I didn't get cut so that's the good part but the polishing part def could have been better. The woman who took care of me was very sweet though. I was excited about this place opening in Folsom and decided to give it a try. I didn't make an appointment and was able to walk in. I got a pedicure, which was fantastic. It was taking a while to get my mani after my pedi so I decided to just book online and come back another day. I appreciated them trying to get me in but I think it might be best to book an appointment, which is understandable. I did book online for the next day. The online booking system was easy to navigate. When I arrived I was seated after a few minutes. Amy did my gel mani and she was great! She really paid attention to details. What I really do love about this place is the cleanliness and the customer service. They really go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of which I appreciate. Let's face it, getting our nails done these days is not cheap. I've had my share of nail salons that cost the same but the experience falls short. First (and last) visit to Nails 19 in Folsom. Very pretty salon, friendly receptionist. Appointment for regular pedicure with Henry. All went well during the pedicure except when he was trimming my Left 4th toe, I felt a sharp pain. Interesting that Henry didn't say anything at all like "sorry" even though he must have seen that he cut me! I, obviously, couldn't see the cut from my vantage point and, in fact, didn't realize I had been cut until I got home and looked at my nail & saw blood oozing around the side. I called and relayed this to Amy the manager who said she was sorry and would speak to Henry about it. Kinda thought she might offer my money back or some other kind of compensation. I shared this with my daughter, a salon manager in Denver who was horrified. Said this should NEVER happen with a reputable salon. She is concerned about infection and so am I. read more

Today was my first time here. I booked an appointment online. It was super easy and convenient. I booked a kids gel pedicure and a deluxe gel pedicure for me. Staff is super nice. Tina was great with my daughter and made her laugh and feel comfortable. Her princess chair was perfect size, she's 6! I had Alina and she was friendly and did a good job. Although I found after the service (they are short staffed upfront so I totally understand) you can get free drink and snacks during service. I had a mimosa and my daughter smacked on chips. The receptionist (blonde hair) I forgot her name. She was extremely friendly and explained normally how check in works and she apologized a few times for being short staffed up front. I will be back. I thanked her for being the director of first impressions because it truly shaped our entire experience from start to finish. My technician, Tom, is now my go-to person for dip nails. Tom is attentive to detail, patient, and very thorough. Im sure everyone has had at least one poor experience with a nail technician. This shop is basically a sweat shop for the poor employees that provide service. Clearly there are problems at the top. When you first walk in, it looks nice but there's a time pressure. The person who took care of me didn't give me enough time to even look at the colors that I wanted. When I did pick a color, of course it was out of stock. The person who took care of me seem like she was rushed. Not a great experience I wouldn't recommend it. When I left one of my nails did not have the top layer applied. So I had to go back and get that done. In general, it seems like they are doing you a favor. The table was dirty, the towel was stained, and the cart that the individual used was disheveled and look like it never been cleaned. You pay almost $50 for the service along with a tip. Been there a handful of times. Nicely kept salon, clean bathrooms that's a plus. I usually get both a manicure and pedicure. The pedicures needs improvement. They practice improper sterilization techniques. The individual that brought his tools over brought his tools in the sterilization pouch but it should've been sealed which meant that NONE of his tools were sterile. They say they scare about preventing infection but they're trying to fool the public with bringing tools over in plastic pouches. This is going to becoming a breeding ground for infections if they don't sterilize their tools before use. I will not be coming back. read more

The prices are high. Plain and simple. They're really not doing anything spectacular regarding the service. I did appreciate that complimentary drinks (including booze) and snacks were offered. It's a nice girls day place. But I dont know if id switch to this as my regular place. I usually just get a gel mani-pedi so I can't justify paying $20+ more for the same service at another shop that does a great job. That being said, it's a nice shop. Nails 19 is a scam. i went their for a full set with french tip . i called for a quote and they said it would run me 75-80 dollars. i went in and got just that for my little sister. i believe they saw my sister and thought they would be able to take a little more money. after a BASIC french tip set it costed me 115 without tip thats a wild difference from 75-80. they prey on young children and scam them. read more
