It seems like New Haven is setting the stage for good pizza across all of Dis-Connecticut. Our waitress was very friendly and the food came quick after it was ordered, with adequate time between the appetizer and the pizza. They also confused some orders, but fixed it almost immediately. Don't expect quick food when they are slammed, but do expect thoughtful and sincere service. Taste and Appearance - 5 We ordered 8 mild buffalo wings and a medium chicken & broccoli pizza. The buffalo wings were crunchy and the sauce tasted buttery and homemade; not the usual Red Hot flavor that most places do. The pizza was really tasty. The crust was not over-cooked, but it was light and crunchy. Along with the chicken and broccoli, there were also pieces of garlic and shaved basil. Overall Value - 4.5 The total came out to about $27 for wings and a whole pizza. Plenty for two people to enjoy. I have been a customer of Naples since it first opened in the 1990's. Back then there was a Friendly's restaurant where Starbucks is now and Naples had a hole in the wall space with no seating. We were tight on money back then so at first just bought a ball of pizza dough for $3 and made our own pie at home. Then our son Greg worked there for years starting as a dishwasher and working up to a pie master. Kurt is a foundation of the community; I truly love him and his family. Dinner for two. I've actually never sat down to eat here before, so this was a new experience for me (I've had their pizza before through take it). This place is what I could call a well oiled machine. From the minute I walked in, there were tons of employees (many were teenagers) that were professional and ready to take orders. I was impressed! My husband and I decided to sit down and eat. We ordered a sherry salad with shrimp, a house salad with chicken, diet Coke, and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The food was more than enough to make us full, and cost us $30. Not bad for a night out! The salads were so good! All the ingredients were fresh and the croutons seemed to be home made. Overall a really good pie - not too much cheese, not wet in the middle...a very good combination of toppings. Pizza gets an "A". The large is a big pizza - yields 12 slices. But I was surprised at the price - $28! I just called in the order after seeing it rated #1 in the area on Yelp. But to understand their pricing I went to the website...a large pizza is $18 and every topping for a large pizza is $2.50... so it adds up... Like many, I'm picky about pizza. There are a few places I get pizza from in Boston and that's it. Pizza is a treat and I don't care for average pizza. We were driving back from NY and stopped at this place solely based on a few customer photos that looked ok on Yelp. We split a classic Fresh Mozzarella Pizza from their menu and it was surprisingly excellent. Thin and slightly charred bready crust with a nice crispy bite and a simple, but well balanced tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and chopped basil. Ultimately simple, yet so easy to mess up. I have no idea if anything else on their menu is half as good as this simple pizza, but this was a dish worthy of a gem find on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. read more

Stopped in for a cheese pizza and fried mozzarella on a Saturday night. The pizza is really tasty it's not thin crust like New Haven style but is on the thinner side. I have eaten here once and did take out also. Pizza is very yummy, served hot, crust is nearly perfect. I like a little more char, but that did not take away from the yumminess. Staff is VERY attentive, always smiling and happy to help. Honestly, Naples has some of the most consistently good pizza in the area. When I first moved to Farmington I wasn't sure what all the fuss was about, but after almost two years of ordering pies from here at least once a month, sometimes more, I can seriously say that I've only had ONE pizza here that I didn't think was great. I've never had a messed up order, I've never had to wait more than half an hour to pick up after ordering, and I've never had a bad customer service experience. They have a lot of young people working there, but they have such a good system and everyone is attentive and works hard, even when they're slammed...which is often. First, I love a brick oven blackened crust, and that's exactly what I get here. It is clear that good quality, fresh ingredients go in to everything they make. Their sauce is perfect, not too sweet and it's more like crushed tomatoes than pureed completely. Our personal favorite is tomato, basil, and fresh mozz, pizza as the Italian's intended.
