The various pie combinations we have had so far have all been fantastic, including several with sausage and anchovies and artichokes . All the side orders have been excellent, especially the salads. One of my favorite go-to pizza sports in the area. While the food is really good, the New Haven spots just outshine it BUT the prices are fantastic in comparison to those other places. Pre-Covid the service wasn't as good as it is now, but I'm unsure if new management moved in or some employees shifted in and out but now it's great. Super nice delivery folks and the people inside are always friendly. There isn't much room to eat in, but that's fine with me as I tend to go here for takeout or delivery anyways. First time trying pizza here. Very tiny hole in the wall place. Easy to miss if you're not looking for it but don't drive by. It's well worth stopping. They offer delivery and pick up. I chose the pick up. Ordered a small pizza with mushrooms. It was ready on time. Staff had a nice pleasant smile upon entering. Thanked me for coming in. Parking lot could use a little work as there are huge pot holes everywhere. Anyway when I arrived back at my destination I opened the box to a beautiful presentation of a perfectly done pizza The taste matched the smell and the texture of the crust was just right. A true hidden gem. So far I've had a calzone, a pizza, and a buffalo chicken sub, and every time everything was fresh and delicious. I'd even go so far to say the buffalo chicken sub is probably the best I've had, beating out the Wenzel at Alpha Delta in New Haven. The pizza is slightly thicker than your typical New Haven pie, which is by no means a bad thing, and the mozz and sauce have that excellent New Haven flavor. I don't know if it is fair to get a Sicilian Style Pizza in New Haven area but this was a first & it tasted better than any Detroit/Sicilian Style Pizza I have ever had before....& I am from Metro-Detroit. When I first picked it up, it felt so heavy that I was expecting the cheese to just slide right off the crust. Boy was I wrong. Perfect Sicilian Style: Doughy in parts but overall crunchy. Good thing about it is that it isn't like other pizzas in Southern Connecticut where you could eat a whole large pizza before you start to feel it. This pizza, you will not be able to get through 3 slices without realizing you shouldn't eat anymore. My one thing of criticism is that the slices got the large were just TOO big for an 18"x12" pizza. I would have preferred at least 10 slices instead of 8. First of all I am not a fan of Sicilian pizza. The person that bought it said this is the best Sicilian pizza in town. I had three pieces,which is quite a lot. I had the meatball which was spicy, the sausage had a good flavor and ham. The pizza had plenty of mozzarella cheese, but not much meat. Crust was thick and chewy. I like my crust cooked more. Honeyspot isn't even a restaurant, there facility is the size of my garage... the owner doesn't care about customer service ... and most importantly the there'a a few Turkish "chefs" if you can even call them that... that will curse you out on the phone if you don't like what you received... I'm trying to find the best Buffalo chicken wrap on the shoreline. I have never been to Honeyspot before so I figured I would try. I was impressed! I really enjoyed the wrap. It was perfectly wrapped and was very flavorful. I would definitely get it again. I got take out and the French fries were crispy. I liked the way they make the French fries with a nice crunch. Extremely disappointed with the "food" from Honeyspot. We ordered a large onion pizza they gave us a (cold) bacon pizza. The chicken Cesar salad wrap was wrong too. It had tomatoes in it and some weird sauce. I ordered 2 burgers from there that would make McDonalds look like gourmet food. Terrible and disappointing. I called to complain, they put me on hold for 12 minutes only to tell me the manager wasn't available to hear my complaints. They would only suggest a coupon for my next order. So I decided to order from Honey Spot this evening. I ordered a veggie grinder and carrot cake. I was told that it would take 40 minutes for the food to be delivered. It was actually delivered much sooner than that. When the delivery came, he charged me a roughly $3.00 more then what was supposed to be charges. I just paid it and sent the driver on his way. When I got the order, I noticed that it was the wrong thing. I called them back to inform them of the mistake. The guy that answered the phone had a little bit of an attitude and said he will send someone back. When the other person came with my food, they wanted the other order back, did not give me any money back for the overcharge and had an attitude. I just tried these guys the other day at work because unlike some other pizza places in Branford, these guys deliver. I'm giving them a tentative 4 stars, since I've only had them once but I think they are really good. The three-cheese white pizza was excellent. The red pizzas were OK, but in fairness they were cold when I got to them and I don't care for cold red pizza. But tonight was a disappointment I ordered from the "From the Grill" part of the menu it has burgers gyros etc so I order the gyro deluxe !! Which according to the menu comes with fries coleslaw and a pickle .. Sounds good to me !!! Guy says 30-40 minutes they got here in about 20 super quick & delivery guy was friendly Open my food Gyro looks delicious frys look hmmmmm well like frozen frys nothing great but no coleslaw no pickle so I call back and speak with "Sam" and explain to him I didn't receive my full order no coleslaw and no pickle, he puts me on hold for about 40 seconds and comes back tells me Gyros do not come with slaw and they are out of pickles ummmmmmm(no substitute apparently) ok I explain that if you look at the menu it says under "From the Grill it reads " all deluxe meals come with coleslaw pickle and frys " he grabs a menu and tells me I'm correct .!! Yay for me but what does "Sam" do absolutely nothing but tell me over and over he's sorry it doesn't come with slaw and they have no pickles ... Now I'm usually pretty understanding with some stuff like this but I expected it to be made right hey even offer too bring me a slaw seeing as that's what I ordered or maybe a discount on my next purchase since I'm a frequent customer anything too satisfy the customer!! Order two small pizzas for delivery. They arrived at the time expected and the delivery guy was great. They were also reasonably warm. However, the #7 with chicken had no chicken. I've ordered from Honeyspot for well over two years either for my family or with groups of friends. But the service has simply gone down hill. I've even over tipped to hopefully get better service. Lately it seems the orders are taking longer and longer for delivery, coming in cold now. To top it off, their old ordering web site is gone in place is some order service with the incorrect information (honeyspotpizza3.com) . For instance, Mozzarella Sticks are listed as 7pc on their new site. For 6.50, this usually isn't bad. But then we've only gotten 5pieces. Mind you, 5 rinky dink little sticks that have been overcooked. We've ordered hamburgers of varying types from Med. Rare to Well Done, but they all come the same way regardless. The restaurant was once worth ordering from, but now just doesn't seem to care what they are dishing out to customers or how long its taking to get to them. At this point, Honeyspot is no longer getting our business which may have accounted for well over $1000 over the span of a year since we order out quite a bit. read more

When I called them about the issue, they were extremely rude and yelled at me saying it was my fault and they didn't want to replace my food and "lose out". Update - Everything below still applies. Except the last part. The evening manager was much nicer and apologetic than the day shift manager and has agreed to not charge me for certain things so we still order from here. And if i had to suggest dinner I'd go with the steak and cheese grinder. Never disappoints. Delivery is a hit or miss. Chicken on salad comes cold. Manager suggested having the chicken on the side (the tomatoes make the chicken cold), then charged me 0.75 to put it on the side. They upcharge for every little thing. A cobb salad that costs $7.25 ended up being $10.75 after I requested a full egg instead of a half egg, no bacon, and chicken on the side. The also charged me $2.00 for the salad dressing that's supposed to come with the salad. I called the manager to complain about this and his response was if I don't like it to go somewhere else. We order here all the time, mostly because it's convenient and they deliver. It's decent all-around, not amazing but it'll do. There are a few other places that I think have better pizza, but I like Honeyspot best for places that deliver. They consistently hit their delivery estimate, which is always 30-40 minutes. The few times we've picked up an order on the way home from work and had it piping hot would warrant a 4 star rating but that's not what we usually do so I'll stick with 3 for delivery. read more
