We had takeout from Naples a few nights ago. We ordered a large pizza, a baked ziti, and some garlic knots. Everything was great. The pizza crust is not super doughy or cracker like. Have not been here in a long time and things have changed. It was never a place anybody would consider in the running for any awards... but it was cheap. Now, not so cheap and the pizza has shrunk!! Now a 14" pizza with a 2" crust all around it. So what you are getting is a 10" middle for $20. I could make that in my toaster oven ...and for $5 !! Did I say it wasn't good?? They have a pretty substantial menu for such small joint. We ordered over the phone on a Saturday night and only waited about 25 minutes for two pizzas. Tasty pizzas from the truck version of this restaurant at Stony Creek brewery last night! I had the tasty white garlic pizza with a side of flavorful marinara. Yum! My friend went with the tomato and applauded it, another went for classic cheese and agreed, and the next time, I will definitely order the mashed potato after my friend's review! Even the Caesar salad was good! My only complaint was the long wait - though we could see they were making the pizzas fresh so - bonus! The staff was friendly too! read more

We're not very familiar with the area, since we were in a mall; we thought we'd try the pizza. You can smell the wood burning in the air, outside the place. The pizza wasn't bad. Crispy, not spicy. There are other offerings on the menu. So although it's called a pizzeria, it's more of a restaurant. read more

Needed takeout food on a Monday night and other local pizza establishments were closed. I wish Naples was too so I could save $80 and a bad meal. Gluten free pizza crust was hard as a rock. You could crack a tooth on this crust. Eggplant definitely wasn't fresh. You could tell it was frozen and re-heated. Lastly. The pasta fagolu was a sauce broth like having crushed tomatoes as a broth. Would never return. Not remotely worth the trip. read more

Note: This review is for the pizza truck catering. The team really knocked it out of the park and cooked some fantastic pies. They put together a ton of different combos themselves and did custom pies to order including even accommodating vegan family members that brought their own vegan cheese and pepperoni. So happy my family and I found this "Old School " Italian Pizzeria! If you looking to grab something to eat while traveling on I95 you won't go wrong! I've been going to this place since I moved to Guilford in 2016. Their pizzas never disappointed. I meant look at the toppings there, very colorful, appetizing and taste good. The crust is crispy and thin which I like, soft and gooey on the top even better. They balance out each other! The price is reasonable and they are always friendly, even took a last minute order before their closing hour!. Naples Pizza is hands down the best pizza place in Guilford! My significant other and I order from Naples when we are having a date night. They offer more the pizza. Their menu is awesome! I absolutely love their meatball and spinach pizza with white sauce. Every bite is literally like a slice of Heaven. Not once have I ever been dissatisfied. They include a lot of toppings, and give you the option of white or red sauce. Prices are not bad, they are reasonable and worth every penny you spend. read more

Mostly a takeout location with a few tables. It was my first time trying it. The crust was very thin and crunchy, which I like. However, there was a slight burnt/ashy taste on the bottom that some people may not prefer. My friend got pepperoni pizza and loved it. Grew up eating Naples, and it was where everyone went after a kids sports game. Stopped in for a slice while home for the holidays; I was afraid it went away with the rest of the little stores in the plaza when the big boxes expanded but was so happy to see it was still there because it is soooooo good! Cross between NY and New Haven style, chewy and crunchy. Slice and a Foxon Park soda for about $5. Owner and employees have always been friendly and that hasn't changed. I ate here during the New Haven Grand Prix event. They had a section of local food trucks and this was my favorite. I had a slice mashed potato and bacon. It was wonderful. The service was friendly, and we were able to select which slice we would like. After throwing it in their oven for about 30 seconds, it was hot and yummy. I'm not a huge fan of tons of burnt charcoal on the bottom of my pizza, so I really like their crust. My favorite pizza places in the area are Bar and Pepes. Naples is our go to neighborhood pizza place. The thick crust pizza always hits the spot. We usually get the Naples special which comes with a variety of toppings but not too much. The crust is nice and crispy. And the sauce is always good. And when they say 20 minutes they mean it. The other thing we really like about Naples is the rest of the menu. We often get the tomato and basil bread which is very tasty with fresh tomato, garlic, and plenty of cheese. We have also enjoyed entrees like the eggplant Parmesan and the veal parm. They always taste like home cooked meals with great sauce and healthy portions. The owner is great and makes an effort to remember your name and his staff is always friendly and attentive. read more

I love Naples. They treat you like family. Tonight I wanted something different than pizza. They had something on the menu called the 'pizza pop'. Needless to say it was delicious and perfect for me since it's exactly like a calzone but, without ricotta cheese, just mozzarella cheese with your toppings. Comes with a generous side of sauce. Sometimes the accuracy of orders slides on the owner's night off. It's only happened twice but both times I was charged too much for the food I ordered.
