Dear Jay, thank you for restoring my faith in humanity. Seriously, I've spent at least 10 grand…read moreover the past 2 decades wasting $$$ on shade tree mechanics and highway robbery dealerships. They either don't know what they're doing or they knowingly overcharge anyone who "looks" naïve or vulnerable. Read - seniors or women unaccompanied by their husbands or fathers. Because this is 1950, eye roll.. Jay is the real deal. Yes, Apna Garage is a modest shop tucked away behind a gas station. But how many mechanics have a legit 5 star Yelp rating? I'll wait.. The reason is because no-one is as honest, humble or as kind as Jay is. You can drop off your car which is very convenient. Jay diagnosed mine and explained everything in plain English without being patronizing. He's very responsive to messages, gave an honest assessment and didn't try to overcharge or upsell me. He even rode in the car with me to make sure I was comfortable driving it and that my needs were met. In short, Jay will be my mechanic for LIFE. 100% recommend. Thanks Jay!

Several weeks ago I came in for an oil change and knew their was a problem with my exhaust system. Jay showed me the exhaust problem (corrosion and rust) and told me that he didn't do that kind of work and I needed to go to a muffler/exhaust place. Jay was thorough and efficient. I actually thought that his price was rather low and told him. I asked if I could give him a tip and he refused so I gave him a hug instead. I will gladly go back if I need a car repair

The only thing that they are missing would be the towels or a way to dry off the water on the car. At least as far as I can tell. I did bring my own towels, so that was not an issue for me. I also brought my own wax, but they do offer spray on wax. I paid exactly 5 dollars and I started my wash at about 1:33 PM. I'm driving away now at 2:10 PM with a fully washed car and a fully waxed car. I did not use the vacuum since I didn't need it. For five dollars, I got pretty much the same wash that I would get at a $35 car wash that does it automatically for me. So, I suppose that it is definitely worth the value if you have the physical ability to wash your car quickly and efficiently. , If I had needed to put another five dollars then I feel like at $10 you could probably go to the automatic car washes and get a slightly better deal in that you don't have to put in any physical labor. It all depends on how valuable you feel that your time and energy are. If you feel that your time and energy are very valuable, then maybe go to one of those other car washes that does it automatically and you don't have to do anything except drive-through. On the other hand, if you like me and you can do physical labor, go for this one it's really simple to simple nozzles one nozzle for the foam brush to scrub I went over the car twice roughly and then a one that has a spray nozzle to spray the water and the wax from the same house. Bring a towel and dry it down at the end. I would highly recommend in electric battery powered blower to help you dry off the car, otherwise your arms gonna get sore. I did not see the manager, but there were a lot of people there washing their cars.

At the time, I was just interested in a quote and I told them that I would contact them again to finalize a deal if I couldn't find anyone to beat this quote. I ended up going out of town and forgot about my side project. Cut back a month later, I contact Pull-A-Part last week to sell my vehicle to them. The Operator then low-balled me with a different number than what they first offered and offered me $380. I was upset with this new number since I was expecting them to match their initial offer. I begrudgingly brought up this point and the Operator came back with a new offer of $410 for pickup on Saturday 7/12/2024. Since I was tired of dealing with this entire project, I agreed and we set an appointment to pick up my vehicle at 9am. I received a confirmation email and made preparations to have the vehicle picked up on Saturday at our agreed time. Come Saturday, I received ZERO correspondence from the hauler and at 0945am I contacted Pull-A-Part to ask if they were enroute. The Operator stated that they did not know when the hauler would arrive and that I would be contacted. Since I received no correspondence an HOUR after they were supposed to, I asked to reschedule for Monday. The Operator advised that the hauler would reschedule to Monday and did not provide a new time. The Operator stated that they "could not provide a time for Monday." I found this statement to be incredibly unprofessional since they were happy to provide a time when they first tried to low-ball me. I agreed to an ambiguous Monday reschedule. Today is Monday and you can guess that no one has contacted me and no one has come to get the vehicle. At this point, I'm sure that this business is some kind of scam.
