They need to tear down this dealership and start from scratch. It's old and you feel like your going to Honest Bob's Used Cars down the street. Under the new ownership (from Roto to Napleton), (save for a few sales people) they don't appear to care about their new potential customers. Don't care to go back, and will drive additional 20-30 minutes to another Subaru/Mazda dealership. read more

My fiancé and I had a great experience buying our new vehicle from Napleton. Issac Branch assisted us and he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. There wasn't any uncomfortable high pressure sales tactics that you worry about when entering any dealership. He was very patient with us as we asked many questions before finalizing the agreement. Even after the sale was made, he made sure to follow up to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction. Best experience I've had at a dealership! Thanks again Issac! read more

Went to Napleton in Arlington Heights on Dundee Road to purchase a car we got there spoke to Jerry, he cut us a deal told us we had to wait to get into financing, waited two hours...Jerry grabbed his coat half hour later another guy came and told us, jerry went home & that the car was sold to someone else.... these guys are Scum bags. While we were there another customer, came out screaming and shouting saying these guys were shady and not to buy a car from them, should've listen to him they wasted our time. Definitely going to report Napleton in Arlington Heights to the Better Business Bureau....never again! read more

We had been looking for a new car to lease for a while, and Arlington Mazda was the best dealership we could've gone through! Daniela, our saleswoman, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made great suggestions based on what we needed. They were very accommodating and not pushy in any way. Rob was our finance manager and finalized everything very quickly for us. We would definitely recommend them! read more

I also wish I could give these jerks 0 stars! And I wish I'd read others' reviews before I went here. This is easily the worst customer service experience I've ever had. The jerk who sold me the car was fired just days after my purchase; too bad it wasn't BEFORE I'd bought my car. Trying to get my remote start installed was beyond infuriating and filled with all kinds of wrong information. I honestly can't put into words how angry this place has made me. And when I reached out to the service manager and the owner, they couldn't have cared less about how upset I was. I absolutely will not be going to any Napleton dealer ever again and I'd suggest no one else does either. I really can't see how they stay in business with the way they operate. read more

This dealer Bait and Switched us big time! We went in for a Toyota RAV4 that they had listed online for $13,000. We went in specifically for this car. Well, they actually had it listed at $19,000. What a terrible business practice! Not to mention illegal! read more

Napleton's Arlington Mazda - Online proof - Car Dealers Near Me - Arlington Heights, Illinois

As an update, I wish I could give Napleton as a whole -10 stars. They have the absolute worst customer service. The scammed me into buying an elite package but didn't explain its limitations. When I decided to cancel the package they wouldn't give refund me for the portion I had already paid for which didn't provide me with anything and still haven't completed refunding the rest of it two months later. This is a terrible operation full of liars. Don't trust a word they tell you and steer clear!! read more

Never buy from them. Go to CarMax. We recently bought a car from them. We saw the same make model car with approximate same milage and usage for almost same price at CarMax, but we would have had to pay a couple hundred dollars for a transfer. That is exactly what we should have done in hindsight, but instead, we went to Napleton. Our experience with Napleton went like this: 1. The price online was different than when we walked in. We were told that they had to compete with online pricing to get us in the door and that the sticker price was what they were selling it for. It was nearly $1,000 more. 2. When we told them that we were only going to pay what it was listed for online and they couldn't bait and switch us, they agreed to online price but then tried to tack on hundreds of dollars for "cleaning fee" and "inspection fee." Our response was that those are things they simply have to do to resell cars and they couldn't pass that onto consumers as additional fees. It's the cost of doing business. 3. They then tried to sneak in $800 gap insurance after we repeatedly and explicitly said that we wanted no added warranties or insurance. They tried to lie and say it was already wrapped into price of car, but I found the individual charge in the paperwork. Lies. 4. After we got car home, I found the license of the former owner in the car, along with garbage (so no really cleaning anyway) and we noticed all of the fluids were low. So we took the car to two different places for inspection, tune up, and oil change - Mazda of Orland Park and an independent mechanic in Oak Lawn - and at both places, they said that the two front tires and tie rod needed to be replaced immediately as they were unfit for the road. I tried calling Napleton and they would only offer me a discount on service for repair. I told them to buzz off. We had Mazda of Orland Park do the work because I have kids and I do not trust Napleton to do anything competently. So heed my warning: Do not buy anything from Napleton, specifically, Napleton's Arlington Subaru Mazda. Our previous two cars were from CarMax and we had great success there. I wish I had never strayed. Don't make my mistake. read more

The worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Was going to buy a car with my own financing. They lied to me that they need my SSN to proceed with the deal (anti-terrorist check, etc) and performed the hard pull to my credit history without my approval for this. Moreover, I explicitly asked them not doing that. The management is too pushy and unprofessional. Wouldn't recommend anyone to deal with them. read more

Great dealership with very helpful sales associates! Patiently walked me through leasing my car and getting me the best deal! Thank you Frank and Matt!! read more

Both Issac Branch and Joe Pepsnik made sure I walked out today feeling comfortable within my budget and also happy with my decisions. Although the original car I wanted wasn't an option, they brought to my attention the 2nd best option! There was no pushy sales or forcing me to buy something I wasn't 100% sure about. Issac made the test drive fun and was very knowledgeable- Joe ran the numbers as quickly and efficiently as possible. Thanks guys! read more

I would give this place 0 stars is possible. My brother was looking for a used car and having made intensive research online, he had a specific car he wanted to check out at this dealership. The cars were priced online and at the dealership, the car was not being advertising for that price. This place uses false advertisements and lies to get you in the door. They add on "service fees" for the used cars. They up-charge every single used car with bogus "fees." I have never heard of additional fees for service and cleaning for a used car. That is the dealerships problem... The finance manager is completely and utterly rude as well. He was yelling at my family in the rudest tone and arguing with us. We just left after that. These people need to learn how to be somewhat decent people to be in this type of business. I have no idea how this place is still open. read more

My oil change took 2 hours and 45 minutes, and I had an appointment scheduled for this. The place was not organized, I won't be going back here. read more

It used to be ROTO and what a horrible place it has been. They sold me a brand new car with a paint stains (couldn't remove them). The convertible top was rattling beyond anything I had heard. The service department is the worst I have ever experienced. Having dealt with the "Mazda experience" I will never buy their products and the big contributor to that is how CRAPPY this dealership is. read more

Awesome no fuss, straight forward team My prior experiences w/ other dealerships were awful, so I started calling Mazda dealerships around Chicago. I had talked to Matt on the phone, really enjoyed his no-BS approach, where he clearly explained the decision making process to me. So I drove dozens of miles out of my way to go to this dealership where the entire staff was very kind and helpful to me. Isaac was a class act and took care of me when picking up the car. All in all - Matt made the decision making process straightforward + seamless, gave me a reeeally good deal that was well below others, and has been incredibly helpful even to this day with anything that comes up w/ the car. Recommend over and over again. I bought a 2018 CX-5. I love the car. I'm now planning on buying a Miata for fun (they are incredible to drive) - I plan to purchase from here when I finally do. read more

My daughter bought a car from this dealership two weeks ago, and last week, the manual transmission failed while she was in Madison, WI for our son's wedding. Illinois has an implied warranty law that requires used car dealerships to repair major failures happening in less than 500 miles, so she called the dealership to see what she should do to get it repaired. The dealership has put her on hold, transferred calls to voicemail or just let the phone ring, and when they did answer, they told her the clutch and bearings are not part of a manual transmission - maybe thinking she would believe such a ridiculous statement because she's a woman? In any case they have done nothing at all to help her, and if your're a young woman, a person with a daughter, or for that matter, a human being who wants to buy a used car you can trust from a dealer that looks out for its customers, don't buy a car from Napleton Arlington Mazda. read more

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. My daughter was buying her first car, we signed a purchase agreement and were to come in a few days later to finalize everything and pick up the car. The next day, I called to confirm the pick up date. I was informed that they couldn't honor the price they gave me the day before (and was in the signed purchase agreement). If we still wanted the car we would have to pay $1500 more. Ridiculous and total sham. NEVER will we ever give any money to Napleton again. Zero integrity and owners who don't care that they have sales people that flat out lie to customers. Terrible business practices. We ended up buying a car at Elmhurst Mazda and the experience was the complete opposite! If you want a Mazda, save yourself some aggravation and go straight to Elmhurst. read more

Make your own decision but heed my warning first. My mother in-law brought her Mazda to our mechanic in mid Jan 2019 to correct an issue with her brake fluid. Our mechanic said this is something only the dealership can fix so we brought it to Napletons. She was quoted a whopping 1400.00 to fix the issue. She reluctantly agreed even though she's 76 yrs old on a budget and after being told "this car has plenty of miles left" by the service manager at the dealership. She comes to pick up the car and was told they took it for a test drive and everything is working. She leaves the dealership and drives no more than 1 block before the car stalls and the panel lights up like a Christmas tree. After returning the vehicle, she's told, surprise, there is a new issue and it would cost another 1300.00 to fix. Frustrated she asked what it would cost to just buy the car, the dealership provided such a generous offer of 500.00 for the car, yeah right. We left with the car bringing it to our main mechanic. Not only did he say they did way more work than it needed, but that the brakes are still not right. Moral of the story, STAY AWAY FROM THESE con artist. They are dishonest and will not stand by their work. read more

Everybody attention!!!! Do not ever go to this store! No credit! No trust! No integrity! We came to the shop and agreed with the sales guy named Danilo Chacon and his manager Marz to sale us 2007 Mazda CX-9 with $5200 on October 1st, 2018. We paid $500 deposit to hold the car. I called them today trying to schedule a time before October 9th, 2018 to pay the rest of price and pick up the car. Now they told me they have already sold the car two days ago!!! !!!!!! Is treating the only way how thisi company does its business?????? read more

Ali Bilal and Walter Hamilton were wonderful to work with. They got me what I was looking for and my financing done right. Thanks, guys.

Do not go to this dealership!!! Please!!! They are very shady!!! Will do all the tricks in the book to get as much money from you... would not give us an exact amount until we agree to actually be interested in buying. Asked for $500 in order to "keep the price" and to "hold the car" since we could not close that day... called us on the day that we agreed to get the car and said the car was already SOLD!!! Upset and frustrated we asked for the refund of said deposit but the manager i think his name was TEO or something said that we have to go back to the dealership in order to process the refund... called BULL on their tactic to reel us back into the dealership and said that this was the first time a merchant actually asked the customer to go back to the store to get a refund... After giving them a few verbal jujitsu they eventually "figured" a way to refund us the money without going to the dealership. Just go to libertyville dealerships.. they are polite... would never harass you and you would not feel like you are going to be ripped off... emailed management already but im really not expecting them to do something bec the fact that they employ these people is already a reflection of what kind of management this dealership has.... SHADY!!! ABSOLUTELY SHADY!!! read more

Beware!!!!! Almost bought a car from them. Certified online price was going to be 1300 more than advertised. Stated they would "decertify" it and sell it to me for the price they advertised. After driving vehicle, it needed major repairs... which made me wonder what exactly did they certify? Then, thank goodness, Matt Napleton came in to answer a few final questions. He was extremely rude and abusive. He told me if I walked out the deal was GONE and he would not sell it to me later. With that, I promptly ripped up my check and left. I went directly to the city and purchased a vehicle at Autobarn Mazda in Chicago. Great experience and I don't feel dirty! read more

I had a wonderful experience trading in my Honda CR-V for a new CX-5. I had the pleasure of working with Frank Gomez, who is an honest and knowledgeable salesman. We bought a number of new and used cars over the years, our experience at Napleton's Mazda was one of the better ones. Joe McAvoy was very pleasant to work with, showed us a couple Mazda CX-5s on two separate occasions. We did a little bit of negotiating, nothing too stressful, overall a smooth transaction. We bought a car we love at a price we're happy with, and got a good price on the trade-in. read more

I've never been a fan of any Napleton or Roto dealership, but since my Mazda dealership now only has one location and it's in Orland Park, I've been forced to find a local dealer. I've been to this one twice now. This time I took my daughter's 2016 Mazda 3i Sport to have the rear brakes fixed. I was told when I brought her car in for an oil change and a tire rotation that the brakes needed work, but I was skeptical. I thought maybe it was just a way to try to drum up business. But, I was wrong. Two auto repair shops verified that her rear brakes needed work and surprisingly both shops wanted the same price as Napleton did. I've always thought dealers were way too high on repair prices, but in this case they weren't. In addition, it was nice to have a place where several mechanics work at the same time - unlike some auto shops - so that you can sit and wait for the repair instead of calling the shop two days later only to find that they haven't had time to get to your car yet. Once again, Alyssa Lupo was my customer service person and she was awesome - very attentive and knows her stuff. Repair went smoothly, was priced right, and I even got a quote on some body work that the car needs. Only "issue" that I've encountered here is that the Mazda waiting room is substandard. The drinks and snacks are sorely lacking - stale granola bars and old, tiny packages of Veggie straws show your customers how much you don't appreciate them. The black couches have what looks like white pet hair all over them. Come on guys, clean up the furniture and invest in one of those hot drink machines. If you need guidance, check out Orland Park Mazda (used to be CJ Wilson Mazda of Orland Park). They not only give customers hot drinks and water, but they have donuts, bagels & cream cheese, and fresh fruit. read more
