To my surprise, since the only person who every contacted me was Felix, called and left me a voice mail. Sade, I believe that's her name said to call her back and she would assist me. Well, I finally got a chance to return her phone call a few days later. I left her a VM, then followed up with a text. Nothing. I called the following week and left another VM. Nothing. I decided to text Felix and ask if he can assist to connect me to Sade. Nothing. I decided to try Sade again, so I called but again went to VM so I left another VM. Nothing. Ok they win, they strung me along long enough that i've waved the white flag. Toyota of Anaheim wins, they don't have to supply the wheel lock to my car. What awful service. Unfortunately, this fits the stereotype of why people hate going car shopping.

When it was my turn, the employee asked what I needed, and I explained that I wanted the check engine light scanned. He handed me the scanner and told me to do it myself. I explained that I didn't know how and asked if he could assist me, as AutoZone employees have helped me with this service many times over the years. Before helping me, the phone rang. He took the call and left me standing there waiting while he remained on the phone for an extended period of time. When another employee, Max, became available, I asked if he could please help me. His response and attitude were extremely disappointing. He told me that checking the vehicle is only done as a "courtesy" and essentially said that he did not want to do it. I found his demeanor rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. The way I was treated also left me feeling as though prejudice may have played a role, which made the experience even more upsetting. After being a loyal AutoZone customer for more than 30 years, I should not walk into a store asking for basic assistance and leave feeling disrespected and refused service. Someone in management needs to look into the customer service at this location, particularly my interaction with Max. To make a long story short: I came in for help with my check engine light and left without receiving the assistance I requested. Save yourself the trip. Those were perfectly fine. I had dropped one of the bulbs into the engine and couldn't find it or get it out. I went into the store and asked Rodrigo for help and luckily he had a magnet that helped get the bulb out. He went above and beyond. After that I couldn't get to the regular headlight and he helped show me where I can change them from so I wouldn't have to remove anything crazy from my car! He really saved my life that day!!!! Had an appointment for 12pm. Arrived at 12, Jair stated it would be about 2 hours. Fair enough, we prepared for this situation by bringing two cars. Didn't get notification of the car STARTING to be serviced until 2:30. I can understand a short staffing or an irregularly busy day, but other reviews will validate these delays being normal. This location closes at 6pm on Sunday. By 5:45pm, we still received no word about the car being finished in the near future, so we just drove over. It's fortunate we live close, but if you live far, how can they guarantee they'll stay open for you to get your car? When we walked in, there was no waiting time. The car was evidently ready for a while. After the $25 oil change coupon, the total was $100. ONE HUNDRED for an OIL CHANGE. (More of a red flag of Pep Boys as a whole but) We WOULD NOT have scheduled any sort of service had Pep Boys been more transparent about their prices. Overall, not worth $20/hr. Save your money and save your sanity by taking your car literally anywhere else. They couldn't even be bothered to reset the oil change dash light.

Super pleased with Fullerton Ford, especially their service department! I was having transmission…read moreissues in my F-150. Before coming into Fullerton, I had originally taken my truck to another Ford dealer in the area, in which my truck sat there for a week, not even pulled into the shop, undiagnosed, and fully un-communicated with by the service advisor. Which was super frustrating being out a vehicle for this amount of time. I ended up picking the truck up and taking it over to Fullerton, which was a great decision! At Fullerton, I got in touch with Cesar, who took excellent care of me and my truck. He was super communicative, and productive on getting my transmission issues fixed under warranty and was even able to get me a rental car while my truck was getting wrenched on. I do want to note too, the whole service team was great, when Cesar was gone or out for lunch they all picked up his work and made sure I was taken care of. Hopefully I don't find myself back in the service department anytime soon, but if I do, I'm 100% bringing the vehicles to Fullerton over any Ford service dept in SoCal. Might even find myself in the sales department later on down the road!
