Hands down the BEST pizza place in Hartford and Farmington counties. And a great pizza "joint" to dine in. We've never had takeout here because the dining room is so inviting and the service is great. The pizza is thin crust with the perfect amount of crunch, and the sauce is so tangy. I love coming here because it's not EVEN all about the pizza. And everyone writes about the pizza! The wings are great- the meatballs are delicious, and my FAVORITE part are the salads! This is a great place to go if some people want a perfect pizza but others want a healthier option. Very fresh made with local farm ingredients when available and GET THE SHRIMP on it. I always choose the Waldorf, which is a spin on the traditional Waldorf but with a nice light but. Arugula, candied walnuts, dried cranberries, apples, celery, blue cheese crumbles, red onion with and a very tasty red wine vinaigrette. And the beer and wine options are great too. This place introduced me to an Italian red Nero D'Avola and you can get a small or large glass. I don't live far but I wish it were closer so I could order their delightful items more often. Naples is, by far, my favorite pizza place in the area. When I think of the perfect pie (by which point I have started salivating, no question), I think of the pies here - the crust is crispy and firm, not too thick, always golden but never burned. My go-to order is the Naples Special pizza which comes with meat and vegetable toppings aplenty. Depending on the crowd with whom we will be dining, we may switch out the meat for more veg or cheese or keep it as is. It never fails to satisfy hungry eaters. Along with my pizzas, I almost invariably get the Tuscan Salad - which is truly made special by the perfectly crispy polenta croutons. The house balsamic dressing is also consistently tasty. After driving by this place all the time, finally stopped in for dinner the other night. Well at least we tried to eat in. Got there about 6:15pm on a Saturday night and was told the wait was 25 or so minutes and decided to wait. The inside seating area is very small, it was clear now that most people get take-out from here. After about 35 minutes we could tell we wouldn't be seat anytime soon so decided to order a pizza to go. As we were leaving with our pizza are name was called, it was now just about 7:00pm. We ordered a medium half bianco and half with sausage and ricotta. The pizza was DELICIOUS!! A nice thin but not to thin crust. The medium was plenty big and we had leftover for lunch the rest day. They do have a selection of beers and cider on tap. But since I had to be up early the next day, I tried a white birch beer while we waited. It was good and they gave us a take out cup to go. So we learned our lesson, this place is popular so unless you have a while to wait for a table order take-out. read more

It had croutons, tomatoes, onions, and olives- didn't love it because we really didn't care for the house dressing flavor at all, but that might just be our taste. Also had the arugula and prosciutto pie red - tasty sauce and cheese, great truffle and lemon dressing on argulua. The crust is a hand tossed medium thickness. I prefer wood fired thin crust, but this wasn't bad. We will be back to try it again and I may update my review at that point. read more

NAPLES! I must say that this is THE spot for PIZZA! I've ordered takeout for the first time earlier today and I just have to say that it was phenomenal! Definitely the best pie I've had so far here in CT. I highly recommend this place to anyone because who doesn't love pizza!? I ordered a medium Fresh Mozarella for my lovely lady and myself and we can both agree that this pizza was great! It was definitely a lot larger than I thought it would be also. The medium can feed a group of 4. The fresh moz was delicious and it was all topped off with some basil for the perfect traditional italian taste. Let me preface this review: we are regulars of Naples, have grown to love their food. Tonight we ordered a grinder and a pizza. After waiting 20 minutes past the expected pickup time, we got home to find the pizza was ice cold and the grinder was soggy and the cheese not even melted. When you walk into Naples, you are greeted with a delicious Italian smell that immediately makes you think, " oh man, this is going to be good!" First time I went I ordered a chicken sandwich (sorry, I have forgotten the name). Both the sandwich and fries were nothing to write about . The pizza smelled amazing though! Next trip I got a calzone. They have s great red sauce. The pizza and calzones are very tasty! I think anything with their sauce is probably a better bet! When offered, the pasta fagioli is one of the better ones I've had also! Not a lot of room, so I normally do take out. Go early or later as parking can be tricky ! read more

I wanted to write a rave review on behalf of my work department. I contacted Naples via email to see if I could schedule our holiday get together with them. They provided wonderful customers service, responding quickly, and maintaining contact with me leading up to the party. I wasn't sure how many people would show, and they remained flexible, allowing me to adjust plans as needed. We were seated in the enclosed and heated patio, which they made cute and festive with garland and other holiday decorations. Pizzas came right out of the oven as the party started and everyone loved them (especially the Truffle pizza, yum!). We placed orders for more as needed, which was great for those who arrived late. Naples also accommodated a request of mine to offer a select menu of drinks as to keep my budget in check. They even printed out that drink menu to highlight the sangria and house wines. wonderful experience! wonderful food! wonderful wait staff! Naples is a great place for pizza. Their specialty is thin crust, New York (or is it New Haven) style pizza, however I'll let you in on a secret. Get a Sicilian style pizza from Naples at least once. It's a much thicker crust pizza, more like a pan pizza or a deep dish. It's a great occasional change of pace from the thin crust that's served pretty much everywhere around CT. Naples will also make their specialty pies, like my personal favorite BBQ Chicken, in a Sicilian style if you ask. My girlfriend and I typically split a small, which is 6 square slices. Apart from a delicious pizza, whether it be thick or thin, Naples has some really good wings. I have tried both honey chipotle and OG Buffalo wings and they were delicious. The wings themselves were really large and fried to crispy perfection. Naples also has a really great outdoor seating area, so this place is more than just a place to pick up some takeout pizza. Stop in and have a slice and a beer in their outdoor area and you won't regret it. read more

I have been getting pizza here for close to two years, and mainly it has been good, but not great. There is not enough cheese on the pizza unless you order extra cheese. I ordered our standard pizza tonight of sausage with extra cheese, and there is not way that there was extra cheese on this pizza. My wife thought the pizza tasted like it was sitting around, but it had not been because the pizza was not ready when I arrived. Yes! Oh yes indeed! I had a hankering for calzone, an item I haven't had in years. I convinced the fam that I needed this calzone pronto! Hubby picked Naples because he remembered how good the pizza was. It was a very small place that got packed like you wouldn't believe ...and FAST. I'm glad we decided to come early. Within seconds of us being seated, parades of people came in with wait times 15 minutes plus. Once I tried the food I totally understood why. This place is da bomb. We ordered wine to start and my husband ordered himself the tomato basil pizza which I tasted and deemed AMAZING! I was basically jumping out of my seat for my calzone and when I found out they let you put everything in it but the kitchen sink I was literally in heaven. I had it stuffed with chicken, broccoli and pineapple. A crazy combo for my crazy taste buds. My daughter ordered the pasta with butter and sautéed broccoli which she loved. When my calzone came out to the table it was big enough to feed 10 people but I still was able to polish off half of the glory. It was amazing and the sauce was stellar. It's been 3 1/2 years since my last visit to Naples after a bad experience and I was not sure I would ever return but return and I did and I'm glad I did. Simple cheese pizza and a wedge salad were both excellent. I love the crust on this pizza. Such great flavor and the perfect amount of chewiness and crispness. The toppings were of obvious quality and very tasty as well. The salad was also a winner with all of the elements hitting their mark. We've been regular customers of Naples since they opened 15 to 20 years ago. It has the best pizza in town in our opinion. But the customer service has been sub-par in our recent experience. We ordered takeout online this evening. My wife reported in at the time we were told the pizza would be ready. She was told it wasn't. 15 minutes later she asked what was going on and they found her pizza. It was cold. Clearly there is a management issue with the front of the house. Kurt needs to pay some attention to what's going on. read more
