I love visiting mom and pop places and Nanny's definitely has such positive vibes. The moment you walk in, you are greeted with a smile. You order at the counter but can take a seat at one of the many tables and they will bring you your order. As a party of two, we ordered an Americano, breakfast omelet sandwich on a baguette and a breakfast omelet on a croissant. The omelets have ham and cheese. The omelet is fluffy and both egg items were tasty. The baguette and the croissant tasted super fresh. It comes with a very small side of salad. The Americano coffee tasted really good! Even if I'm not hungry, I would definitely stop by just for a cup of coffee. The bakery case had other pastry items that I'm sure to try next time!

Quiet and quaint! This little sandwich shop was clean and friendly. The staff seemed like they could have been the owners. They were very friendly and welcoming. As we looked at the menu above the register and pastries, they offered to make any adjustments on the sandwiches that we desired. I got the Greek sandwich and it was delicious. All the flavors worked so well together. It was a very refreshing sandwich for a hot summer day. The baguette was the best. So fresh, crisp and crunchy on the outer parts, and doughy and soft on the inside. The small side salad that accompanied the sandwich was light and delicious as well. The staff, the food, and the setting were all comfortable and a great experience. Give them a try! So much better than a fast food lunch. Treat yourself to love and freshness!

Lunch or breakfast, Nanny's can deliver! Lots of options for both, food is of good quality and service very friendly. Nanny's is easy to find off of Lake Mead, has both indoor and outdoor seating and in one of the nicer plazas off of Lake Mead. We had a panini, a baquette sandwich and an omelette sandwich as well. It pleased us all and we will be sure to go back. It's a welcome spot in the neighborhood!

Mediterranean sandwich and Belgian pannini

On the plus side, the food was tasty, the menu was creative, the restaurant had a nice decor, and the service was nice. My husband and I ordered the Mediterranean sandwich and the Belgian pannini and mentioned we were going to share both sandwiches. Much to our delight, they split the orders in the kitchen! Why did I knock off a star? Two reasons. First, they never mentioned the salad -- which was a nice surprise for me but a disappointment for my husband who doesn't like buttermilk-based dressing. Had he known about the salad, he would have asked for it without dressing. Second, we weren't told about the 3% credit card fee. It wasn't in the menu, and it wasn't mentioned at the time of the transaction. After looking at the receipt during lunch, my husband noticed the charge and then specifically went searching for the notice. He eventually found it in small print near the credit card machine, but the lack of disclosure left a bad taste in our mouths. This is a cost of doing business and should be included in the prices. Put differently, the prices were really reasonable, and I would have preferred to pay more for the sandwiches and not be charged a credit card surcharge, which just made us feel ripped off and not want to return.

This is a must-visit place if you are craving a delicious French breakfast/lunch. The place is very cute, super clean, and welcoming! The atmosphere was cozy with French music playing in the background. I love it! We ordered a couple of paninis, a sandwich and coffees. They were very yummy! I will definitely come back here next time I'm in Vegas to try different items in the menu. The service was excellent! The owner was super nice and very accommodating. She was also continuously smiling and chatted with us. Do not be shy to start a conversation with her. She was fun to talk to! Thanks for the great service and tasty food!

My apologies for the lengthy and detailed review. The high points were: my breakfast sandwich was tasty, coffee was strong and prepared with a professional espresso machine that produced an excellent mug full of caffeine, service was excellent. The lower points were: they don't open until 8 am and there are No Free Coffee Refills. Overall, it's NOT a breakfast sandwich restaurant, regardless of what their signage states. It is a French lunch cafe with a nice selection of salads and sandwiches. Saw Facebook advertisement for Nanny's, checked its Yelp reviews, and then decided to try it out. Nestled into a small strip mall, a couple of stores down from Weight Watchers, we found abundant parking. The front of the cafe has excellent signage announcing Nanny's French Breakfast Sandwiches. Ironically, they don't open until until 8 am, but are open until 4:30 weekdays. Saturdays are 8 to 3. Closed Sundays. Perusing their menu boards, it's obvious this is a lunchtime cafe. So, regardless of the cafe name, it's tasty lunch they serve rather than breakfast. There were outdoor tables shaded with orange umbrellas. Not surprisingly, there was only one customer during the time we were present on an "early" Friday morning. My wife completed her WW class at 7:30, but we couldn't go eat as the restaurant didn't open until 8. Instead, we went grocery shopping and then returned for breakfast. Normally, we would have gone elsewhere, but we really wanted to try Nanny's food. Though the food was very tasty, convenience will probably win out in the future. There are too many breakfast places in West Las Vegas to wait around for Nanny's to open. The interior is bright, well lit, cheerful and inviting. The menus are large and easy to read. The entrance and tables are ADA compliant and easily allow wheelchair access. Ambiance was supplied by a Boom Box, which played French music that was easy listening with an uplifting beat. The young French lady at the register immediately greeted us upon entry. She was friendly, courteous, and professional. Turned out, she was The Everything! From preparing and serving excellent coffee (expensive espresso machine) to cooking and serving our breakfast to taking our money, she demonstrated every necessary skill and provided superb service. The coffee was great! It was strong and flavorful, but not overpowering. The quality of the coffee made sense given the professional espresso machine that prepared it. The mugs were white porcelain, clean, shiny, and large. None of the tiny, one ounce shot glass size, cups here. That was appropriate as there were NO FREE REFILLS. No guzzling down multiple cups of coffee! I had a #1 Breakfast Sandwich. Served on a long rectangular white porcelain plate with actual metal flatware, it had a fresh and lightly crunchy slice of long bread roll stuffed with scrambled eggs. The bread had been flattened with a panini press and cut diagonally into halves. The inside of the bread was soft. The scrambled eggs with thinly sliced ham were cooked perfectly. There was a small side salad on the plate consisting of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and was lightly dressed in ranch. It was cold, crisp, and complemented the sandwich quite nicely. It was a simplistic sandwich with great flavor. Overall, Nanny's makes delicious sandwiches (and presumably salads) with a French flair. You should spend a lunch time here enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and good food.

Nice little hidden gem inside/outside seating with a decent menu they also offer free WiFi ! Omelette was nicely prepared tasted great along with fresh baguette everything is simple and if you've every been to Europe well you'll feel at home! Only four stars because I noticed no coffee refill for those of you who drink coffee! Will definitely return and looking forward to try some other menu items.

This is a charming restaurant with friendly, sweet staff. We took a friend who wanted to practice his French there, and he had a great time speaking with them. Everyone loved their hearty sandwiches with delicious baguette. As a vegetarian, I did enjoy the radish sandwich and a fresh salad. I've tried the croissant breakfast in a pinch, and loved the strong coffee, generously sized croissant, and delicious jam. Also, every pastry I've brought home has been a huge hit. The almond-fig tart is mind-blowing! The patio seating in spring and fall is delightful. read more

Nanny's French Breakfast Sandwich Restaurant is Delicious! When I first tried this place - the first thing that stood out to me, was how clean everything was. U can tell by the Glassware they use and the table settings. The owner and everyone that works here are so polite and friendly. I definitely recommend Nanny's to my friends and anyone looking for a great Panini and cup of coffee. I've tried 3 sandwiches so far- and All are good tasting. I recommend the Chicken Pesto Panini- and the Italian Panini- and even the Ham Croissant. The Paninis are a really good size and actually pretty filling with just half of one! They serve it with a nice light salad on the side with dressing and tomatoes. I also order a Cappuccino - I love their coffee Check out Nanny's for a nice lunch and good price!!! read more

Went to brunch this weekend and ordered the tuna sandwich- it was so good! I The food was spot on for Parisian cafes, and my sandwich was both light on my stomach and filling. The service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. Bonus: the patio out front is dog-friendly!! read more

Friendly service good food and a nice but limited assortment of pastries. The cappuccino was delicious, and the croissant buttery. The flan had a good sweet vanilla flavor. My wife and I have been eating at Nanny's for a confessor if years, usually four breakfast. What we like most is that the food is good, and the preparation is excellent. We usually have an omelette, which is prepared in a European style, served with several slices of baguette. The coffee is dark and out is worth noting that there are no refills. There is also a selection of fresh pastries, so we usually leave with some crescents. The owner is friendly and always willing to chat. We're go to Nanny's more often than the more well known places because of the simplicity and quality of the menu. read more

So, we're in Vegas for a soccer tournament and it's freakin cold and we want something other than drive through crap. My wife pulls up cafés in the area and Nanny's pulls up and the photos look good. I'm thinking a bowl of oatmeal to warm me up. Nope! It's this awesome little French place with incredible looking (and tasting) croissants and various pastries. My wife was a little put off by the lack of breakfast items, however, she gutted out a croissant with butter and jam and probably the best cup of hot chocolate I've ever tasted. My wife admitted that it was a perfect breakfast. The ladies that run this place are extremely cool and very friendly and put you at ease immediately. All with a genuine French accent. My daughter and I got the egg and ham croissant. When it came out I was a little wigged out because the egg and ham was microwaved. Usually, eggs and microwaves do not get along. But, surprisingly, it was fluffy, buttery and delicious. So, all you hoytie toytie upper crust snobs (Lilly) who are put off by such things, relax, it's good. Really good. We got an apple tart to go and it too, was off the hook good. Thank you to the French hotties who run the place. We'll be back when in town. read more

Very nice local place. Had the croissants and they were very good. Had the Italian Panini. It was very good. Light on the meat by American standards, but very flavorful. I would have quality with good flavor or quantity any time, and this place seems to focus on that. I will be back. read more

Nanny's is the best. The food is freshly made by Nanny! If you want an authentic European cafe this is it. The staff is kind, personable, and the food is delicious. Our family stops in for breakfast, lunch, or just a pastry and coffee. My kids adore Nanny and her madeleines! They will also eat a whole salad here, which is awesome since they are only toddlers. Stop in and you will fall in love too. This is a local business that is well worth supporting! We adore Nanny's so much and stop in once a week for a tasty treat! read more

The bread for the sandwiches is so crunchy on the outside and soft inside. The ingredients are super fresh. Nothing is overwhelmed with sauce or condiments. This place is awesome. Affordable, delicious food and polite service. I only wish the seating inside was a bit better. I felt like some of the tables were too close to one another for a private conversation. Other than that, it's pretty much perfect. I paid $40 for two people to eat breakfast/brunch, both have coffee/tea, and even took one of each pastry in the display case home with me. (About 10 different selections total) read more

Always come here when I'm around the area. I've had the mozzarella and tomato sandwich and it delicious! The bread is always fresh and so are all the ingredients. The last time I came I had the ham and cheese omelette sandwich and it was very good as well. Definitely give this place a try. read more

Nanny's is a hidden gem in the area. There's no fake-American-French food here, it's all genuine. So TODAY we started / ended our bike ride at Nanny's. Though I've been there before, my group hadn't, so I wanted to introduce them! I love the coffee, one of my friends got the ham and cheese omelet, and another the "Spicy" sandwich which they both raved about. I came in because of the ratings but I was sorely disappointed. The young lady at the front was probably the only positive observation. They hired the right person but this place is very overhyped. The mozzarella tomato was very soggy and sour. The spicy sandwich was in extremely hard bread and the floors of this pace were filthy to the point of being sticky! Too bad that the ratings are so misleading. read more

I was in the area and had a little time to eat lunch. Saw a pizza place nearby and as I was walking in, I saw Nanny's. Dropped in there instead and I'm glad I did. I had Nanny's Sandwich and it was the best sandwich I've had in a long time. Super crisp but fresh French bread, ham, bacon, cucumbers and a French pepper sauce ... so good. Not sure about everything else obviously, but this sandwich doesn't disappoint. Service was nice, the place was clean and the prices are reasonable. read more

The smell of fresh bread has to be the best thing ever. I purchased a few loaves for a few family members as well and we all agreed that they are the best. I'm most likely going to be here at least once a week from now on. They also offer some different pastries and other types of bread. I was told by the cashier that during the holidays, other items become available and to check their website for details. I'll definitely be doing that. So happy I found this place. There is a cafe with some food items but I haven't had a chance to try them yet. I hope to do so in the near future.

Crispy on the outside, soft and perfectly "fluffy" on the inside. Not too moist and not too dry. Not chewy where your jaw gets tired like from trying to eat a sponge. OMGosh, the amount of poppy and sesame seeds on each was a delight. In most places out here, you can't tell if a plain bagel got an accidental dusting of seeds or they skimp or don't know how to top them so the seeds stay on. If you have to take a drug test, don't eat a poppy, you might fail - they are loaded. Their pumpernickel too is OUTSTANDING. We will definitely be back!

There is no designated person on the cash handling the customers orders, and designated people making the bagels. Which you would think for a bagel place is absolutely necessary to function correct correctly The fact that they have not been able to address this and it actually seems to be getting worse Is something that management is obviously dropping the ball on?

As a business decision, I'm confused--why intentionally flavor your branding in a way that only appeals to half the customers? That's like opening a smoothie bar and proudly announcing you only serve people who pronounce "quinoa" correctly. And the merch situation... are we here for a protein smoothie or a pop-up museum of tiny smoothie-shop war criminal figurines? Between the themed items and drinks with alphabet names that sound like they were generated by an algorithm mid-argument, I wasn't sure if I should order a banana smoothie or attend a town hall. Now I'm wondering--if I had shown up with a reusable cup in the wrong color or a tote bag with the "wrong vibe," would my smoothie have tasted different? Extra oats? Less oat milk? Emotional garnish? Anyway, I just came for a smoothie, not a statement. I'd prefer my snacks blended, not my customer experience. Stop virtue signaling. It's not a good business idea.

After ordering, I noticed everyone seated around me was also waiting. My order ended up taking over 20 minutes, which completely defeated the point of stopping here. What stood out the most was that the two employees making sandwiches were moving very slowly, spending more time laughing and chatting with each other than focusing on the orders in front of them. There's nothing wrong with having fun at work, but when guests are clearly waiting and the store is busy, it comes across as unprofessional and inconsiderate. It even showed in the quality of the food. I had asked for extra onion, and they gave me just a single small slice. Whether that was sarcasm or carelessness, it was disappointing. On a positive note, the cashier was very friendly and clearly trying to keep things moving. When I asked for a water cup, she even offered me a regular drink instead to make up for the long wait -- which I really appreciated. Small gestures like that do make a difference. Overall, this location could benefit from stronger training and accountability for the staff. A little more focus during busy times would go a long way in keeping the experience consistent with what I've come to expect from Firehouse Subs.

I was in the Desert Shores area with my mother around 3pm getting hungry and looking for a place to sit down and have a sandwich. We saw Nanny's over by The Sushi (which is a horrible establishment might I add) and decided to sit down when we saw that they served fresh sandwiches. Walking in I noticed that the restaurant wasn't very busy, but it was also past the typical lunch time so I didn't really mind the scarcity. The workers there didn't seem to speak English very well, I believe they were from France, but they were very kind at helping my mother decide on what to order. They were super friendly and very knowledgable on what they served. They gave us both menus and pictures of the sandwiches they make and my mother decided to order the Italian Panini while I got the Ocean (a tuna sandwich on french bread) with two bottles of water. The food came out after a decent wait and the first thing I noticed was that the sandwiches were HUGE. They weren't completely uneatable, but they were at least a footlong with a small side salad. First off, the salad dressing is AMAZING. I don't know what it was exactly, but it was tangy and light at the same time. Also the sandwiches are extremely delicious. This was definitely the best tuna sandwich I have had in awhile. It wasn't overwhelmed by the french bread it came on and it also had the perfect mayo to tuna ratio. My mom absolutely adored her panini and kept ranting about it while we were eating. It actually got really annoying at one point. One of the ladies there also brought out a fig and almond pastry for us to try, and let me tell you it was DELICIOUS. I do not normally like figs, but I would definitely get one of these again. The total for our meal came out to $12 for the both of us (two sandwiches, two salads, two waters, and a complementary pastry) so what you get exceeds the price. This place is a must go if you are in Summerlin and I know I will for sure going back soon. read more

Just went here for the first time with my sister and we both loved it! We went to school out in Europe so as soon as we saw this place we swore we were back in Europe. Their pastries all seemed so good but of course I had to try their croissant (since it is French and all) it was so delicious.. We also tried their mozzarella tomato basil panini and it reminded me of the same exact one I had while being in Europe (I have tried other places here in Las Vegas and none seemed to be the same) . It's such a cute little place with both seating inside or outside ... Wonderful for a date or a family brunch and also great for studying because it is a very calming and relaxing environment ... I plan on going back and taking my parents I know they would love this place as well. Oh and before I forget the owners were so sweet and welcoming! read more

Nanny's Cafe is a quaint little sandwich shop that really surprised me in the best way. I had the Italian, and it was excellent. This is not your typical Subway-style sandwich. The difference is clear with premium freshly baked baguettes, meats, and cheeses that you can actually taste. Everything felt fresh and each was made to order. The women behind the counter (possibly the owners) were very friendly and genuinely happy to have us there, which added to the overall experience. I waited a week to visit this charming, cozy restaurant after noticing it during a Starbucks run. When I arrived with my 2-month-old, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They offered great suggestions for what to try. I'm not sure who came up with the Brie Panini combo, but it was absolutely delicious. I ordered it with extra crumbled bacon. The brie added a sweet element, while the walnuts provided the right texture and crunch, complemented by the savory bacon. Perfect mid day brunch before finishing my errands.
