This review is long overdue about 2 weeks when I got my nails done by Linda. BTW after 2 weeks they still look fresh & flawless! I found this place after a recommendation from a friend. I wanted to have a pretty design I found online and was looking for someone to 'nail' it at a reasonable price. Nails by Long was the place for the job! Linda was very sweet and extremely friendly and TALENTED. She did an amazing job, with great recommendations on my indecisions of color and design. I've had so many people and other nail stylists compliment my amazing nail job. They have a good selection of colors and even mood polish, which I'm IN LOVE with! I come here pretty often & I keep coming back purely for the fact that they always get my nails done just right! I always try to come during a week day in the morning since they can get really busy. My favorite nail lady is April. I highly recommend to make an appt with her ahead of time. Usually she's booked all day long. But she's the best when it comes to creating these nail designs I have in my head. It's always a plus that she can remember most of the stories & keep up with my life drama. Haha. Anywho, I've been to other places but the one thing that keeps me coming is the fact that my nails never lift & my biggest pet peeve is when I wash my hair & it gets under my nails. Gave it a one star because I can't put a zero star. I came in because my natural nail had chipped from the side and needed to get acrylic to cover the chipped part of my nail. Waited more than 40 min for ONE NAIL. They also let another person ahead of me who DID NOT have an appointment. After finally being attended I got the acrylic over my natural nail and left mad because when she painted my nail it was full of streaks and uneven. After telling her this she got mad and did not try to correct her mistake instead she told me it has steaks because she put acrylic despiste the nail polish being gel. I was a little skeptical about going because of where the shop was located but ended up having a pleasant visit here for the first time. Fill with gel color and gold flakes, & French tip pedicure all for $47 ! I call that a deal. Nails were done by Tammy. She did such a great job. She's a little quiet but it's because she's focusing on your nails. The manage was very lovely and sweet. Greeted me at the door and was very interactive with the ladies in the shop. Only complaint I can say was it was a little messy inside. I came on labor day thinking they would be closed but thank the lord they were open. If you don't mind the random and ghetto loud people, this place is awesome and super cheap. A regular pedicure is like $12. I don't remember how much a spa pedicure is. They also have the best designs (I am not a fan of the usual dot flowers). If you decide to go for pedicures, Tina and April are the best. There is another lady there, but everytime she did my nails I got infections (plus her pedicures aren't that great). I've also gotten acrylic nails here before, but I did not really like them because they were too thick. They accept credit cards, but there is like a 50 cent charge. So bring cash. :) read more

I used to come here when I wanted to get my nails done for a cheaper price. It's an alright salon, not the cleanest and nothing special about it, then I decided to go to another salon, when I returned to Nails by Long to get my acrylics taken off from the previous salon, I was appalled... I didn't expect to leave the salon with nice nails, I'm fully aware of how damaging acrylics are, but I was left with uneven nails, blood, and a lot of pain. I don't know the name of the lady that attended me, but she did a horrible job, she kept hurting me, I was often making faces and repeatedly saying "Ow! This hurts!", then I asked if there were any other ways that she could remove the acrylics without using another fake nail to scrape off the acrylics, she looked up at me, mumbled non-sense, and when I asked her to repeat herself she ignored me and I had to endure the rest of my visit in pain. She cut into my skin with nail clippers, filed my skin instead of my nails, and used the drill machine (I'm not sure what the proper name is) on my skin as well. On top of this already painful experience, another pain was the fact that children were running around, dancing around, and screaming/crying, it felt like I was at a daycare. I was better off removing my acrylic nails at home. I'm never coming back. read more

Yeeeesssss, this place is GREAT!. I come here probably twice a month or so to get my manicure with acrylic's ($20-$30), of course, lol, since I wasn't blessed with pretty long finger nails. The ladies are nice, yet always doing their thing speaking their native language, and there is always something interesting going on while I'm there, not very professional but still doesn't bore the crap out of me while I'm around. For instance, how my nail lady (whatever they're called) had dropped and broke a black nail polish and splattered all over herself, boy was that sad. The wait though is ridiculous, (my longest wait was nearly 1.30 hours, but worth the price) so many women and men like to come here for the cheap prices, I can't remember how many times I've had to stand outside for my butt to get in that door. But can't complain, been to other salon's similar to this as well. Pedicure's ? haven't tried them yet, kind of iffy on people touching my feet still, but I've seen ladies get their feet done and fall asleep right on the spa treatment. I get my nails done by the guy in the corner every time I go he always takes care of me even when he knows some nails needs to be taken off and replaced he does it and doesn't even charge me I'll always come out paying less than $40 for a fill a pedi with callus remove and my eyebrows the callus remover is amazing and my nails always last 3 weeks they don't ever fall off its just he puts a treatment on my nails to make them grow. read more

This salon is not sanitary or professional. I have come here many times. I have also been to many other salons for my nails and toes. Sometimes my appointments are honored and sometimes they are not. THEY GAVE ME NAIL FUNGUS AT THIS SALON!! Also, on busy days they rush you through to get to the next client. I can paint my nails at home. I go to a salon for a real pedicure, which is generally not provided here unless the know you are a big tipper. I got my nails done here twice a full set coffin shape and both times I liked how they came out. I also enjoyed getting a pedicure here in the spa chairs. I recommend getting gel because it last way longer. I didn't so much like how my nails came out when I got a fill they didn't look as natural as usual. When I took the nails off my natural nails were in a bit worse condition than usual. I'm assuming because I came an hour and a half before closing the woman who did my fill was tired, but then again there's really no excuse for half-assing. I'd say if you're going to come here make sure it's in the day time while everyone is in high spirits and energy. Monica does nails great.
