Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and luckily for us they serve breakfast all day! I'm a huge breakfast person and I loved eating it for lunch. They have a private parking lot, which is pretty small and can get full really fast. If the lot is full, you have to find street parking on packed streets. Their service is off the charts. Not only is everyone so friendly, but they're also so fast and efficient. I ordered a cup of coffee and they made sure that my cup was never empty. I was barely even able to get it half way down before they came by to give me more! I ordered the eggs with sausage links and it comes with a side of hash brown, toast, or a baked biscuit. I chose the hash browns because those are my favorite and this place does them justice. Food came out really fast and was still hot. My hash browns were crispy to perfection. They cooked my egg perfectly, just the way I wanted it, over hard. The sausages were also amazing and flavorful. This is a really solid spot!! We came in for lunch for my coworker's birthday and I was really pleasantly surprised! I tried the California burger and enjoyed it a lot! I felt like the sprouts and avocado went well with the burger and the burger patty was pretty good! Pretty juicy but maybe not the most flavorful thing I've ever had in my life. My coworkers all ordered breakfast items and I think I'd probably try one of those next time! They have a really expansive lunch menu and the breakfast stuff is served all day! I pass by Nano Cafe all the time and always heard such great things about it but when I came here with my friend, my experience proved to be alright. It was packed even on a Saturday at almost 2pm. The parking lot is small and a bit easy to miss. Service was excellent throughout for us, but some tables in the side of the back patio were hidden by a wall and thus, the servers. Those patrons did not have much luck with service but apologies were profuse and food came out extra quick for them. Food was just ok. We both got different benedicts, but his Smoked Salmon Benedict was cooked salmon instead. That was odd. Good thing I got the Florentine Benedict. I like how everything here isn't super heavy and greasy. However, something was lacking from my benedict. Maybe the soft English muffin halves weren't doing it for me. Or the Hollandaise lacked substance. My hash browns were alright and my friend's Home Fries were good with crispier bits. I also got a chocolate chip cookie for $1. Before my trips to Los Angeles, I look for breakfast places to try along the 210 so that I can get a start out of DTLA early and then stop for breakfast part way to the 15 and the drive up the Cajon Pass. This time, I decided to try Nano Cafe based on Yelp reviews. Thanks you my fellow Yelpers. You steer me in the right direction so many times. I had read about the cinnamon roll French toast and I knew that was what I'd get. When I arrived just before 8 AM, there was only one other table in the small restaurant occupied. Before I left, the place was almost filled. There's also a patio dining area on the west side of the building. My server was Chia Li and she was very pleasant, always kept my coffee filled, and was quick with service. She took my order quickly and it was cooked and brought to the table quickly. Well, this is almost like having dessert for breakfast. It's a cinnamon roll cut in half and half again, dipped in egg, and fried to make French toast. In the process, the icing on the former cinnamon roll melts and oozes inside the egg as the French toast cooks. It was very, very good. Chia brought a container of maple syrup and a cup of soft butter, but I only used a small amount of butter. Syrup with this sweetness would have been overkill but it would also have detracted from the rich cinnamon flavor. There's also the option of making this a combo--two eggs and choice of ham, bacon or sausage added. No, I didn't go for the combo. That sounds almost like a Man vs Food. If you're a local, or you're in the area, stop by Nano Cafe. You won't regret this small, neighborhood restaurant with good food and good service! read more

I showed up to Nano on a Saturday morning super hungry and with the pup. I was shocked because I arrived yet saw no outdoor seating so I was a little worried that we wouldn't be able to eat here. To my surprise, there is a small patio out in the back that's covered!! They opened a small door out there for us to go through with our pup and enjoy a nice brunch. The places gives off a very home like vibe. The staff was super friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We had coffee poured into our mugs right away and our cups were never empty. The menus were clean and not sticky and offer a variety of options such as french toast, sandwiches, omelettes, crepes, burritos, salads and even soups. They also serve breakfast all day. I decided to order the cinnamon roll french toast combo ($8.99). The french toast was delicious! Soft on the inside and nice and toasty on the outside. The flavors were all there. 3.5 Stars My husband wanted a corned beef omelet which is not on the menu. They called in a special order for his request. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite an omelet. It was more like scrambled eggs with corned beef mixed into it. There was nothing else added with it, he had to ask for some cheddar cheese to put on top. I got the Nano Cafe omelet which was pretty good and the portion was fine. I personally couldn't finish the whole thing. The order comes with toast and hash browns. We dined at Cafe Nano a few years ago for breakfast and the experience was kind of so so. We came back with friends who used to come frequently and the experience so so much better!! Great Diner food for breakfast! Came out here from a decent drive from Pasadena just to try this place- and it was worth it! I tried their popular Cinnamon Roll French Toast, which was amazing! It wasn't too sweet (like the Reyn's in Pasadena) yet still had a nice strong flavor. I also really liked their Salmon Bennedict was also pretty delicious as well, nothing super standout about it, but well cooked and tasty. My friend also liked their corn beef hash. What I first noticed about this place is that it's more like a mom and pop breakfast shop that's very similar to an Asian cafe you would go to instead it's American style breakfast. The service is undeniably great here. We had a group of 6 and they took our reservation and prepared our table in the back of the kitchen area. Instead of having us wait, they were nice enough to open the back "secret" area for us which was nice of them. We had the area to ourselves for a while until another big group joined us in the area. I ordered their Eggs Benedict which was delicious and my wife ordered their Turkey Benedict. The turkey to me was a bit on the salty side but there was plenty of ham on the benedict. Can't go wrong with either one especially with the hashbrown to go along with the Egg Benedict. We also tried their Cinnamon Toast which was good but definitely better with a bit of butter and syrup over it. It was my first time here last weekend and I will definitely have to come back to try their other dishes. How I adore this place. Yes, it's taken me this long to come and enjoy a wonderful breaskfast with such great friendly service. Got the banana nut waffle combo with eggs and bacon and also the country breakfast sub with egg whites, sausage, biscuit with gravy The waffle was soggy and soft not crispy at all. The bacon was over fried and hard. The biscuit was way too soft like a pound cake, doesn't taste like a biscuit at all. The rest of my order was just average nothing special. I live a little far from here, so probably wouldn't drive here again :( read more
