She also had the Arnold Palmer, which was great. Comes with fries which were good. I had the oxtail, with a side of garlic mash and Mac n cheese. Yes! Lots of carbs, don't judge me! lol The oxtail were pretty fatty and fell short in flavor, I also wasn't impressed by the sides. My drink, sexy sangria was delicious, strong and the service was A1, Brian was great and so was the server. Sampled the hot sauce, very good. My one critique of the establishment, smelled a little like wet mop. But the playlist was bumping and overall great vibes, love the art on the walls.

Service was great and the restaurant was pleasant and filled with natural light. We didn't have a reservation but there was no problem to be seated quickly and served promptly. Took off one star because a member of my dinner party had trouble returning their side of collard greens due to it being too salty. A staff member who wasn't our original waitress, pressed them to choose another one. So I'm not sure if this restaurant allows you to take an item off the bill if it misses the mark but I'd still return in a heartbeat.

Listen, I bought food from Manna's on a Saturday, and it was so good that my mom and I had to turn…read moreright back around and drive down to Harlem again (from Rockland) just to get more. I am Haitian, so trust me when I tell you I know good food when I taste it. This is the kind of food that makes you hum while you eat. The kind of food that makes you forget about your diet and your errands because nothing else matters in that moment except what's on your plate. The flavors were rich, seasoned all the way through, and every bite tasted like somebody's auntie or grandma was in the kitchen putting real love into it. What I really love is that it's buffet style, so you already know I was piling my plate with everything that called my name. You get exactly what you want and as much of it as you want, which makes it even better. Harlem has so many gems, but Manna's is one of those places where you can feel the community and the history in the food. The price is more than fair for how satisfied you will leave, and you will be thinking about that plate long after you finish it. When I say this place is worth the trip, I mean it. If you see me driving down to Harlem again, mind your business, because it is probably just me, my mom, and grandma (who came along for the second ride) going back for another round.

The ambiance was nice - the chairs were hard on the body but the chandeliers and lighting along with the digital photo frames with pictures from past times really make the vibe. There was a live band, so it was loud, making it a little hard to conversate but we intentionally choose our meal time around the entertainment experience. The food was just short of great! To drink, I had a Pom in Paradise which was delish. For dinner, I had the Sweet Potato Coconut soup, the Cornbread with tomato butter, and Empanadas - all of which was quite tasty. I was able to try some of the Black Eye Pea Stew... again really good, I brought my Mac & Greens home and had them as next day left overs and thought they were a bit too salty. If ever in the area again, I would definitely look to go back.

I promptly sat myself at the bar and took in the beautiful ambience that Red Rooster Harlem has to offer. After drooling over the menu, I ordered a Pom-o Paradise which I later found out is a pomegranate margarita on tap topped with Prosecco. This drink is ordered up to 500 times a day and rightfully so!! It was light and delicious. For dinner, I ordered the sweet potato and coconut soup. It was flavorful and memorable. I crave it as I write this review. I then had the jerk salmon bowl. As a Jamaican, I was skeptical, however I had faith in God and the chef lol. I have to admit I was a little disappointed when I saw that the small, roasted tomatoes were left whole, however, cutting into them as they elegantly burst into an additional sauce was an experience I didn't know I needed. The jerk rub was spot on and made me want to whip out my flag, but I surprisingly left it at home. I say all this to say, I had an amazing experience and can't wait to come back and try their highly recommended chicken & waffles, shrimp & grits, mac and greens, and more. Until next time, Red Rooster Harlem!
