    Small mushroom pizza
    Robin R.

First time trying pizza here. Very tiny hole in the wall place. Easy to miss if you're not looking for it but don't drive by. It's well worth stopping. They offer delivery and pick up. I chose the pick up. Ordered a small pizza with mushrooms. It was ready on time. Staff had a nice pleasant smile upon entering. Thanked me for coming in. Parking lot could use a little work as there are huge pot holes everywhere. Anyway when I arrived back at my destination I opened the box to a beautiful presentation of a perfectly done pizza The taste matched the smell and the texture of the crust was just right. A nice crunch without being overdone. Highly recommend. I'm looking forward to trying other items here.

Buffalo chicken sub with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and ranch

A true hidden gem. So far I've had a calzone, a pizza, and a buffalo chicken sub, and every time everything was fresh and delicious. I'd even go so far to say the buffalo chicken sub is probably the best I've had, beating out the Wenzel at Alpha Delta in New Haven. The pizza is slightly thicker than your typical New Haven pie, which is by no means a bad thing, and the mozz and sauce have that excellent New Haven flavor. Add in authentic Italian sausage and mushrooms and you have a great pizza. Terrific takeout joint, I highly recommend them!

    Sicilian Large

I don't know if it is fair to get a Sicilian Style Pizza in New Haven area but this was a first & it tasted better than any Detroit/Sicilian Style Pizza I have ever had before....& I am from Metro-Detroit. When I first picked it up, it felt so heavy that I was expecting the cheese to just slide right off the crust. Boy was I wrong. Perfect Sicilian Style: Doughy in parts but overall crunchy. Good thing about it is that it isn't like other pizzas in Southern Connecticut where you could eat a whole large pizza before you start to feel it. This pizza, you will not be able to get through 3 slices without realizing you shouldn't eat anymore. My one thing of criticism is that the slices got the large were just TOO big for an 18"x12" pizza. I would have preferred at least 10 slices instead of 8. If you're looking for a pizza outside the normal New Haven Style, then this will be your best option East of the Pearl Harbor Bridge

I originally planned to sit at the bar since I was dining solo, but it was packed for happy hour (always a good sign). I ended up in the dining room instead, and honestly, it worked out great. Service was quick and attentive from the start. My server, Christina, checked in on me several times without being overbearing, and I really appreciated how often my water was refilled especially since I skipped alcohol this visit. For food, I went all in: a dozen oysters, bang bang shrimp bao buns, and salmon sushi rolls. I finished with the crème brûlée cheesecake (which I already knew I loved from their sister restaurant). Standouts for me were the oysters, the bao buns, and that cheesecake absolutely delicious. The sushi rolls were fresh and flavorful, just a bit oversized for that perfect bite. Overall, a great experience with solid food and attentive service. I'll definitely be back maybe next time I'll snag a bar seat!

The place was vibrant, the staff friendly, service on point and the pizza was absolutely delectable! We ordered multiple apps and a variety of pizzas and all was fantastic! A New Haven style pizza but with an East Haven flair. Thin crust, char, great tasting sauce and cheese. The clams casino pizza was hands down perfect. Comparable to the big New Haven pizza biggies in all ways. Foxon Park sodas available. I was so impressed and highly recommend. Restrooms and the entire establishment very clean and well organized. It is slighly thicker than other New Haven pizzas. Oil is in sufficient quantity and tastes great. The blend of crust, tomato sauce, cheese and oil was close to perfect. They make it taste superb. I thought that one glass of soda (one liter) for $2.75 was a bit expensive. I like refills included. Generally, prices were reasonablle. Though the pizza was a five star pizza, the chicken parm was average and 3.5 star, at best. The wall was furnished with nice paintings. Wait service was good. Bathroom was clean. Plenty of parking. A good dining experience.

The restaurant has a cozy, rustic pub atmosphere that makes it a comfortable place to settle in, whether you are grabbing drinks or sitting down for a full meal. The menu leans into creative comfort food, offering elevated versions of classic pub staples. We started with the nachos, which came piled high with melted cheddar jack, chili, pico de gallo, jalapeños, and other classic toppings. They were flavorful and satisfying, with a good balance of cheese and heat, and they made for a strong opening to the meal. That said, the price felt a bit steep for an appetizer, especially compared to similar local pub spots. For what you pay, you expect either a larger portion or something that really stands out. The New England clam chowder had a rich, creamy base with tender potatoes and good seasoning, delivering that comforting, traditional flavor you hope for. However, it could have used more clams. While the broth itself was enjoyable, the clam presence was lighter than expected, and for a seafood forward soup at that price point, a more generous portion of clams would have made a noticeable difference. The meatloaf grilled cheese sandwich was one of the more memorable dishes. Thick cut toast held together hearty slices of meatloaf, melted cheddar, bacon, BBQ sauce, frizzled onions, and buttermilk ranch. It was rich, indulgent, and packed with flavor, a fun twist on classic comfort food. It is definitely not a light option, but if you are in the mood for something bold and filling, it delivers. We also ordered the Ventura Highway burger, topped with smoked bacon, gorgonzola, and guacamole over a juicy Angus patty. The combination of smoky, creamy, and tangy flavors worked well together, and the burger itself was cooked properly. Still, like the other items, the price felt high for a burger, especially when appetizers, sandwiches, wraps, and burgers all sit at the upper end of the local pub pricing spectrum. Overall, Little Pub offers creative, well executed comfort food in a welcoming setting. The flavors are there, and the menu has personality. The main critiques are value based, the chowder could use more clams, and the pricing across much of the menu feels elevated for what you receive. It is a good spot for a casual night out, just be prepared to pay a bit of a premium for the experience.

The Triforce is loaded with tuna, salmon, and shrimp, paired with fresh pineapple and crisp cucumber, then topped with kani salad, seaweed salad, green onion, and roasted seaweed. Everything is brought together (sitting on top of your choice of rice, I chose sushi rice) with their poke special sauce and sweet chili sauce, which adds just the right balance of savory and sweet without overpowering the seafood. What really stood out was the freshness of every ingredient in the bowl. The fish tasted incredibly clean and high quality, the pineapple added a bright pop of sweetness, and the seaweed and kani salad gave the bowl a great mix of texture. Every bite felt perfectly balanced, and you could tell that nothing had been sitting around -- it all tasted freshly prepared. Beyond the food, the experience was great as well. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit feel relaxed and enjoyable from the moment I walked in. It's always nice when a place combines excellent food with genuinely good service. Overall, Natural Kitchen completely exceeded expectations.
