On multiple occasions, I've arrived for scheduled appointments and still waited 15 minutes or longer to be seen. This past weekend, I visited again after receiving a gift card for a pedicure. During my appointment, the nail technician repeatedly pressured me to upgrade to a more expensive pedicure, although I chose the $65 option. While receiving the pedicure, I also noticed the floors appeared dirty. During the service, the technician told me I had an ingrown toenail and proceeded to dig into my big toe. Unfortunately, I woke up today with significant swelling, redness, and what appears to be an infection. I am now going to urgent care to receive antibiotics because the pain is severe. I believe this may be related to poor sanitation and cleanliness practices at the salon.

I have been going to the same nail salon for a few years. I was getting powder done, as it would last a few weeks. My job is hard on my nails, so the powder was the only thing that lasted. I decided to just try this salon to see what services they offered and how they were. It's much closer to where I live than the salon I had been going to. I told them about my thinning nails, they told me that the other salon had been over filing my nails and that that was why they were thinning. They offered to do a gel with a calcium base to help rebuild my nail bed and help strengthen them. Gel never lasts on my nails for more than a day or two. I agreed to try it. They told me that if it broke or chipped, to just come back in and they would fix it. Well, it lasted for three weeks. At the three week mark, I went back in to have it changed. It hadn't broken or chipped, it was just the nail growth that made me decide to go in. The place is clean, tidy and the staff were great. Fantastic experience.

Even something so simple! It had little bubbles in the polish, my nails have sharp parts, and it seems that there weren't 2 coats applied because it quickly became matte in several spots. At the end she even asked "do you want a massage or no?" when my nails were drying and it seemed like she just wanted me to say "no". I said yes please and she promptly put a 2 min timer in front of my face and gave a weak lackluster massage that said without saying "I'm done here". It seemed that a lot of regulars came in, and perhaps other technicians are friendlier and more detailed oriented, but unfortunately that was not my experience.
