Banchan, sides (gochujang soy beans & noodles and cheesy noodles), and sauces
    Tania Z.

Interior is low lit while cozy. Greeted as soon as we walked in then waited a while to be sat although there weren't many patrons. Opted to try the ayce bbq. Decided on signature because we wanted some of the seafood. After the waitress set up our kiosk for the signature option she pointed out seafood was only available to parties of 4 or more. Tried some ribeye, ribs, pork belly, and intestines. Everything was good quality and went well with the provided banchan and sauces. Server forgot to bring the seasoned sesame oil which we like with our bbq), we asked and were given small amounts.. Soondubu was ok, very standard. Favorite was the dipping doenjang, gochujang soy sprouts with noodles, and potato pancake (all extras we didn't order).

Clean, spacious, and modern KBBQ spot with a great selection of quality meats for the grill. Everything we ordered was tasty, but the real standouts for me were the beef rib soup and the cheesy corn -- both were packed with flavor and honestly worth coming back for alone. Pricing was also surprisingly affordable for KBBQ, especially considering the portion sizes and meat quality. Definitely feels like a solid value. That said, the service was pretty much nonexistent. Everything runs through a tablet system, so if you need water refills, extra banchan, or anything else, you'll have to request it yourself and still wait awhile. There was very little proactiveness or hospitality from the staff throughout the meal. Overall, come for the food and value, not for the service experience.

Between the 4 of us and what we got I thought the prices were beyond reasonable. We got a combo, and many bottles of soju and beer as well. The side dishes were amazing, and better quality than what you usually get at KBBQ in the area. We got luckily and got seated pretty quickly on a Saturday happy hour time, and parking was super easy to find. Had a blast drinking/eating with the girlfriends.

Quite surprised to see Namdo having a relatively low rating here on Yelp - I had a great experience dining here. I came with a large party of 10 on a Saturday evening, in which we were split into two tables. We came during happy hour, so we opted to get the happy hour special, which consisted of 4 types of different meat IIRC (pork belly, brisket, bone in short rib, and something else?) and some sides. We also got some appetizers like fried chicken. Food was delicious, well past my expectations. You do have to grill your own meat, but everything is marinated and seasoned well. I would say the thing that puts Namdo apart from other KBBQ joints is their side dish selection. They had a great variety of stuff like yukhoe, tofu, some spicy noodle dish. Everything was super yummy and the staff was very nice in helping us refill side dishes frequently.

We walked into a 8pm & after HH, so we got lucky with a cheaper combo for grilling. You're first greeted with a beef soup which was great on a cold night. The meats were good quality, but we were most impressed with all the variety of side dishes that come with the combo. They are not your typical sides. While they were ok and not great, it was still different with good presentation. They are definitely trying! We kept saying, "How are they able to make money with all this food?" They are really generous with the amount of meat and dishes. Maybe because we came without any expectations and the HH surprise pricing, my friends and I all said we'd return with our families. I hope they do well!

Our party was excited to try a new Korean BBQ in Bothell. If looks and presentation were worthy categories for a 5 star review, I think Namdo would deserve it. Unfortunately, the dining experience fell short of expectations. Heres why: We ordered the Namdo Special (Regular, $159) which comes with premium banchan (side dishes) included. The banchan exceeded expectations! Some noteworthy side dishes were the beef tartar, fried potato pancake, and pickles sampler. The meat quality was above average with again excellent presentation. The brisket, ribeye, short rib all come unseasoned, so dipping into sesame oil, salt, soybean paste, and their house sauce is a must. For a family of 4 ordering the regular special set, the total price after tip and tax is $200. For an establishment that presents itself as a unique and higher-end KBBQ restaurant, $200 does not include the staff changing the grill or cooking the meats. It is expected to cook your own meats at lower-end KBBQ or at AYCE. For this set menu, we expected more staff service to pair with the presentation of the meal. Our party left with our bellies full and content with visiting. However, at this price point we expected higher quality service, noting they are running understaffed and reminders were necessary to clear plates, items to be brought to the table, and to check in on how we were doing. I think others would agree that Namdo has areas to improve in for the level of service, execution of dining experience, especially for the volume of food offered at this price point. We do appreciate the great atittudes the staff at Namdo had. They were extremely friendly, accommodating, and flexible. I would like to see Namdo address these staffing challenges and provide full service meat preparation and grilling, tableside.

It was such a great first experience walking into this restaurant on a whim while heading somewhere else. I'm glad we decided to change our plans. My husband and I were greeted warmly and seated promptly. We arrived right when they opened, so we were among the first to get in. The restaurant was decorated in a cultural style throughout, and the booths were charmed with Korean children's books. Our server asked whether it was our first time there, then explained how the ordering process works. We started with a delicious appetizer, pajeon (pan-fried seafood scallion pancake), crispy on the outside, warm and well-seasoned inside. We also enjoyed a few banchan (small side dishes served with rice) alongside our appetizer. Our main dishes were grilled bulgogi (grilled beef) and Jeyuk Bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork). All of the dishes were delicious, the prices are fair, and we look forward to returning next time to use the grill.

Just went and loved it! Everyone there was so nice! They went above and beyond I terms of service where they constantly looked after our little one and were always making sure we were ok. The food was also excellent, we got the small bbq beef combo and it was more than enough for the 3 of us. And the price was great too. Considering how high the quality of the meat was, we were shocked by how reasonable the price was. Highly recommend here.

Food- great quality meats with unique, seemingly gourmet Korean side dishes. Presentation excellent. The Namdo Special was a fantastic value! Service- Prompt, friendly, knowledgeable. We loved the fact that we didn't smell like bbq when we left because of their special suction grills. This is definitely my new favorite spot for Korean BBQ

We just moved here from CA Bay Area, and missed the KBBQ there. NAMDO is hands down one of my favorite spots now. PROS: - we ordered the small Beef Combo, and it was plenty of food for 2 people. Would recommend getting an additional item if you have 3 people. The meats were DELICIOUS! I normally don't like marinated meats but every plate of meat was delicious. - the small beef combo had 7 dishes of meats. Not huge portions or each, but I appreciated the variety and quality, over quantity. - They gave 2 sauce options and I don't know what was in them, but they were freaking delicious! - the Beef combo came with different options for a side stew. We went with their new risotto which was a mix of beef, rice and noodles. It was delicious!! - the staff were SO kind and helpful! OKAY: - the banchan display was beautiful, and the bean sprout dish, salad and kimchi were good! They also gave a small bone broth soup which was delicious. - FYI $5 banchan refill. We didn't need to refill, but this was the first time I've seen this at a KBBQ place. I can see why though, there was a lot of thought in their banchan items. - I wish the risotto stew came out around the same time as the meats. It came out at the end after we were almost done eating, but honestly not a big deal! Overall: would definitely recommend for an affordable KBBQ spot with high quality meats and marinades!

I think these special versions are definitely better than the standard ones which we've tried before here. So much more flavor! The price is quite reasonable and the service was friendly and fast. The staff were very attentive and would immediately replenish our radish if we were low. The jjamppong and jjajangmyeon tasted fine, if anything the jjajangmyeon was a little sweet. The fried rice however (without the jjajang sauce) was pretty bland and a bit dry. I don't know if it's intentional because they give the sauce on the side but I'd like to have the rice taste good without the assistance of the sauce. Other than the bland and dry rice, my only other nitpick would be that the jjajangmyeon came out a lot later than the other dishes. Otherwise we paid around $117 (without tip), for five dishes and two appetizers, which I think is pretty good for this area.

You really taste the spice if you ask for it. In long We've been talking about kimchi fried rice for 3 weeks, and finally got an order in. We're trying to cook at home more these days, but we opened the app and we were total suckers for the special. It was just a few bucks off, but when we built the order, it was 2-for-1, so we have an awesome pile of leftovers now. Showed up fast, still plenty hot. Kimchi fried rice Awesome chewy texture, great spicy tart kimchi flavor, savory fried egg on top with extra seasoning just on the egg. We got our 2-for-1 on the rice, and the portion is pretty big, so we will get at least 4 servings out of this. Tofu mushroom soup Ordered 4 stars, and there's actual noticeable kick to it, which not every place does. Excellent flavors. For $25, 2 little cups doesn't seem like much, so if I see that 2-for-1 again I might put it in on the soup instead of the rice. The lady who was serving us was very friendly and came back a bunch of times to ask if we need more tea. We were there way longer than how much we spend time at typical BBQ place, but she didn't seem to mind, which was nice. We had the beef combo, cold noodles, and squid and veggie stir fry, and that was way more than we needed. We thought the combo comes with only two bowls of rice but they added another one, seeing that we are party of three. That was nice. Banchan was pretty good and I kind of wish I ate more of it before the meat arrived because I got full from other items quickly. Cold noodles were average. Of the four kinds of beef in the combo, I liked three of them except for one (I believe it was the NY steak) - one item was leaner/dryer than other NY steak I had elsewhere. The combo also came with individual sauces (two types - salt in oil and sweet-ish sauce). The sweet sauce was quite forgettable and so I kept dipping the meat in the salt in oil sauce, but I wish they offered other sauce...maybe like soy sauce based ones or just plain salt. The squid stir fry was spicy and I enjoyed it. The combo also came with tofu soup, which was also pretty good.
