check if they are taking walk-ins before you go. I have had a positive experience with every technician who has done my nails, but if he is available, Hai is amazing! Always super friendly and does a quality job. Love this place! read more

Hai is amazing, he did my nails for my bridal shower and my wedding last year, always impeccable, plus he's a lot of fun. My favorite nail salon. I usually go to Hai or Nancy. They are the best ever. They increased their prices due to COVID though.

I have frequented this salon multiple times due to its location to my home and each time I ask myself why do I come back and what is all the hype?! Yes, they are a step up from the nail salons in tenley town but unfortunately they just do not deliver consistent service. The manager owner is really nice and accommodating but his staffs lack of attention to details (rough edges, shoddy color etc) and condescending attitude aren't appreciated. I was excited to try this salon because it is walking distance from my house. I could not be happier! This place is wonderful on so many levels. I find myself somewhat of a spa connoisseur; I have had manicures & pedicures in every major city from high end spas to small nail salons. I can promise you that they will ensure you receive exactally what you want. I love that the owners are a very experienced Mom & son team, (how cute is that). There customer service is unparalleled & their product line is vast as well as top of the line. Here are the following reasons I LOVE this place: 1. As mentioned before CUSTOMER SERVICE, I can always walk in & receive the best service with a beverage. Parking is difficult here, I have seen Hai the owner run to custmers' meters to put money in to ensure they won't receive a ticket. 2. CLEANINESS: this by far is the cleanest small nail salon unlike the production lines I have experienced in the past. 3. EQUIPMENT: not only are they brand new their mostly all top of the line, their solar lamps for gel manicures are specialized so you don't have to protect your hands from the additional and frequent UV ray exposure. 4: PRODUCTS: I go for gel manicures & pedis, always receiving the best service & products. My gel manicures have lasted for 3 weeks! They offer a free repair if one chips or if I don't like the color. They have Gellish, OPI, Essie, & shallac, I have not been to any salon that has had that much variety (I find that specific brands work better & last longer on my nails) Overall, give them a try, they aim to please & I love supporting a business who actually take pride with the service they provide. I would not go to another place, I've tried several in the area. I can't fathom the reason why the other reviewer would give 1 star if it's that specific product try another brand they're more than willing to accommodate. I use Gellish & it works for me. You can't expect 100% perfection all the time. There should always be an allotment for minor issues. The important factor is that they want to strive for perfection. read more

This salon is clean and pleasant, and most importantly, it has the best nail techs in the area. I got a gel manicure recently and two and a half weeks later it's still going strong- no chipping or peeling at all. I have been here 3 times and I love the place specialy Hai C. And his mom!!! I went a few weeks ago for a fill because I was going out of town and I wanted to make sure it lasted Hai suggested that I get gel, so I did and it did!!! Last night I went again for it because I love the fact that I don't have to worry about my nails messing up, specially at work when I am in a computer all day. I went in with my mom and sister to get our nails done for my sister's birthday party. They took us in at 7 and didn't leave until we were all satisfied with the results! They stayed with us until 9:30- and hour and a half after their closing time!! They didn't even show one sign of annoyance! I had the pleasure of working with Melody and Hai. I came here as a walk-in to get a pedicure, and it was wonderful. I was immediately greeted and offered a drink, and within two minutes I was in the chair. I didn't get the name of the woman who did my pedicure for me, but she was great and did a fantastic job. Also very nice and fun to talk to. I would love to come back here if I am in the area again. The price was great too - I was surprised at how low it was, especially considering how great the service was. Update: I went back in August, when I was in the area again, and had another great experience. I had a manicure with the owner, and towards the end of it, my parking meter was about to expire, and he ran out to my car with some quarters to buy me some more time! read more

This place is AWESOME! My bf and I visited on 4/22/17 for our anniversary on the spur of the moment (after reading Yelp reviews), and it was the best decision ever! We were greeted by two pleasant women who immediately got us settled in for pedicures. Well, my boyfriend was seated, but it took me a little bit of time to decide on a color. Fortunately, everyone was patient, and they offered me a beverage while they patiently waited for me. We opted for the $50 pedicure treatment, and my experience was one of the best I've ever had. I can't speak for my boyfriend, but I think he enjoyed himself although he's the quiet type. Truth be told, his nail tech performed nothing short of a miracle on those talons he calls feet. LOL My nail tech, Hai (I promised him I'd remember his name, but I think I broke that promise because I have the worst memory when it comes to names. Sorry, "Hai" but you know to whom I'm referring!) made my entire experience worthwhile. We had the greatest conversation about pretty much everything from football (He's a Cowboys fan-- good choice!) to how my boyfriend and I met, and he even caught on to (what my boyfriend calls) my pinball moments. That made my boyfriend burst out in laughter. Hai was so skilled that he could even tell that I was dehydrated and needed to increase my water consumption. He explained the reflexology of my feet. I was impressed. He was also very funny. I'm normally the type who prefers to sleep when I'm in the chair (until it's time for the pumice stone which drives me into tickled fits), but the conversation was that good, and he did an excellent job on my feet. Went here because of the reviews, but left HIGHLY disappointed. Came here for my birthday and wanted something special, which they stated would be no problem at the door. Owner appeared to be super friendly, but once I was handed over to a tech...it was a different story. As soon as I was handed to her, I felt rushed. She huffed and puffed as I was picking a nail color and stared at me until I chose something. To try to make a long story short, she was very rude and even had the nerve to say "You must not clean your house or work" because I have long nails. I immediately corrected her, but she just looked surprised. When I followed up about the designs during my pedi for my nails she stated "ill see if someone else will be available, I don't do designs...I don't make enough to do that". She then kept insisting to at least paint my nails and we will discuss designs after. When I showed the design after, she then stated "oh, that should have been done before I started painting...I cannot do that" Which I knew that...which is why I kept bringing it up beforehand. I made it clear I was displeased, but no one bothered to fix the mistakes. Instead they told me just to come back again to get what I really wanted. (& waste another $70? no thanks) I left this place with no designs and a bad manicure and a rushed pedicure. Between the paint job, bubbles left in my nails, and her attitude, it literally may be the worst nail experience I've ever had (& I've been getting my nails done for over 15 yrs). This place recently opened on the stretch of Old Georgetown that already has two nail salons. I decided to give it a try since it is nice and new and clean. Good decision-- the lady who owns the place did my pedicure, and she did a great job. She is super nice and we chatted about what she had to do to get the permits to turn the place into a salon (it used to be a thrift store or something). She said they had to install a ton of ventilation, and then I realized the big difference-- the place has NO chemical/solvent smell at all which I really appreciate. Anyway, they have 4 pedi chairs (apparently regulations require new salons to have a lot of room between the chairs because they are quite spacious) and a bunch of mani stations. Very disappointed with my visit. I scheduled an appointment but I still had to wait for 30minutes and they moved me around to different table. I asked for almond shape nails but I got square instead. I am leaving this review after observing the business for quiet sometime. The business is certainly up to the mark of the neighborhood, but the owner does not treat all customers the same way and makes no effort to hide it [undebatable]. Her nonverbals speak out loud enough. She does not like her staff to go the extra step for me as if her business would do fairly well without my patronage. Once a staff had to fight with her to give me a nice service. Hai(owner's son), Anna, Lisa, and all other staffs are wonderful! The staff [Hai's business wife, they jokingly refer to her] who did my men-pedi the first time I went to the Nail Studio has a soul of a devil. I felt like near crying and had no idea why did I even tip her!! I've tried here a few times over the years and thought I'd try again after not keeping up with my nails for a while. I hate not giving good reviews, but I rely on other's reviews and the not so great ones are just as valuable to me so I'm writing. I had Hai and had a manicure first using the dip process because I had three split nails and the second time a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. Both times he had clients after me and and the first time had one before me and worked with them at the same time as working with me. The second time he was so rushed he forgot to remove the oil from my nails and they started bubbling and peaking off on day three. When I'm spending $100 with tip, I do not enjoy feeling like an inconvenience. I returned to have him fix the improper gel application and another technician had to as he was busy. She was not happy with having to redo my nails and didn't hesitate to let me know it. And, on top of it, instead of soaking the rest of the polish off, they dug and peeled them off which seemed to take some of my nail bed too. This new one lasted longer but the application was rushed and covered parts of my cuticles and fingers so they started chipping after a week. I've done gels before and they've lasted so long and were so great - so it's not my nails. If I hadn't been pushed out the door both times, and if they were apologetic about wasting MY time, I would give them another chance because things happen. But three chances without improvement was enough for me. I've tried three other salons in Bethesda and haven't been happy with any of them. I decided to look for a technician rather than a salon. I think I found her! I went today and she was a dream and took her time and was very particular. She spent 1.5 hours on my nails and fixed a split nail using a different, stronger technique. Moving here from Miami, I am glad to be able to find a nail place that I can make my "go-to". Both times I've been here, the owner has always greeted me very kindly. I am offered water and soda (hooray diet coke) and the banter with the other techs has always been fun in my experience. The salon is very clean and both nail techs I've worked with have done a great job on my pedicure. Keep in mind that while you can tip on your credit card, they prefer cash tips. read more

I also liked how they weren't overly rough with the pumice stone (my feet are sensitive). Best nail salon in Bethesda!! I get my gel manicures with Linda and Kimmie. Hai has done my nails as well. I've gotten a pedicure by Kimmie. They're all really good. They make you feel at home.
