I picked up my order and then had an additional question for the employee there about a snowblower, and he helped out a lot. He went into great detail to try to help me and our situation here with a snowblower that suddenly just stopped working. He told me what to look for and let me know that they have parts and things that we need there for it. Gas line antifreeze was reasonably priced. And the gentleman was very helpful. Instead of checking the shelf, the back of the package, or even her computer, she proceeded to accuse me of stealing the and call the police on me. I went in the next day (when he said it would be ready) only the find the oil changed and nothing else done. He told me my transmission oil was dirty but not low, I needed new wheel bearings, my car pulls to the right, I needed a new exhaust manifold and flex pipe as they were all rusted out, and that I needed new wiper blades. He told me he would call me later that day or the next day with the prices for all the parts he would need, and I never heard from him again. That was 3 months ago. I ended up paying 75$ for an oil change and some wiper blades, that he didn't even install (not that that's a big deal). I'm glad I never heard from him again though, turns out my exhaust was fixed by a 5 minute weld, and my wheel bearings were fine. I had another garage look at it and after they aligned it (for free), and changed the transmission fluid, and they said it was fine. Claims to make customers for life but he can't call back the person he was about to scam into 400$+ worth of repair? University car care is a joke.

With financing secured and a deposit placed on the vehicle we planned to purchase, we headed to the "new" Mini of Buffalo (West Herr BMW) to have our trade appraised with high hopes that this purchase would be as smooth as the previous two. We left disappointed. The original trade-in offer they made us -- at roughly $7,000 below what other dealerships had already offered -- was insulting. We sat for over an hour and a half while they crunched numbers. After that time, a second offer came back, following a somewhat condescending explanation of how the market works that we did not need. Still below what we were being offered other places. We were a "no." Feeling insulted and frustrated at the time we wasted (we both took time off from work to make the appointment), we made the tough decision to move on. We asked for our deposit back and were taken to cashier. She literally told us, and the sales manager we had been working with, that we would have to wait while she finished something else. Not a "hello." Not "how are you doing today?" Just a "I have to do this first" with a shush finger in the air. So, we were left waiting again. After about 15 minutes, she tells us that there's nothing she can do. It would have to wait until the next day. We still have not heard back on getting the deposit. The experience at Mini of Buffalo was awful. That said, our sales manager is someone we have worked with in the past. His enthusiasm and knowledge of the Mini brand is unmatched. He seemed as disappointed as we were. And, frankly, he deserves far better. The Mini brand deserves far better.

I never thought I'd be a "MINIac", but here I am, sucked into the culture and happily. Getting my MINI through Towne has been a real treat and has allowed me to meet some new and wonderful friends who are just as enthusiastic about their car. But I've just gotta share the great experience my family had with Ode and crew. We found out about this place word-of-mouth from a friend of a friend. It's not close to home but estimated quote was to save us $1000 on a repair that the dealer quoted as much higher, and was well worth the trip out to Kenmore/Riverside! We have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler, 80K miles, manual speed. After several non-helpful and expensive trips to the Jeep dealer (I will also review their service department!), we found out the Jeep needed a new clutch. The dealer quoted $1700... Grand Prix quoted $750!!!!!!!!!! Not only was Grand Prix's service EXCEPTIONAL but they saved us $900, knew what they were doing (the dealer claimed several additional things needed to be done to the Jeep and Grand Prix said nothing of the sort- but Grand Prix was right!), and finally after years of shoddy service at the dealer where they said they just had no way of fixing things to make the Jeep drive better, the Jeep now drives like it's new!!!! We couldn't be more happy that we saved a ton of money, this place has a great reputation, the mechanics are honest and have REAL skill, and that our car that we were about to sell is now purring like a kitten instead of hacking like a old dying cat!
