So let's take the absolute best Peruvian chicken spot and go head to head with Nando's. NANDO'S - Excellent flavor, my favorite being the Mango-Lime. For portion size, not very big each time I've come here. The #1 thing Nando's has over Pollo Rico are their sides. I absolutely love the Portuguese rice and garlic bread! POLLO RICO - Only one flavor, but tastes amazing. Portion size is way bigger than Nando's. Personally, I think the Peruvian cream sauce beats out all of Nando's various hot sauces. Negative here would be the boring and bland sides. This is like Shake Shack vs Five Guys so it's ultimately about preference. The chicken was moist and tasted really good. For the first time since being a kid I truly enjoyed a chicken leg. We went with medium for the chicken. It was moist and had both good flavor and texture. The hubby ate it plain and I used the hot sauce as well as the garlic sauce. For sides we got the chips (fries) and the cold slaw. Both were pretty tasty. It is a nice in the middle experience. You get a table, a menu & a number. You go the register to place your order and tell them your number. If you order soda you get a glass which you go to the machine to fill. They bring the wine and your ordered food when it is ready. You pick up your own utensils & napkins. Overall a good experience and someplace I think we will likely visit again. Decided to give this location a try as it was located opposite my hotel. Had an awful disappointment at another location earlier in the day. So glad that I gave it another go. At this location, we decided to try other stuff on the menu and we were not disappointed. Loved the chicken liver.. Right level of spice..just loved it ... 4.9/5 Wings were also great ... 4.8/5 Sangria- 4.8/5 There host were professional and courteous. This was my first visit to this location although I have been to other locations. I had earlier decided that I didn't particularly care for their chicken oriented selections. However, I had noticed at another location that they had some selections that were not chicken. I had the Portobello Mushroom with Halloumi Wrap which I really liked. The service was decent. Customers place their order at the counter and are assigned to a particular table. Customers have to retrieve their own silverware from a station with silverware, beverages, and condiments including their peri-peri sauce that is available in several versions depending on the heat. The food is brought to the table when ready. The only problem that I had was finding the spiciest version of their sauce; there was none with the condiment station. We were at this location for our pick up order today. Nando's always offered us military discount when we picked up order when the service member is in uniform. After an exhausting day, we decided to pick up dinner on the way home. When making a payment, my husband who was in the uniform asked the person taking the payment about the military discount. The person responded, we do not offer any military discount. When my husband shared that he always got the military discount in Nando's before when in uniform, the cashier responded that Nando's does not offer any discounts implying that my husband is lying. We were greeted with sangria and olives and nuts (appetizers). The sangria was pretty good but a little too sweet for my liking. We were surprised that they brought out literally a whole meal for each of us. There were half dark/white meat chicken, fries, and coleslaw. The food were very consistent to what I've had from other locations. Chicken was cooked almost perfectly and went well with the garlic sauce. One of my favorite chicken places. Every time we come here we always get our "usual" which makes it easy for us. The "usual" consists of the full platter (whole chicken shared between 2-3 people), their peri-peri fries, portuguese rice and a side of their peri-peri mayo which brings the whole dish together. Honestly it's a little crazy that my first time visiting Nando's is now after living near it my entire life. I feel like I missed out lol and plan to make up for lost time!! Totally ruined my day there. A bit long so bare with me. I went in to order food to go, for a picnic on my birthday. Due to covid they had a pick up area, with a rack full of sauces, napkins and plastic forks. They are really thoughtful for providing this so we don't eat with our barehands". Decided to try this place out for lunch with a couple of co-workers today. This restaurant is located at the Springfield Town Center but it has its own outside entrance, so you don't have to actually walk inside the mall. We were greeted immediately by someone as soon as we walked in which was nice. It was busy since it was lunch time but they have plenty of seating so that wasn't an issue. You have to order with the cashier and then your food is brought to your table. I ordered the chicken breast sandwich with a side of fries. My sandwich was good but not enough to blow my tastebuds away. I honestly wish I would have just gotten the regular 1/4 chicken because my co-worker's food looked great (maybe next time). You order food by lining up to the cashier after getting seated, food arrives missing dipping sauces and will be told you are supposed to purchase it prior, what? Nando's is a chicken and spice lovers paradise. Making delicious chicken dishes is their speciality and they do it really really well. I wish I would have tried Nandos sooner! How it goes here: You get a menu at your table and then walk up to the table to order, the food comes to your table. Utensils, Sauces, and Drinks can be found at the condiments bar. Although portions are smaller, it's still filling. I love the variety of spice options you find get here. You get to choose how spicy you want your chicken. 4 levels of spice - Lemon & Herb, Medium, Hot, & Extra Hot. If you live and breath spicy food like me, then Hot or Extra Hot is the way to go, but for most people Medium is a safe bet. Plus, you will always be able to make your meal more spicy with the 4 sauces you can pour to your liking. Indian standards of spice are pretty high but the Hot sauce alone is exactly pretty decent for me, finally found a place where I don't have to repeatedly ask for more "fake" hot sauce. They have various types of food here everything from tacos and sandwiches to 1/2-1 lb of chicken you get with two sides, a great meal to share! They also have other great sides like mashed potatoes and vegetables. My favorite is getting a spicy chicken sandwich that comes with fries; decent for $10. I recommend this place especially to chicken and spice lovers but the unique flavors offer something for everyone. read more

What you do is if you've never been there you go to your table first, look over the menu, decide what you want (my favorite is the the chicken thigh skewers) then you go up to the cashier and order. :) Anyway, I ordered the chicken skewers in the mango lime sauce with garlic bread and mashed potatoes. The chicken was so tender and juicy. Every bite was filled with flavor! And to make it even better I used the extra hot nandos sauce. The garlic bread is my favorite side, always nice and fresh. But jeez...over $95.00 for a family of 5 to eat (no alcohol to get through it either) and it's not a full service restaurant!!! Ordered a sandwich for my son, asked to PLEASE melt the cheese, make sure the cheese is melted, " yes ma'am." Food comes out, cheese cold and not melted! I asked the waitress to please take the chicken back and melt the cheese. She said, we don't do that?!? What the what???? I ordered it that way?!!!! She said they can not melt the cheese.
